This invention relates to a solid bath additive.

Conventionally, as a bath additive, Patent Document 1 discloses a method in which parts constituting a finger puppet are embedded inside a water-soluble solid bath additive. The parts constituting the finger puppet are connectable, with one end having a convex portion and the other a concave portion, and the finger cap body has a cylindrical structure with an opening. Furthermore, the bath additive containing the toy is packaged together with a card related to the finger puppet.

Utility Model Registration No. 3164108

Patent Document 1 describes a bath additive containing a toy that allows users to communicate by using the parts that emerge from the bath additive as finger puppets. However, the toy that emerges from the bath additive is only used as a finger puppet, and therefore has shortcomings in terms of entertainment value.

The present invention aims to provide a highly appealing solid bath additive.

One embodiment of the present invention is a solid bath additive comprising a liquid-soluble main body and a toy of one of several types enclosed within the main body and configured to be invisible from the outside. The main body is configured to conceal the toy before dissolution, and after dissolution begins, the liquid in which the main body is dissolved is configured to change according to the type of toy that was enclosed within.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a highly appealing solid bath additive.

The following describes an embodiment of a solid bath additive representing one aspect of the present invention, with reference to the figures.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of solid bath additive 1. Figure 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of solid bath additive 1 shown in Figure 1.

As shown in Figure 1, the solid bath additive 1 comprises a roughly spherical, water-soluble main body 10A (10) and a doll-shaped body 20A (20) enclosed within the main body 10A. The doll-shaped body 20A, modeled after a specific first character, is held within the water-soluble solid main body 10A. When placed in a solution, such as bathwater 50 (see Figure 3), the main body 10A dissolves, revealing the doll-shaped body 20A. While the manufacturing form of the main body 10A is not particularly limited, it can be molded by combining halves 11 and 12, each having a specific external pattern 10m on its outer surface and an internal space.

The doll body 20A is made of a relatively flexible, water-insoluble material such as synthetic resin or rubber, and is designed to float on water. However, the main body 10A is made of a material that does not float on water. Therefore, the solid bath additive 1 can either float or sink depending on the weight ratio of the solid body 10A to the total weight of the solid bath additive 1.

As shown in Figure 2, the main body 10A of the solid bath additive 1 has, for example, a surface 10s formed by the main body 10A, and an internal containment space SP is formed by the main body 10A. A doll body 20A and a tablet-shaped sub-body 30A are provided within the containment space SP. With this configuration, the doll body 20A appears after the solid bath additive 1 is put into the bath water 50 and dissolves. The sub-body 30A contains a dye that dissolves upon contact with the bath water 50 and produces a predetermined color, for example, white. In addition, several types of doll bodies 20A are prepared in advance for inclusion in the main body 10A, and their selection is determined in correspondence with the main body 10, as will be described later.
The exterior color of the main body 10A is, for example, orange, a warm, inviting color. In addition to the pigment, the main body 10A also contains, for example, citrus fragrance components and carbonated effervescent components.

Figure 3 is an explanatory diagram showing the state after adding the solid bath additive 1 to the bathwater 50.
The solid bath additive 1 is configured so that its main body 10A floats on water. In this case, when the solid bath additive 1 is placed in the bathwater 50, as shown in Figure 3, a region of the first orange color 51 is formed on the exterior of the main body 10A. Over time, for example, the area of the first color 51 on the bathwater 50 expands, and the main body 10A becomes a translucent light orange color. Subsequently, as the color dissolves, the main body 10A dissolves and becomes smaller. Furthermore, when the main body 10A dissolves, bubbles 58 are produced because it contains a foaming component.

Figure 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the state of the bath water 50 when the main body 10 has almost completely dissolved.
From the initial stage when the solid bath additive 1 begins to dissolve (the state shown in Figure 3), to the point when the main body 10 has almost completely dissolved, the doll body 20A will be floating on the surface of the water, as shown in Figure 4. At this time, around or near the doll body 20A, an area of a second color 52, such as white, which is different from the initial orange first color 51, will appear within the area of the first color 51. This second color 52 is the color of the dissolving sub-body 30A.

The sub-body part 30A is designed to sink in water, and is therefore located directly below or near the bottom of the bathtub 60 where the doll body 20A is floating. Consequently, when the second color 52 begins to appear, the color near the doll body 20A begins to change, as shown in Figure 4. Finally, the entire bathwater 50 changes to a color that is a mixture of the second color 52 and the first color 51. In this case, a warm-toned skin color, a composite of orange and white, can be achieved.

The first color 51 and second color 52 of the appearance of the main body 10A and sub-body 30A are colors that match the character's appearance color or a part of the appearance color, or colors that match or approximate the character's image color. In addition to this change in appearance, it also contains a component that provides a warming effect, keeping the body warm even after getting out of the bath. This warming component can be included in either the main body 10A or the sub-body 30A, or both.

Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view showing another example of solid bath additive 1.
In the case of the solid bath additive 1 shown in Figure 5, the doll body 20B housed in the containment space SP is modeled after a second character different from the one shown in Figure 2. The doll body 20B shown here is modeled after an animal that inhabits cold regions, such as a penguin. The main body 10B is colored, for example, light blue. The sub-body 30B is configured to produce a color corresponding to the character of the doll body 20B. The solid bath additive 1 is designed to sink in water. Therefore, when the solid bath additive 1 is put into the bathwater 50, it sinks to the bottom of the bathtub 60.

Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the state of the doll body 20B and the bathwater when the main body 10B shown is melted.
When the solid bath additive 1 is added to the bathwater 50, it sinks to the bottom of the bathtub 60. Then, the bathwater 50 becomes a transparent light blue color as the third color 53 pigment dissolves. After a certain period of time has passed and the main body 10B has almost completely dissolved, the figure 20B floats to the surface of the liquid, as shown in Figure 6. At this point, the character becomes clear for the first time.

Furthermore, around the time the main body 10B finishes dissolving, the sub-body 30B comes into contact with the bathwater 50 and begins to dissolve. As the sub-body 30B dissolves, a fourth color 54 appears, which is, for example, a darker blue than light blue, relative to the third color 53, as shown in Figure 6. In addition to containing the pigment of the third color 53, the sub-body 30B also contains other substances, such as menthol. Furthermore, a fragrance component, such as a soda scent, can be added. Moreover, to match the appearance of the third color 53 and the fourth color 54, a refreshing sensation can be achieved when getting out of the bathwater 50. Finally, the main body 10B dissolves, and the bathwater 50 is colored with a cool, transparent, light blue third color 53.

Furthermore, since the sub-body portion 30B is constructed to be heavy enough to sink in water, it sinks to the bottom of the bathtub 60 directly below or near where the floating doll body 20B is located. As a result, similar to the case shown in Figure 4, the fourth color 54 begins to change color near the doll body 20B, as shown in the illustration. Also, in the final stage, when most of the sub-body portion 30B has dissolved, the remaining fragments 30b of the sub-body portion 30B float to the surface, as shown in the illustration. This state can be used to create a visual effect, for example, representing a penguin and ice, further enhancing the feeling of coolness.

Figure 7 is a cross-sectional view showing another example of solid bath additive 1.
In the configuration shown in Figure 7, the doll body 20C housed in the housing space SP of the main body 10C is modeled after a third character, different from those shown in Figures 2 and 5, for example, a four-legged animal with a long tail. A third sub-body part 30C is also provided within the housing space SP. The doll body 20C is, for example, composed of warm colors such as brown and red in appearance, and the image of the character also evokes a warm feeling.

In this embodiment, the main body 10C is configured as a two-layer structure consisting of an inner layer 10i and an outer layer 10u. Furthermore, the main body 10C is configured such that, for example, the outer layer 10u is made of a fourth color 54 (pink), and the inner layer 10i is made of a fifth color 55 (orange). The sub-body 30C is made of a sixth color 56 (red). In addition to the sixth color 56, the sub-body 30C also contains a component that provides a sensation of warmth, similar to how the body feels.

Figure 8 is a perspective view showing the doll body 20C and the bathwater state when the main body 10C shown in Figure 7 has melted.
When the solid bath additive 1 is placed in the bathwater, the main body 10C dissolves, and then the fifth color 55 (pink) followed by the sixth color 56 (orange) dissolves. A mixture of these colors is then formed. Subsequently, the seventh color 57 (red) dissolves from the auxiliary body 30C. All of these colors are warm colors and correspond to the hues of the doll body 20C. Furthermore, the components that dissolve from the auxiliary body 30C, as described later, provide a sensation of warmth to the body.

In this embodiment, the components that can be contained in the main body 10 and the auxiliary body 30 include components that change the color of the bathwater 50, components that emit fragrance, and components that provide direct sensations to the skin. Examples of colors include gray, red, blue, green, yellow, dark blue, orange, purple, brown, light blue, dark red, green, light brown, light purple, black, and pink. Examples of fragrances include milk, sea, forest, citrus, soda, orange, grape, earth, soap, lavender, cypress, rock, chamomile, peach, and carbonated beverage. Examples of direct sensations to the skin include moisturizing, warming, cooling, smoothing of the skin, sweating, improved blood circulation, skin cleansing, and softening of the bathwater through foaming.

As described above, in this embodiment of the solid bath additive 1, for example, the doll-shaped figures 20 (20A, 20B, 20C) modeled after a specific character are enclosed within the main body 10, so that they are not visible externally until the main body 10 dissolves. The doll-shaped figures 20 become visible only after the solid bath additive 1 is placed in the bathtub 60 and the main body 10 has dissolved. Furthermore, the appearance of the revealed doll-shaped figure 20 adds an element of anticipation, as it is not clear what character will appear.

Furthermore, in the solid bath additive 1 of this embodiment, a doll figure 20 associated with the state of the dissolved liquid is selected and displayed, resulting in a synergistic effect between the appearance of the doll figure 20 and the liquid. In addition to the visual changes in the bathwater 50, the sensory changes felt on the skin can also be made to correspond to sensations associated with the doll figure 20, or sensations associated with the visual state such as color.

In this embodiment of the solid bath additive 1, as the main body 10 begins to dissolve, the bathwater undergoes changes in appearance such as color and transparency.
