Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase illuminance and to reduce an electricity generating load and to freely control color temperature by using a fluorescent lamp for a headlamp in a bicycle. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent lamp 1 with a base, which is a hot cathode fluorescent lamp, contains gaseous mercury and rare gas in addition to a filament serving as an electrode. In lighting the lamp 1, the filament is lighted without preheating, and a lighting circuit 7 and the lamp 1 are connected together. A reflection plate 4 reflecting light of the lamp 1 is arranged in the position surrounded by a case 6 made of resin/metal and a transparent cover 5, and in the case 6, a metal fitting 8 mounted to a bicycle is arranged and connected to the earth. A bicycle generator 9 is connected to one power source unit input end of the lighting circuit 7, while the other power source input end is connected to the mounting metal fitting. For lighting the lamp 1 by means of the generator, a conversion circuit to direct current is provided in the lighting circuit 7 as alternate current is supplied from the power source.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a bicycle headlamp, and in particular to a bicycle headlamp, which uses a small fluorescent lamp instead of an unused miniature light bulb to produce a high-brightness and beautiful headlamp. This invention relates to a bicycle headlamp suitable for emitting light.

In the above conventional technology, electricity generated by a bicycle generator is used to light a small light bulb at about 3 to 6 W, so the amount of electricity is not enough at normal speeds, so it is very dark, and the color temperature of the light bulb is 3000 degrees. The problem was that the appearance was poor due to the extremely dark color of the light source, and the color could not be controlled freely.

Fluorescent lamps are about 5 to 6 times more efficient than regular light bulbs, so they require 115 to 176 times more power to achieve the same brightness. Therefore, with the same power consumption, it can be sufficiently bright, and with lower power consumption, it is possible to reduce the load on one generator.

Fluorescent lamps act as a light source in the same way as traditional miniature light bulbs,
A circuit is required to turn it on. The lighting circuit is a high-frequency inverter circuit, and if you want to use electricity generated by a bicycle generator, you can just add a converter (AC to DC). In addition, dry batteries and rechargeable dry batteries can be directly connected to the inverter circuit.

FIG. 2 shows a configuration diagram of a bicycle headlamp. The fluorescent lamp 1 with a cap is a hot cathode fluorescent lamp, and contains mercury and a rare gas in addition to a filament as an electrode. There are two lighting methods: a method in which the filament is preheated before lighting, and a method in which the filament is lit without preheating at all.In this example, the latter method was used, and the lighting circuit (electronic circuit) 7 and lamp l are connected.
