るには、通常、蛇腹管2の向きを変更するか、も
しくはエンジンブロアー自体の向きを変更してい
た。しかして蛇腹管2による方向変更の場合にあ
つては、蛇腹状の「ひだ」21の数が余りに少け
れば方向変更が困難もしくは不可能となるので、
「ひだ」21の数を多くして方向変更を行なうこと
になるが、その反面、取扱にくくなり、また蛇腹
管2を急激に屈曲したとき、横断面の円形が楕円
形もしくは長方形、さらには通気不能な程度の歪
曲せる形態になり加圧風の流動を著しく阻害する
一方、エンジンブロアー自体の向きを変えるに
は、可搬式のものにあつては作業者に徒らな心身
上の疲労を早期に招く上に、その取扱に難渋し、
煩雑感を伴う等の問題点があつた。

と、該フアンケースに形成される吸入口と直交す
る側縁に外方へ突出する断面が球形状の膨出部と
を一体に形成する一方、一端を断面が円形状の筒
部を形成した中空状部材の他端を球形部に形成
し、該球形部を前記膨出部内へ回動自在に嵌合
し、前記中空状部材の回動で前記筒部の開口を適
宜位置に設定・保持可能とした可搬式エンジンブ
ロアーの吐出口を提供しようとするものである。

図において右側)に吸入口14を、またこの吐出
口14と略直交状態下に開口部15を夫々設け、
開口部15の先端に、前記筐体12,13の上方
で夫々断面が半円形の接合片a,bを対向・接合
して第1図にみるように、断面が球形状の膨出部
Vを形成し、この膨出部Vの内周縁に可撓性に富
む合成樹脂製の中空状部材16の球形部Sを回動
自在に嵌合し、必要に応じ中空状部材16の断面
が円形状の筒部hに、第1図にみるような管状体
17を装着可能としてある。しかして前記膨出部
Vと、この膨出部Vに嵌合する球形部Sと、これ
に一体形成される筒部hとからなる中空状部材1
6とで形成される空間を吐出口Kと称し、中空状
部材16を第1図においてたとえば実線位置から
鎖線位置に変位させ、当該位置で後述のエンジン
Eの駆動でフアンケースC内に発生せる加圧風が
開口部15を経て吐出口Kを流動するとき、球形
部Sは加圧風により外側に向け押圧され、膨出部
V内周縁に密着されて膨出部Vと中空状部材16
とは一体的に結合された状態下におかれ、その結
果、吐出口Kは一定位置に保持可能としてある。
前記吸入口14と反対側(第3図において左側)
にフアンケースCに取付けられたエンジンEの駆
動でフアンケースC内のフアン(図示しない)を
回動させ、加圧風を発生可能としてある。図中、
18は摺動式のスロツトルレバー、19は台盤、
20は燃料注入栓、21はマフラーカバー、22
はエアクリーナー、Rはリコイルスターター、d
は球形部Sの外径、iは膨出部Vの内径である。

大気側への開口方向が変位し、加圧風は前記鎖線
位置に沿い大気に向け放出され、しかしてこの
際、加圧風が吐出口Kを通過するとき、球形部S
の内周縁が外側に押圧され、外周縁が膨出部Vの
内周縁に密着されるため、膨出部Vと中空部材1
6とは一体的に結合された状態下におかれる一
方、加圧風の流動で、設定された当初の位置に保
持され、よつて加圧風は常時その吐出方向が一定
