Description
複数の加熱体6,9を互いに開閉することができる加熱部材5,8を備えている。この各加熱体6,9を互いに閉じた閉状態Qでこの各加熱体6,9間に挿通孔20を形成している。この閉状態Qにある各加熱体6,9においてこの挿通孔20の中心線方向Yの両側でこの挿通孔20の外周に形成した両側壁21のうち少なくとも一方の側壁21の外面22には加熱手段24により発熱される加熱面を設けている。この加熱面22には複数の凸部26とその各凸部26間の凹部27とを有する凹凸部25を設けている。ちなみに、この各凹部27は各凸部26間で相対的に形成されるものを含み、この各凸部26は各凹部27間で相対的に形成されるものを含むものであり、この凸部26と凹部27とを結ぶ形状については、その凸部26と凹部27との間に例えば挿通孔20の中心線20aに対し直交する平坦部分があってもその平坦部分を凸部26または凹部27は含むものとする。
請求項1から請求項7のうちいずれかの請求項の発明を前提とする第8の発明(第1〜3実施形態に対応)において、前記加熱部材5,8はホルダ1に設けた取付部1aに支持され、このホルダ1には両加熱体6,9を互いに開閉させる開閉操作手段13を設けた。第8の発明では、ホルダ1を把持して開閉操作手段13を操作すると、両加熱体6,9を互いに開閉させることができる。
図1,2に示すように、ホルダ1の頭部1a(取付部)内において、固定支持腕2が取着されて位置決めされているとともに、この固定支持腕2よりも上側で可動支持腕3が支軸4により上下方向Zへ回動可能に支持されている。図1,2に示す下側の加熱部材5においては、固定加熱体6が固定連結腕7に支持され、その固定連結腕7が前記固定支持腕2に対し着脱可能に連結されている。図1,2に示す上側の加熱部材8においては、可動加熱体9が可動連結腕10に支持され、その可動連結腕10が前記可動支持腕3に対し着脱可能に連結されている。
図3(a)に示すように、発泡ポリエチレン等の断熱材からなる円筒状の被覆材としての保温材28により、樹脂や銅等からなる内管29の外表面29aを被覆した管部材としての流体管M1,M2は、内管29の長手方向の両側で分断されている。内管29の外表面29aと保温材28の内周面との間に隙間Gをあけることにより、拡管部や曲がり部において内管29を保温材28に挿通し易くしている。これらの流体管M1,M2を互いに接続する際には、まず、図3(b)に示すように、内管29に対し保温材28を長手方向へ移動させて両保温材28の相対向する端面28aを互いに離すとともに、両保温材28間で露出した内管29を互いに連結する。次に、図2(b)に示すように前記熱融着具の上下両加熱部材8,5を開状態Pにして固定加熱体6及び可動加熱体9の割縁部11間で挿脱許容空間Sに内管29を挿入した後、この上下両加熱部材8,5を閉状態Qにすると、内管29が挿通孔20に嵌め込まれる。その後、図3(c)及び図6に示すように固定加熱体6及び可動加熱体9の両側壁21の加熱面22に両保温材28の端面28aを押し当てると、端面28aが加熱面22の凹凸部25に沿って変形して加熱面22に接触し易くなり、それらの端面28aが同時に加熱されて熱溶融される。次に、上下両加熱部材8,5を開状態Pにして固定加熱体6及び可動加熱体9の割縁部11間の挿脱許容空間Sから内管29を離脱させると、図3(d)に示すように、溶融状態にある両保温材28の端面28aが長手方向で相対向する。このようにして熱融着具の上下両加熱部材8,5を両保温材28の端面28aから取り外した後瞬時に、溶融状態にある両保温材28の端面28aを互いに押し当てると、図9に示すように、その両端面28aが互いに熱融着されて接合され、内管29の外周全体に熱融着による継ぎ目30が生じる。
前記固定加熱体6及び可動加熱体9の外面22(加熱面)に設けられた凹凸部25においては、半径方向Bへ連続して延びる複数の山面26と複数の谷面27とが周方向Aへ交互に連続して並設されている。この山面26はその頂上面26aと谷面27の谷底面27aとを互いに結ぶ円弧状斜面26bを有している。この谷面27はその谷底面27aと山面26の頂上面26aとを互いに結ぶ円弧状斜面27bを有している。この山面26の円弧状斜面26bと谷面27の円弧状斜面27bとは互いに滑らかに連続している。各山面26の頂上面26a間を結ぶ平面と各谷面27の谷底面27a間を結ぶ平面との間の距離H(山面26の高さ、谷面27の深さ)は、互いに等しくなっている。
