Description
記録用紙及び布帛を含む記録媒体の記録面に付与される処理剤であって、
カチオン性物質と、
非カチオン性糊剤と、
を含み、
前記カチオン性物質は、乾燥すると可撓性の膜を形成可能なカチオン性ポリマー、カチオン性界面活性剤、多価金属塩及び多価金属イオンからなる群から選択される少なくとも一つである、
ことを特徴とする。
本発明の処理剤について説明する。前述のとおり、本発明の処理剤は、記録用紙及び布帛を含む記録媒体の記録面に付与される処理剤であって、カチオン性物質と、非カチオン性糊剤と、を含み、前記カチオン性物質が、乾燥すると可撓性の膜を形成可能なカチオン性ポリマー、カチオン性界面活性剤、多価金属塩及び多価金属イオンからなる群から選択される少なくとも一つである、ことを特徴とする。
ユニセンスFPA 100LUは、式(2)で表されるジアリルアミン類を構成単位として有する水溶性ポリマーであり、R2及びR3は、それぞれ、メチル基、X-は、メチル硫酸イオンであり、重量平均分子量は、5000を超えて20000未満である。
ユニセンスFPA 101LUは、式(2)で表されるジアリルアミン類を構成単位として有する水溶性ポリマーであり、R2及びR3は、それぞれ、メチル基、X-は、メチル硫酸イオンであり、重量平均分子量は、20000~100000である。
PAS-84は、式(2)で表されるジアリルアミン類と、式(4)及び式(5)と、を構成単位として有する水溶性ポリマーであり、R2及びR3は、それぞれ、メチル基、X-は、塩化物イオンであり、重量平均分子量は、20000である。式(4)及び式(5)において、o及びpは、それぞれ、式(2)のnと同数であってもよい。
PAS-2451は、式(2)で表されるジアリルアミン類及び式(4)を構成単位として有する水溶性ポリマーであり、R2は、メチル基、R3は、エチル基、X-は、エチル硫酸イオンであり、重量平均分子量は、30000である。式(4)において、oは、式(2)のnと同数であってもよい。
R11~R14は、それぞれ、炭素原子数1~20の炭化水素基であり、R11~R14は互いに同一でも異なっていてもよく、
X-は、アニオンである。
つぎに、本発明のインクセットについて説明する。本発明のインクセットは、インクジェット記録用水性インク及び処理剤を含むインクセットであって、前記水性インクは、アニオン性着色剤と、水と、を含み、前記処理剤は、本発明の処理剤である、ことを特徴とする。
前記水性インクは、アニオン性着色剤と、水と、を含む。
つぎに、本発明の画像形成方法について説明する。
本発明のインクセットを用いて、記録用紙及び布帛を含む記録媒体の記録面に画像を形成する画像形成方法であって、
前記記録媒体の記録面に前記処理剤を付与する処理剤付与工程と、
前記処理剤を付与した前記記録媒体の記録面に前記水性インクをインクジェット方式により吐出して画像を印刷する画像印刷工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする。
処理剤組成(表1)の各成分を、均一に混合して、18種の処理剤1~13及びc1~c5を得た。
水性インク組成(表2)における、CAB-O-JET(登録商標)200又は顔料分散液を除く成分を、均一に混合しインク溶媒を得た。つぎに、水に分散させたCAB-O-JET(登録商標)200又は前記顔料分散液に、前記インク溶媒を加え、均一に混合した。その後、得られた混合物を、東洋濾紙(株)製のセルロールアセテートタイプメンブレンフィルタ(孔径3.00μm)でろ過することで、表2に示すインクジェット記録用水性顔料インクBk及びMを得た。
水性インク組成(表2)の各成分を、均一に混合した。その後、得られた混合物を、東洋濾紙(株)製のポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)タイプメンブレンフィルタ(孔径0.20μm)を用いてろ過することで、表2に示すインクジェット記録用水性染料インクY及びCを得た。
A4サイズ(210mm×297mm)の綿(シーチング)の記録面(画像形成面)に、表1に示す処理剤1を、スプレー方式により均一に付与した。このとき、処理剤1の面積あたりの付与量は、18mg/cm2とした。ついで、アイロンを用いて、200℃、120秒の条件で、付与した処理剤を乾燥させた。つぎに、ブラザー工業(株)製のインクジェットプリンタ搭載デジタル複合機DCP-J4225Nを使用して、表2に示す水性染料インクCを用いて、前記綿の記録面(画像形成面)に画像を印刷することで、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤1の面積あたりの付与量を、表3に示すように変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤1に代えて、表1に示す処理剤2~11を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
水性染料インクCに代えて、表2に示す水性顔料インクBkを用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
前記綿に代えて、同じ平面サイズのポリエステルのツイルを用いたこと以外は、実施例14と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
水性染料インクCに代えて、表2に示す水性顔料インクM又は水性染料インクYを用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤1に代えて、表1に示す処理剤12又は13を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤1に代えて、表1に示す処理剤c1を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
