この考案は、搬送コンベアベルトを装置内の冷

一般に紫外線照射装置は、第3図のごとく電源
部を除き、紫外線ランプ・反射鏡・シヤツター等
を内蔵する燈具1、紫外線を当てるワークを搬送
するコンベヤ2、紫外線を外部にもらさないため
の外部カバー3、及びランプ・装置内部を冷却す
るための冷却機4から構成されている。この冷却
機のうち、ランプの冷却に関しては、ほぼどの装
置においても空冷フアンが取り付けられ、熱対策
がとられている。一方、ワークの冷却方法として
は、ワークに直接風を当てるフアンによる空冷式
や、ワークの近くに冷却水を通す水冷式、またハ
ーフミラーやフイルターを用いることによつて赤
外線をカツトする光学的冷却方法があり、これら
が単独または組み合わされて用いられている。し
かしながら、これらの方法で十分冷却効果をもた
らすためには、空冷式では相当大きなフアンが必
要であり、水冷式においても配管、ポンプ、リサ
イクルする場合にはクーリングタワーと、いずれ
も本体以外に付属装置が必要で、装置全体が大き
くなる上、エネルギー消費も増える。更に光学的
冷却方法ではハーフミラー、フイルター等非常に
高価という欠点がある。

与えるものである。

されることになり、ベルト自身が装置内の冷却機
能の補助的役割を果たすことになる。

果たすことができるため、それらを縮小、割あい
することが可能となる。従つてベルトは多少長く
なるが、外部カバーの下を通すことにより本体の
大きさはほとんど変えずに済むため、結果的には
装置全体を小さくできるし、冷却に要したエネル
ギーの消費を削減できる利点もある。更に、ワー
クが単体でなく、フレキシブル基板のように連続
のものである場合には、この紫外線照射装置を用
いコンベア上にワークを通しベルトのスピードを
変化させれば、装置内の温度調整も可能となる。