前記固定加熱体6及び可動加熱体9の外面22(加熱面)に設けられた凹凸部25においては、周方向Aへ連続して円環状に延びる山面26と谷面27とが半径方向Bへ交互に連続して並設されている。この山面26はその頂上面26aと谷面27の谷底面27aとを互いに結ぶ円弧状斜面26bを有している。この谷面27はその谷底面27aと山面26の頂上面26aとを互いに結ぶ円弧状斜面27bを有している。この山面26の円弧状斜面26bと谷面27の円弧状斜面27bとは互いに滑らかに連続している。各山面26の頂上面26a間を結ぶ平面と各谷面27の谷底面27a間を結ぶ平面との間の距離H(山面26の高さ、谷面27の深さ)は、互いに等しくなっている。
* 両保温材28の端面28aに僅かな凹凸や傾斜面があっても、加熱面22の凹凸部25に押し当てられた端面28aが凹凸部25に沿って変形して加熱面22に接触し易くなり、端面28aを十分に熱溶融して両端面28a間の熱融着強度を高め、流体管用保温材熱融着具の使い勝手を良くすることができる。
・ 第1実施形態で加熱面22の凹凸部25においては各山面26の周囲で環状に連続する各谷面27が互いに連続して網目状につながっているが、各谷面の周囲で環状に連続する各山面が互いに連続して網目状につながるようにしてもよい。
・ 加熱部材5,8における加熱手段としては、熱線によるヒータ24に代えて、加熱体6,9の加熱面22を加熱することができるものであればよく、例えば、その加熱面22に形成した多数の小孔からガスによる熱風を噴出させたり、ヒータ24の電源を電池にしたりすることができる。また、タングステンやモリブデンの粉末をペースト状にしてアルミナの全面に略均一に印刷したものを上記熱線に代わる抵抗体として採用する。
・ 加熱部材5,8に対する開閉操作手段13としては、前述したリンク機構に代えて、加熱体6,9を互いに開閉させることができる指当て摘みを設ける。
Claims (7)
- 複数の加熱体を互いに開閉することができる加熱部材を備え、この各加熱体を互いに閉じた閉状態でこの各加熱体間に挿通孔を形成し、この閉状態にある各加熱体においてこの挿通孔の中心線方向の両側でこの挿通孔の外周に形成した両側壁のうち少なくとも一方の側壁の外面には加熱手段により発熱される加熱面を設け、この加熱面には複数の凸部とその各凸部間の凹部とを有する凹凸部を設けたことを特徴とする管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
- 前記凹凸部において、各凸部は山面であり、各凹部はこの各山面に対し連続する谷面であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
- 前記凹凸部において、谷面は山面の周囲で環状に連続し、山面はその頂上面の周囲で頂上面と谷面の谷底面とを互いに結ぶ斜面を有し、谷面はその谷底面と山面の頂上面とを互いに結ぶ斜面を有していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
- 前記凹凸部において、各山面の周囲で環状に連続する各谷面が互いに連続して網目状につながっていることを特徴とする請求項2または請求項3に記載の管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
- 前記凹凸部において、各山面と各谷面とは、前記挿通孔の中心線を中心とする円周方向と半径方向とのうち少なくともいずれか一方の方向へ交互に連続して並設されていることを特徴とする請求項2または請求項3または請求項4に記載の管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
- 前記加熱手段は、加熱面を有する側壁の内面に面するヒータであることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のうちいずれかの請求項に記載の管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
- 前記加熱部材は取付部で相対回動可能に支持されて互いに開閉される一対の加熱体を備え、閉状態にある両加熱体において取付部における回動中心線を中心とする回動方向で相対向する割縁部には前記挿通孔を形成するための割孔を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のうちいずれかの請求項に記載の管部材用被覆材熱融着具。