前記綿に代えて、同じ平面サイズのポリエステルのツイルを用いたこと以外は、比較例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤1に代えて、表1に示す処理剤c2~c5を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤の付与を行わなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
評価サンプルを、水の中で前記評価サンプルの一部が他の部分と擦れることがない程度に振りながら5分間水洗した。水洗後、乾燥して得られた前記評価サンプルの光学濃度(OD値)を、X-Rite社製の分光測色計SpectroEye(光源:D50、視野角:2°、ANSI-T)により測定し、水洗前後での光学濃度(OD値)の差(ΔOD=水洗前のOD値-水洗後のOD値)を算出した。前記ΔODが小さい程、耐水性に優れると判断できる。
前記インクジェットプリンタ搭載デジタル複合機DCP-J4225Nにおける前記評価サンプルの搬送性を、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
AA:搬送の失敗(ジャム等)の発生率が、5%未満
A :搬送の失敗(ジャム等)の発生率が、5%以上10%未満
C :搬送の失敗(ジャム等)の発生率が、10%以上
前記処理剤付与及び乾燥後、前記画像印刷前の評価サンプルを、布目方向を長辺として5cm×15cmのサイズに調整した。同様に、前記処理剤付与前の前記綿(シーチング)又は前記ポリエステルのツイルも、同サイズに調整し、比較サンプルとした。それらの長辺15cmのうち、端部5cmを平坦な机の上に乗せ、残りの10cmを机から垂らしたときの前記机の平坦面に垂直な方向と、前記評価サンプル及び前記比較サンプルの残り10cmとのなす角度を求め、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
AA:評価サンプルにおける前記角度と比較サンプルにおける前記角度との差が、10度未満
A :評価サンプルにおける前記角度と比較サンプルにおける前記角度との差が、10度以上20度未満
C :評価サンプルにおける前記角度と比較サンプルにおける前記角度との差が、20度以上
記録用紙(アスクル(株)製の「スーパーホワイト+」)の記録面(画像形成面)に、表1に示す処理剤1を、スプレー方式により均一に付与した。このとき、処理剤1の面積あたりの付与量は、0.3mg/cm2とした。ついで、10分の風乾(自然乾燥)で、付与した処理剤を乾燥させた。つぎに、前記インクジェットプリンタ搭載デジタル複合機DCP-J4225Nを使用して、表2に示す水性染料インクCを用いて、前記記録用紙の記録面(画像形成面)に画像を印刷することで、評価サンプルを作製した。
処理剤1の面積あたりの付与量を、表5に示すように変更した以外は、実施例20と同様にして、評価サンプルを作製した。
評価サンプルの光学濃度(OD値)を、前記分光測色計SpectroEye(光源:D50、視野角:2°、ANSI-T)により測定した。
実施例1~19及び比較例1~7と同様にして記録媒体硬さ評価を実施し、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
AA:評価サンプルにおける前記角度と比較サンプルにおける前記角度との差が、20度以上
A :評価サンプルにおける前記角度と比較サンプルにおける前記角度との差が、10度以上20度未満
前記風乾後の前記処理剤を付与した前記記録用紙(A4サイズ(210mm×297mm))のカール(そり具合)を目視にて観察し、下記評価基準に従って評価した。
AA:前記記録用紙のカール(そり)がほとんどなかった
A :前記記録用紙の端部に若干のカール(そり)が見られた
記録用紙及び布帛を含む記録媒体の記録面に付与される処理剤であって、
カチオン性物質と、
非カチオン性糊剤と、
を含み、
前記カチオン性物質が、乾燥すると可撓性の膜を形成可能なカチオン性ポリマー、カチオン性界面活性剤、多価金属塩及び多価金属イオンからなる群から選択される少なくとも一つである、
ことを特徴とする処理剤。
前記処理剤全量における前記カチオン性物質の配合量が、1重量%~15重量%である、付記1記載の処理剤。
前記カチオン性物質が、ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーである、付記1又は2記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーにおいて、前記ウレタン構造部分の占める割合が10%以上である、付記3記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーにおいて、前記ウレタン構造部分の占める割合が、20%以上である、付記4記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーが、エマルションである、付記3~5のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーが、前記ウレタン構造以外の部分に、アクリル構造及びスチレン構造の少なくとも一方を含む、付記3~6のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーが、前記ウレタン構造以外の部分に、アクリル構造を含む、付記7記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーの重量平均分子量が、1000~500000である、付記3~8のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーの重量平均分子量が、3000~500000である、付記9記載の処理剤。
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーにおいて、前記ウレタン構造が、脂肪族イソシアネートと、ポリエーテル系ポリオール又はポリエステル系ポリオールと、から得られたものである、付記3~10のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記カチオン性物質が、式(2)で表されるジアリルアミン類を構成単位として有する水溶性ポリマーである、付記1又は2記載の処理剤。
