Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible disk with superior nondefective ratio and durability in which homogenization can be obtained by performing secondary grinding on the surface of the flexible disk after being ground by a grinding tape by a specific grinding head. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the flexible disk 2 after being ground by the grinding tape is ground by the grinding head 1 formed in a layer shape block adhered along in the rotational direction of the disk and in such a way that plural blocks are linked at a plane at right angles to the rotational direction. Therefore, it is possible to smooth the surface of the flexible disk 1 after being ground by the grinding tape by the edge of substance adhered along the direction in which the head 1 travels and also, an end face linked at the plane at right angles to the rotational direction. プの表面粗さのばらつきが研磨テープ製造工程の問題と
リール状だ巻かれた製品形態の点からフレキシブルディ
スクの製造条件に大きな影響を与えるため、ばらつきを
なくした均一性を持った研磨テープが求められているが
、有効な解決手段が見つかってはいない。

かし、近年フレキシブルディスクの大容量化が図られて
きておシ、且高耐久性を要求されるに到り、フレキシブ
ルディスク表面の不均一な粗さの一低減はますます重要
な項目となってきておシ、磁性塗料の分散性の向上と共
に従来のテープ研磨法等によるフレキシブルディスク表
面性の向上が強く望まれている。

質と耐久性をバランスよく保ったフレキシブルディスク
を提供できる。
