There is a chain-link fence in place.

In this case, the wire mesh fence 10 prevents people from getting close to the steel tower, but if the target is only people, it is not a big problem because there are very few people who can climb up the steel tower without a wire mesh fence. Rather, this wire mesh fence 10 is installed to prevent small animals other than humans, especially snakes, from entering.

At this time, if the snake's body crosses the insulator with its tail wrapped around the steel tower and its head touches the wire, the current will short-circuit through the snake's body, tripping the circuit breaker and causing a power outage. .

。In order to prevent the small animals from entering the transmission line tower T, it has been common practice to surround the power line with a wire mesh fence 10 having a mesh that is large enough for these small animals to not be able to pass through, as shown in FIG. Although this method has been widely used, conventional chain-link fences may be effective against large intruders such as people and dogs, but they are only used as gas against small animals such as snakes. Applicant's recent observations have shown that this is largely ineffective.

る。[Summary of the Invention] In other words, the gist of the present invention is to eliminate the corners or edges formed by the supports and frames when installing a wire mesh fence, and to eliminate the connection of the wire mesh. This is done by using the ends of the wires that make up the wire mesh without relying on the frame, and the surplus terminal protrusions at that time are placed on the side where there is no intruder into the fence. By not forming a part that becomes a ridge or a protrusion, even if a small animal, especially a snake, tries to climb up, there is no part that can be used as a clue, and as a result, it becomes impossible for small animals, especially snakes, to get into the inside of the fence. be.

Although it is possible to select vinyl-coated iron wire or even wire made of non-metallic materials as appropriate, for items that will be used outdoors for many years, such as the above-mentioned fence for steel towers, wires such as those shown in Figure 7 (a) are suitable. From the viewpoint of corrosion resistance, weather resistance, and durability, it is appropriate to use an aluminum-coated steel wire 21 in which the outer periphery of the steel wire 22 is coated with aluminum or an aluminum alloy 23 by extrusion or the like.

。Conventionally, the wire mesh 2 of unit length manufactured as described above has a frame fitted around it to form a unit wire mesh, and when assembling this into a fence, the frames of the wire mesh are sequentially connected. By going in it was constructed as a fence. However, depending on the method of interconnecting such frames, the formation of corners or protrusions that serve as footholds for snakes, for example, cannot be eliminated, and the mesh spacing of the wire mesh 2 described above cannot be eliminated. Applicants' observations have revealed that even if the fence is so wide that a snake cannot pass through, the snake will use the corners or protrusions as footholds to climb up the fence itself and can easily enter the inside of the fence. be.

An extra protrusion is formed at the terminal. This protrusion naturally becomes a good foothold for intruders such as snakes. Therefore, in the present invention, the ends 21a, 21
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the terminal protrusion connected using the cylindrical part B is placed on the side opposite to the side A where there is an intruder such as a snake. By doing this, the risk of intruders using the protrusions or corners formed when connecting the wire mesh is eliminated, and small animals using these as footholds to climb up the fence and thereby enter the inside of the fence are eliminated. Intrusion is completely prevented.

The same can be said of small animals such as mice, which eventually find it difficult to climb because they lack corners or protrusions to use as cues for climbing, so they give up and move away.