R2及びR3は、それぞれ、アルキル基であり、R2及びR3は互いに同一でも異なっていてもよく、前記アルキル基は置換基を有してもよく、直鎖でも分岐鎖でもよく、
X-は、アニオンであり、
nは、5~1000である。
前記処理剤全量における前記非カチオン性糊剤の配合量が、0.2重量%~10重量%である、付記1~12のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記非カチオン性糊剤が、アルギン酸ナトリウム、α化でんぷん及びカルボキシメチルセルロースからなる群から選択される少なくとも一つである、付記1~13のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記記録媒体が前記記録用紙の場合、前記記録面の面積あたりの付与量が、1.3mg/cm2以下とされ、
前記記録媒体が前記布帛の場合、前記記録面の面積あたりの付与量が、5.0mg/cm2~48mg/cm2とされる、
付記1~14のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
前記記録媒体が前記布帛の場合、前記記録面に付与された前記非カチオン性糊剤が水洗浄される、付記1~15のいずれかに記載の処理剤。
インクジェット記録用水性インク及び処理剤を含むインクセットであって、
前記水性インクは、アニオン性着色剤と、水と、を含み、
前記処理剤は、付記1~16のいずれかに記載の処理剤である、
ことを特徴とするインクセット。
付記17記載のインクセットを用いて、記録用紙及び布帛を含む記録媒体の記録面に画像を形成する画像形成方法であって、
前記記録媒体の記録面に前記処理剤を付与する処理剤付与工程と、
前記処理剤を付与した前記記録媒体の記録面に前記水性インクをインクジェット方式により吐出して画像を印刷する画像印刷工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする画像形成方法。
さらに、前記付与した処理剤を乾燥させる乾燥工程を含む、付記18記載の画像形成方法。
前記乾燥工程において、前記付与した処理剤の重量を、付与時における前記処理剤の付与量の50%以下まで減少させる、付記19記載の画像形成方法。
前記乾燥工程において、前記付与した処理剤の重量を、付与時における前記処理剤の付与量の30%以下まで減少させる、付記20記載の画像形成方法。
前記乾燥工程において、乾燥温度が130℃~220℃である、付記19~21のいずれかに記載の画像形成方法。
前記処理剤付与工程、前記乾燥工程及び前記画像印刷工程を、この順序で実施する、
付記19~22のいずれかに記載の画像形成方法。
前記記録媒体が前記布帛の場合、さらに、前記布帛を水で洗浄する洗浄工程を含み、前記洗浄工程を、前記画像印刷工程の後に実施する、付記18~23のいずれかに記載の画像形成方法。
インクセット収容部と、処理剤付与手段と、インク吐出手段と、を含み、
前記インクセット収容部に、付記17記載のインクセットが収容され、
前記インクセットを構成する前記処理剤が、前記処理剤付与手段によって前記記録媒体の記録面に付与され、
前記インクセットを構成する前記水性インクが、前記インク吐出手段によって記録媒体の記録面に吐出されることを特徴とするインクジェット記録装置。
さらに、制御手段を含み、
前記制御手段は、前記処理剤付与手段による付与を制御する、付記25記載のインクジェット記録装置。

前記乾燥手段は、前記処理剤が付与された後の前記記録媒体を乾燥する、付記25又は26記載のインクジェット記録装置。

Claims (8)
- 記録用紙又は布帛の記録面に付与される処理剤であって、
カチオン性物質と、
非カチオン性糊剤と、
水と、
を含み、
前記カチオン性物質が、乾燥すると可撓性の膜を形成可能なウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーであり、
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーが、前記ウレタン構造以外の部分に、アクリル構造及びスチレン構造を少なくとも一方を含み、
前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーにおいて、前記ウレタン構造部分の占める割合が、10%以上であり、
前記非カチオン性糊剤が、α化でんぷん及びカルボキシメチルセルロースの少なくとも一つであり、
前記処理剤全量における前記非カチオン性糊剤の配合量が、3重量%~10重量%である、
ことを特徴とする処理剤。 - 前記処理剤全量における前記カチオン性物質の配合量が、1重量%~15重量%である、請求項1記載の処理剤。
- 前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーが、エマルションである、請求項1又は2記載の処理剤。
- 前記ウレタン構造を含むカチオン性ポリマーが、前記ウレタン構造以外の部分に、アクリル構造を含む、請求項3記載の処理剤。
- 前記ウレタン構造が、
脂肪族イソシアネートと、
ポリエーテル系ポリオール又はポリエステル系ポリオールと、
から得られたものである、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の処理剤。 - インクジェット記録用水性インク及び処理剤を含むインクセットであって、

前記処理剤は、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の処理剤である、
ことを特徴とするインクセット。 - 請求項6記載のインクセットを用いて、記録用紙又は布帛の記録面に画像を形成する画像形成方法であって、
前記記録用紙又は布帛の記録面に前記処理剤を付与する処理剤付与工程と、
