図である。第３図ａ，ｂは、従来のＥＬエツジエ
ミツタの構造例を示す図で、それぞれ光取り出し
部側から見た正面断面図及び光取り出し部をＸ側

Claims (1)
- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 基板上に、発光層及び発光層の両側に設けた第
１絶縁層、第２絶縁層を上部電極と下部電極で挾
持した薄模ＥＬ素子を形成し、前記薄模ＥＬ素子
を覆つて基板に固着されたカバーガラスを設け、
前記発光層の端面から基板と平行に光を取り出す
ＥＬエツジエミツタにおいて、 前記カバーガラスと基板の接着部が少なくとも
前記光取り出し部からの光路上を避けた構造であ
ることを特徴とするＥＬエツジエミツタ。
