Description
このように構成された本発明によれば、運転操作のプロセスに合わせて運転関連機能を分類しているので、運転者の能力を適切に評価することができる。したがって、支援制御の対象とすべき運転関連機能を適切に選択することができる。
このように構成された本発明によれば、一過性の体調変化などに起因する一時的な運転者の能力変動の影響を抑制し、運転者が本来有している運転能力を適切に評価することができる。したがって、支援制御の対象とすべき運転関連機能を適切に選択することができる。
このように構成された本発明によれば、複数の運転関連機能は互いに影響を及ぼす(例えば知覚の誤りが判断の誤りを生む)ので、交通環境において要求される能力が相対的に高い(つまり能力不足に陥りやすい)運転関連機能を特定することにより、その交通環境において運転者の運転操作に影響を及ぼしやすい運転関連機能について適切な運転能力評価を行うことができる。したがって、支援制御の対象とすべき運転関連機能を適切に選択することができる。
本実施形態の車両運転支援システム100は、車両を運転するために運転者が備える複数の運転関連機能の各々について、運転者の運転操作に基づき当該運転者の能力を評価する。また、車両運転支援システム100は、過去の運転者の能力の評価結果に基づき、運転関連機能の各々について運転者の能力が所定の基準を下回っており且つ今後向上しないか否かを判定する。車両運転支援システム100は、運転関連機能の少なくとも一部について運転者の能力が所定の基準を下回っており且つ今後向上しないと判定した場合に、当該能力を運転者が発揮しなくても運転を行えるように、当該運転関連機能を車両に代行させる代行制御を実行する。

Claims (4)
- 車両を運転するために運転者が備える複数の運転関連機能の各々について、前記運転者の運転操作に基づき当該運転者の能力を評価する能力評価手段と、
過去の前記運転者の能力の評価結果に基づき、前記運転関連機能の各々について、前記運転者の能力が所定の基準を下回っているか否か、前記運転者の能力が今後向上しないか否か、及び前記運転者の能力が低下傾向にあるか否かを判定する判定手段と、
前記運転関連機能の少なくとも一部について、前記運転者の能力が所定の基準を下回っており且つ今後向上可能である、又は、前記運転者の能力が所定の基準以上であり且つ低下傾向にある、と前記判定手段が判定した場合に、前記運転者による当該能力の発揮を前記車両に支援させる支援制御を実行する車両制御手段と、
を備え、
前記車両制御手段は、前記車両の交通環境を検出し、検出された前記交通環境に応じて、目標走行経路を設定し、前記目標走行経路を走行するための前記車両の制御目標値を設定し、
前記能力評価手段は、前記制御目標値と、前記運転者の運転操作に応じた前記車両の制御値との乖離に基づき、前記運転者の能力を評価する、
車両運転支援システム。 - 前記運転関連機能は、交通環境を知覚する知覚機能と、前記交通環境において必要な運転操作を判断する判断機能と、前記運転操作を行う操作機能と、を含む、請求項1に記載の車両運転支援システム。
- 前記能力評価手段は、走行開始から終了までの1回の走行毎に前記運転者の能力を評価し、
前記判定手段は、複数回の走行における前記運転者の能力の評価結果に基づき前記判定を行う、
請求項1又は2に記載の車両運転支援システム。 - 前記能力評価手段は、前記交通環境に基づき、前記複数の運転関連機能の中で前記運転者に要求される能力が相対的に高い運転関連機能を特定し、前記制御目標値と前記運転操作に応じた前記車両の制御値との乖離に基づく前記運転者の能力の評価を、前記特定した運転関連機能についての評価とする、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の車両運転支援システム。
