Claims (4)
- 記録用紙にトナーを用いて画像を形成する像形成手段と、
前記記録用紙に形成された画像を定着する定着手段と、
前記記録用紙に形成される画像のトナー使用量を検出する検出手段と、
複数部数の画像形成を行う際に、前記記録用紙の搬送間隔として少なくとも、第一の搬送間隔と、前記第一の搬送間隔よりも広い第二の搬送間隔と、前記第二の搬送間隔よりも広い第三の搬送間隔を設定可能であり、1部目の記録用紙の搬送間隔の最小搬送間隔が、2部目以降の記録用紙の搬送間隔の最小搬送間隔よりも長くなるように制御するとともに、前記1部目の記録用紙の搬送間隔を、前記検出手段により検出される各ページのトナー使用量に基づいて前記第一の搬送間隔以外の搬送間隔の何れかに設定し、前記2部目以降の各ページに係る記録用紙の搬送間隔を、前記検出手段により検出される前記1部目の各ページのトナー使用量に基づいて前記第一の搬送間隔と前記第三の搬送間隔の何れかに設定するよう制御する制御手段と、
を有することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記記録用紙に対して後処理を行う後処理手段を更に備え、
前記制御手段は、前記記録用紙に対して前記後処理を行う場合に、前記検出手段により検出される前記トナー使用量に基づく前記記録用紙の搬送間隔の制御を実行することを特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記後処理手段は、前記記録用紙の束を押さえつける押さえつけ部材を有し、
前記後処理は、前記押さえつけ部材で記録用紙の束を押さえつける動作を伴うことを特徴とする請求項2記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記検出手段により検出される前記1部目の各ページに対応するトナー使用量を記憶する記憶手段を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の画像形成装置。
