Description
Claims (2)
- 一対の側板と、該側板を連結する複数の連結板と、を有する角形閉断面の長手形状の中空押出形材を用いて、前記一対の側板の相互の間隔である幅寸法が長手方向において相違している車両用構造部材を製造する方法において、
前記複数の連結板が何れも屈曲形状とされた前記中空押出形材を押出成形によって製造する押出成形工程と、
前記屈曲形状の前記連結板を平坦に延ばすように前記一対の側板の相互の間隔を前記長手方向において部分的に拡げて前記幅寸法を拡大する拡幅工程と、
を有し、且つ、前記拡幅工程は、前記一対の側板の一方に貫通孔を形成し、該貫通孔内にパンチを挿入するとともに、該一方の側板を保持した状態で該パンチを他方の側板に当接させてプレスにより互いに離間させることにより前記幅寸法を拡大するものである
ことを特徴とする車両用構造部材の製造方法。 - 前記連結板は、前記一対の側板に対して垂直姿勢になる垂直部を中間部分に備えており、該垂直部の両側の2箇所に屈曲部が設けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用構造部材の製造方法。
