Description
本願は2005年11月15日に出願された米国仮特許出願第60/736,901号に基づく優先的権利を主張するものであり、その開示内容を参照することにより本明細書の一部をなすものとする。
一般に、本発明は、同調帯域上で比較的低く均一な位相ノイズを維持しながらかなり幅広い周波数レンジ(例えばマルチオクターブ帯域)にわたって動作するよう調整することができる、ユーザ指定可能であり低コストで電力効率の高い電圧制御発振器(VCO:voltage controlled oscillator)に関する。
Claims (9)
- ある周波数で動作可能な発振器であって、
ベース端子、エミッタ端子およびコレクタ端子を有するトランジスタと、
動的に調整可能な容量性素子を介して前記ベース端子と前記コレクタ端子とに跨って結合したマルチモード結合共振器と、
前記動的に調整可能な容量性素子を介して前記ベース端子に結合し、前記マルチモード結合共振器に結合し、第1の共振器に結合し、第2の共振器に結合した位相補償回路網と、
前記発振器の出力部に結合し、前記第1の共振器に結合し、前記第2の共振器に結合した分散結合媒体と
を含んでなり、
前記第1の共振器は遅波結合共振器であって、前記第1の共振器は前記コレクタ端子と前記第2の共振器とに結合している、ある発振周波数で動作可能な発振器。 - 前記ベース端子と前記コレクタ端子とに跨って結合したノイズフィルタリング回路網を更に含む請求項1に記載の発振器。
- 前記ベース端子と前記コレクタ端子とに跨って結合したノイズ除去回路網を更に含む請求項1に記載の発振器。
- 前記ベース端子と前記コレクタ端子とに跨って結合したノイズフィードバック・バイアス回路網を更に含む請求項1に記載の発振器。
- 前記マルチモード結合共振器は電磁結合共振器で構成されている請求項1に記載の発振器。
- 前記電磁結合共振器は少なくとも2つの平面結合共振器により構成されている請求項5に記載の発振器。
- 前記少なくとも2つの平面結合共振器を跨ぐ有効結合はユーザ選択可能な周波数帯域を提供するよう動的に調節することができるものである請求項6に記載の発振器。
- 前記マルチモード結合共振器に結合しており当該発振器の発振周波数を調整する働きをする同調回路網を更に含む請求項1に記載の発振器。
- プリント基板上に実装されている請求項1に記載の発振器。
