The present invention relates to a method for preventing corrosion, and more particularly to a method for preventing corrosion of metal materials in a cooling water system. In general, in the cooling water systems of oil refinery plants, chemical industry plants, air conditioning plants, etc., corrosion and scale are formed on the surfaces of metal pipes and waterway walls, leading to a high rate of decline and a situation that can lead to blockage accidents. be. For this reason, great care is always taken to prevent corrosion and scale formation. Conventionally, various corrosion prevention methods have been applied to prevent corrosion of metal materials such as iron, copper, aluminum, and zinc in cooling water systems. Among these anti-corrosion methods, there is a method of suppressing corrosion by forming an adsorption-type anti-corrosive film using an acrylic acid polymer as an anti-corrosive agent on the surface of a metal material in a cooling water system. This anticorrosion effect is due to the polar groups of the acrylic acid polymer adsorbing the polymer to the surface of the metal material, and the hydrophobic groups inhibiting the diffusion of water, dissolved oxygen, etc. to the surface of the metal material. It is brought about by. However, in corrosion prevention methods that use acrylic acid polymers as corrosion inhibitors, salt ions (e.g. calcium ions, magnesium ions, ) is adsorbed by the carboxyl ions of different polymers to form salts, resulting in cross-linking and gelation of the polymers, and the anticorrosion effect is significantly reduced because the anticorrosion agent is wasted in the aqueous system. There was a problem. Furthermore, even if the gelation phenomenon described above is not observed, the anticorrosion coating itself is an adsorption type with weak bonding strength, so there is a problem that sufficient corrosion inhibition cannot be achieved under conditions such as high temperature and high salt concentration. It was hot too. The purpose of the present invention is to solve the above problems,
In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a corrosion prevention method that exhibits an excellent corrosion inhibiting function in a cooling water system. As a result of extensive research to solve the above-mentioned problems, the inventors of the present invention have developed a water-soluble polymer compound that easily gels under specific water quality conditions in a cooling water system (target water system) and a water-soluble polymer compound that is difficult to gel. It was discovered that when a polymer compound is used in combination, the former compound gels and forms an anti-corrosion film, and the latter compound coexists in a dissolved state, making it possible to significantly improve corrosion prevention methods. We have completed the corrosion prevention method of the present invention. That is, the corrosion prevention method of the present invention has a pH of 6.5 or higher,
and calcium hardness is 50 to 1000 mg/(CaCO 3
The cooling water system (converted) is made of at least one member selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid polymer, itaconic acid polymer, acrylic acid-maleic anhydride copolymer, and salts thereof, and is easily gelled under the above water quality conditions. It is characterized by adding a water-soluble polymer compound and a water-soluble polymer compound that is difficult to gel under the above-mentioned water quality conditions as an anticorrosive agent. The water-soluble polymer compound used in the present invention that easily gels has a pH of 6.5 or higher and a calcium hardness of 50.
Polymer compounds that gel when added in a predetermined amount to cooling water at ~1000 mg/(CaCO 3 equivalent), i.e., acrylic acid polymer, itaconic acid polymer, acrylic acid-maleic anhydride copolymer, and It is a polymeric compound consisting of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of salts thereof. Among these water-soluble polymer compounds, preferably those with a molecular weight of 5000
~200000 acrylic acid polymer or its salt; molecular weight
Itaconic acid polymers or salts thereof having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 10,000; and acrylic acid-maleic anhydride copolymers or salts thereof having a molecular weight of 1,000 to 10,000 can be mentioned. Specific examples of these salts include one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of sodium salts, potassium salts, lithium salts, ammonium salts, triethanolamine salts, alkylamine salts, and the like. As the anticorrosive agent used in the present invention, a water-soluble polymer compound that does not gel under the same water quality conditions as the cooling water system to which the above-mentioned water-soluble polymer compound that easily gels is added is used. This compound is
For example, selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid, and water-soluble salts thereof, such as sodium salts, potassium salts, lithium salts, ammonium salts, and organic amine salts such as triethanolamine salts and alkylamine salts. One or more compounds (hereinafter referred to as "structural unit"A); and allylsulfonic acid, itaconic acid, fumaric acid, vinylsulfonic acid, styrylsulfonic acid, and water-soluble salts thereof (including water-soluble salts such as the aforementioned acrylic acid) similar substances), acrylamide, methacrylamide, acrylic ester, methacrylic ester, acrylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester,
One or more compounds selected from the group consisting of methacrylic acid hydroxyalkyl ester, allyl ether, n-butylene, isobutylene, amylene, vinyl acetate, styrene, ethylene, ethylene oxide, acrylonitrile, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "structural unit B")
); by adding it to water in the desired molar ratio, adding a polymerization initiator such as peroxide, and heating.
A copolymer consisting of structural units in corresponding molar ratios can be obtained. Such a copolymer has a molecular weight of 500
It is preferable that it is 200,000. When acrylic acid or methacrylic acid or a salt thereof is used as the structural unit A, the structural unit B is allyl sulfonic acid and its water-soluble salt, allyl ether, and methacrylic acid 2.
