ことが一般的である。 For example, the rolled material for labels, which is wound up after the continuous printing operation and the cutting of the width direction end portion in the length direction by a slitter, is generally used as a label. Each sheet or multiple sheets are cut to a fixed length in the width direction. Here, the printed roll material to be cut to size in this way includes paper, plastic film, etc. printed with desired designs, characters, symbols, etc. at predetermined intervals, and other materials that have been widely used in recent years. BACKGROUND ART There is a composite material that is used for adhesive labels, tags, etc., and is made of adhesive paper with a desired print and a release paper pasted on the back side of the adhesive paper. In addition, in order to make such a composite material into the wound material referred to here, a so-called half-cutting operation is performed on the composite material after printing is completed.
It is common practice to cut and remove unnecessary portions of adhesive paper from the surface of the release paper in advance so that only individual labels and tags remain on the surface of the release paper.

The transmitted light is unwound by a drive device (not shown) and supplied to the pinch roll 3, and then passed through a strip material having printed parts spaced at a predetermined interval by a photoelectric photometer 4 including a light projecting part 4a and a light receiving part 4b. and is generally generated by the photoelectric photometry means 4 based on the detection of a predetermined amount of transmitted light.
Alternatively, by stopping the pinch roll 3 and operating the cutter 5 by a plurality of pulses, the sheet material 6 is cut into a predetermined length.

する感度調整目盛を示す。 Here, the unwinding of the rolled material 1 is performed by preventing slippage between the strip material and the pinch rolls 3 due to tension acting on the clamp portion of the strip material by the pinch rolls 3. In order to enable unwinding at a speed equivalent to the circumferential speed of the pinch roll, the winding is performed so that the required amount of slack 7 is always generated on the front side of the pinch roll 3, and the unwinding speed is determined so that the amount of slack 7 is within the required range. It is controlled by mechanical, optical or electrical means, optical means 8 in the illustrated example, which detects whether or not it is within the range and gives a command to a drive means (not shown). Further, the photoelectric photometry means 4 detects, for example, the boundary between printed parts of the unwound strip material, where the amount of light transmitted is the highest, and generates a pulse, and the number of pulses, in other words, the number of labels, for example. When the number of sheets reaches the optimum number for labeling by a machine or other means, the cutter 5 is operated to perform cutting to a fixed size. In the figure, reference numeral 9 indicates a sensitivity adjustment scale for adjusting the sensitivity of the photoelectric photometer 4 with respect to the amount of transmitted light that varies depending on the thickness, color, material, etc. of the strip material.

If the selection is not appropriate, pulses will be generated not only at the boundary between the printed sections but also at the portion of the printed section where a relatively large amount of light is transmitted. Alternatively, pulses are not generated even at the boundary of the printing section, and as a result, there is a problem that it is not possible to perform the required size cutting, but it is necessary to always make the sensitivity appropriate for any material. Since this is extremely difficult, in most cases the sensitivity is adjusted by making so-called miscuts as test cuts, which inevitably reduces the material yield.

However, there was a problem in that it had to be done by skilled workers.

The present invention provides a device for detecting passage of a band-shaped material at a predetermined location, and when this device is applied to the above-mentioned sizing cutting device,
It becomes possible to perform appropriate sizing cutting from the beginning without performing test cutting.

ことができる。 In such a configuration, for example, when cutting the half-cut rolled material made of the above-mentioned composite material to a fixed size, only a release paper as a reference material is set in the photoelectric photometry means 12, and from there the comparator 1
A constant light transmission amount signal is input to 1. Here, when the cutting device is operated in the same manner as described above, the amount of light transmitted to the strip material passing through the photoelectric photometry means 4 is as shown in FIG. In the remaining portion, the amount of transmitted light is smaller than the amount of transmitted light detected by the photoelectric photometer 12, so the comparator 11 does not generate a pulse.
In the part where the glued paper 1b is removed from the release paper 1a by half-cutting, the amount of light transmitted there is equal to the amount of light detected by the photoelectric photometer 12, so the comparator 11 outputs a pulse. Occur. Therefore, these pulses are extremely reliable, and if the cutter 5 of the sizing cutting device is operated every required number of pulses, the sheet material 6 of the predetermined size can be cut from the beginning without any miscuts. Can be cut.

Since the amount of light transmitted through the release paper 1a changes depending on the thickness, type, cutting speed, etc. of the release paper 1a, it is necessary to adjust the sensitivity adjustment scale (not shown) for proper operation of the device. In such a case, by adjusting the sensitivities of both photometric means 4 and 12 in common, it is possible to perform the same fixed-size cutting as described above.

Even when the winding material is printed paper, plastic film, etc., the same method as described above can be easily performed by detecting the amount of light transmitted through the unprinted portion of the same material using the photoelectric photometer 12. It is possible to perform reliable cutting to size. Also, comparator 1
It is also possible to generate the pulse from 1 only when the amount of transmitted light detected by the photoelectric photometer 12 is larger or smaller than that detected by the photoelectric photometer 4.
