Description
Claims (26)
- 患者の身体内のターゲット組織領域の位置決めシステムにおいて、
細長いコア部材と、前記コア部材に担持される電子回路とを有するマーカと、
患者の身体内にマイクロインパルスレーダー信号を送信し、当該患者の身体からの反射信号を受信する一又はそれ以上のアンテナを具え、前記反射信号を分析して前記患者の身体内にインプラントした後の前記マーカを同定するプローブとを具え、
前記電子回路は、前記反射信号が前記マーカの同定を強化するように、前記マーカにあたるマイクロインパルスレーダー信号を変調することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記プローブが、約3乃至10ギガヘルツ(3−10GHz)の超広域帯(UWB)でマイクロインパルスレーダー信号を送信することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1または2に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記プローブが、ターゲット組織領域に隣接する患者の皮膚に置くためのほぼ平坦な患者接触面を具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記細長いコア部材が、前記マーカの端部に第1及び第2の自由端を有することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材に結合された複数のビーズを更に具え、当該ビーズが、複数の平坦面と切り立ったコーナを具え、マイクロインパルスレーダー信号の反射を強化して前記マーカの同定を容易にすることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記電子回路が一またはそれ以上のダイオードと、一のFETトランジスタを具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材が10ミリメートル(10.0mm)以下の長さであることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材が非直線形状であるが、弾性的にフレキシブルであり、前記コア部材が真っ直ぐになってターゲット組織領域への前記コア部材の導入を容易にするようにバイアスされていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項8に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材がらせん形状にバイアスされていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項9に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材がテーパ付きらせん形状にバイアスされていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材又はこれに結合されたビーズの一方から延在する細長テザーを更に具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項11に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記細長テザーが前記ビーズ又は前記コア部材の一方に切り離し可能に連結されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記マーカがその他のデバイス又はテザーから独立してインプラントするように構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項5に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記ビーズの一又はそれ以上に所定の表面仕上げがなされており、当該一又はそれ以上のビーズから反射された信号を変調して、前記マーカの同定を強化することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記電子回路が、前記マーカから反射される信号の位相を変更することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至15のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材がワイヤを含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至16のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記コア部材がアンテナを含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至14のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記電子回路が前記反射信号を位相シフトさせ、前記プローブが当該位相シフトを同定して、前記患者の身体内のその他の物体から前記マーカを区別するように構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至15のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記プローブが超広域帯(UWB)信号を送信するように構成されており、前記電子回路が当該UWBを変調して、前記反射信号が比較的狭い帯域を有するようにすることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至19のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
患者の身体内へ前記マーカを導入する送達デバイスを更に具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項20に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記送達デバイスが針とカニューレのうちの一方を具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至21のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記プローブが、前記プローブに対する前記ターゲット又はマーカの空間的関係に基づいて空間情報を提供する出力デバイスを具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項22に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記出力デバイスがディスプレイを具えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項22に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記空間情報が、組織に対して配置され且つ前記ターゲットの方向を向いている前記プローブの端部からの距離を含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至24のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記プローブがプロセッサを具え、当該プロセッサが、前記一又はそれ以上のアンテナを用いて取得したデータから前記ターゲット又はマーカを自動的に同定し、前記プローブに対する前記ターゲットの空間的関係に基づいて空間情報を決定するように構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1乃至25のいずれか1項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記プローブが患者の身体の組織に対して配置されるよう構成された第1の端部を有する可搬デバイスを具え、これによって、前記一又はそれ以上のアンテナを前記患者の身体内の組織に向けることを特徴とするシステム。
