As in Publication No. 21, it is supported by a suspension cross member via a vibration isolator, and this suspension cross member is extended in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body on both sides of the engine compartment by inserting mounting bolts into round holes provided at both ends. It was attached to the front frame.

The lower edge of the windshield is located close to the power plant.

Since the front frame has been reinforced and its rigidity has increased, the amount of collapse of the front frame due to a frontal collision is reduced, reducing its ability to absorb impact loads. The rear part of the car body was lifted up, and the car body was bent into an inverted mountain shape at the cowl point.
As the lower end of the windshield moves forward and downward as shown by the imaginary line in FIG. 6, the power plant is also pushed and moves backward and upward as shown by the imaginary line. There were problems such as contact with the lower end of the windshield, causing the windshield to become unbonded and impairing its holding performance.

提供することを目的とするものである。(Objective of the Invention) This invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems and increases the amount of impact load absorbed by the front frame (the amount of collapse of the front frame) during a collision, thereby suppressing the impact on other parts. Another object of the present invention is to provide a power plant support structure for an automobile that avoids contact between the cowl point and the power plant in the event of a collision and does not impair windshield retention performance.

The suspension cross member is connected to the front frame, and the connection is configured to be released by a load exceeding a predetermined value. to guide downward,
This is a support structure for a power plant for an automobile, in which a guide portion is formed that slopes downward toward the rear.

きるものである。In the case of a head-on collision with the above configuration, if the impact load exceeds a predetermined value, the suspension cross member will be disconnected from the front frame, and the front frame in that area will be reduced to its own rigidity, causing it to collapse. This increases the ability of the front frame to absorb the impact load caused by a collision, making it possible to prevent the impact from impacting other parts.Furthermore, the power plant, which retreats due to a collision, descends along the guide section provided in the front frame. , it is possible to avoid contact between the power plant and the lower end of the windshield, thereby preventing damage to the windshield holding performance.

The suspension cross member (2) also tries to move rearward due to the force trying to move it rearward, and the protrusion (9) in the elongated part (8) hits the mounting bolt (6).
The mounting bolts (6) are removed from the elongated holes (8) while remaining in the front frame (5), and the suspension cross member (2) moves rearward together with the power plant (1).

In this way, it is possible to avoid contacting the lower end of the windshield by moving backward and upward as in the conventional case.

This makes it easier to crush and crush as shown in section A in Figure 2, absorbing most of the impact load caused by the collision and preventing it from spreading to other parts of the vehicle body.

ことができるものである。(Effects of the Invention) According to the power plant support structure for an automobile according to the present invention described above, the suspension cross member that supports the power plant is released from the front frame when a force exceeding a certain level is applied thereto. Because of this, if the front frame receives an impact load above a certain level during a frontal collision, the connections will be released and the front frame will be more likely to collapse, absorbing most of the impact load from the collision and reducing damage caused by the collision to other parts. At the same time, the power plant, which is pushed rearward due to a collision, is moved to the rear inclined lower surface by a guide part provided on the front frame, and the power plant is prevented from coming into contact with the lower edge of the windshield, and the front It is possible to ensure glass retention performance.