It is preferable to use one or more compounds selected from -hydroxyethyl. In this case, when allylsulfonic acid or a water-soluble salt thereof is used as the structural unit B, the copolymer preferably has a molecular weight of 500 to 50,000, particularly preferably 500 to 10,000, considering its effects. More preferred. Similarly, the proportion of structural unit B in the entire copolymer is preferably 0.1 to 3 mol%,
It is more preferably 0.1 mol% or more and less than 1.0 mol%. Moreover, when allyl ether is used as the structural unit B, it is particularly preferable that the copolymer has a molecular weight of 500 to 50,000 in consideration of its effects. Similarly, the proportion of structural unit B in the entire copolymer is preferably 0.5 to 80 mol%. Examples of the allyl ether used include polyethylene glycol monoallyl ether, 3-allylxypropane 1,2-diol, etc., and polyethylene glycol monoallyl ether is particularly preferred. Furthermore, when 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate is used as the structural unit B, the copolymer has a molecular weight of 500 to 500, considering its effect.
It is particularly preferable that the molecular weight is 20,000, and the molecular weight is 1,000 to 1,000.
More preferably, it is 10,000. Similarly, the proportion of structural unit B in the entire copolymer is 0.1 to 99
Preferably it is mol%. When maleic acid or a water-soluble salt thereof is used as the structural unit A, it is preferable to use isobutylene or amylene as the structural unit B. In this case, when isobutylene is used as the structural unit B, the copolymer preferably has a molecular weight of 3,000 to 30,000 in consideration of its effects. Similarly, the proportion of structural unit B in the entire copolymer is preferably 10 to 90 mol%. In addition, when amylene is used as the structural unit B, the copolymer has the following effects:
Particularly preferred is a molecular weight of 500 to 50,000. Similarly, the proportion of structural unit B in the entire copolymer is not particularly limited as long as it is water-soluble, but it is preferably 50 mol%. Further, as a water-soluble polymer compound that is difficult to gel, a polymer of acrylic acid or maleic acid can also be applied to the method of the present invention. Furthermore, in addition to the anticorrosive agent used in the present invention, other anticorrosive agents can be used in combination. Other anticorrosive agents include nitrous acid, phosphoric acid, phosphonic acid, polyvalent metals, carboxylic acids, or salts thereof. Examples of the polyvalent metal include chromic acid, zinc chloride, zinc sulfate, aluminate, aluminum nitrate, aluminum chloride, nickel chloride, nickel sulfate, molybdic acid, cobalt chloride, cobalt nitrate, and the like. Examples of carboxylic acids include α-glucoheptonic acid, malic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, gluconic acid,
Examples include oxalic acid, succinic acid, maleic acid, and fumaric acid. Examples of these salts include those similar to the aforementioned water-soluble salts such as acrylic acid. The corrosion prevention method of the present invention is carried out by directly adding the water-soluble polymer compound and anticorrosion agent to the cooling water system continuously or intermittently, as in conventional corrosion prevention methods. The corrosion prevention method of the present invention can be applied to all types of water such as pure water, soft water, tap water, and industrial water, and the amount of the chemical added is as follows:
This is determined depending on the calcium hardness of the cooling water system, but normally, at the time of basic injection, the amount of water-soluble polymer compound is 5 to 1000 mg, and the amount of anticorrosive is 1 to 1000 mg.
The former is 1 to 100 mg/during retention injection.
The latter is 0.5 to 500 mg/. The PH range of the cooling water system in the corrosion prevention method of the present invention is 6.5 or more, and if this PH range is less than 6.5, the effect deteriorates, which is not preferable. Further, the calcium hardness in the cooling water system is 50 to 1000 mg/(in terms of CaCO 3 ), and if the calcium hardness is less than 50 mg/, gelation of the water-soluble polymer compound will be insufficient. On the other hand, 1000
mg/, the anticorrosive effect is not improved much,
Rather, it becomes uneconomical. If the cooling water system meets these water quality conditions (PH and calcium hardness), the water-soluble polymer compound can be added as is. On the other hand, if the cooling water system does not meet these water quality conditions, add a PH regulator, calcium compound, etc. so that the water quality falls within these ranges, and then add a water-soluble polymer compound. In addition, at the initial stage of operation of a low-concentration cooling water system or equipment, even if the calcium hardness is higher than the lower limit of the above range, it is necessary to add aluminum salts, magnesium salts, etc. from outside within a range that does not exceed the upper limit. Gelation may be promoted. Specific examples of cooling water systems to which the corrosion prevention method of the present invention is applied include open circulation cooling water systems, closed circulation cooling water systems, and one-time cooling water systems. EXAMPLES Below, examples of the present invention will be given and explained in more detail. Example A corrosion protection test was conducted using four heat exchanger series (Material: STB-35, 14.6φ x 2750mm) installed in an open circulation cooling water system. The water temperature at the inlet of the heat exchanger is 30℃ and that at the outlet is 50℃.
The temperature was controlled so that The flow velocity was 0.5 m/sec. As the water circulating through the heat exchanger, water equivalent to 3 times concentrated Yokohama city water having the water quality shown in Table 1 was used.
To this water, 20 mg of acrylic acid-allyl ether copolymer (mole ratio 92.5:7.5, molecular weight: 5000) was added, and sodium polyacrylate (molecular weight: 30000) was added to the first series of water. Sodium polyitaconate (molecular weight: 5700) was added to the second series of water, and sodium acrylate-sodium maleate anhydride copolymer (molecular weight: 5000) was added to the third series of water, each at 10 mg/ml.
were added one by one. After the addition, the heat exchange outlet water of the 1st to 3rd series was collected and found to be cloudy, while the outlet water of the 4th series was not cloudy at all. After one month, the water flow was stopped, and the amount of corrosion and pitting depth of the tube were measured. The results are shown in Table 2. In the second series, when the amount of sodium polyitaconate added was reduced to 2 mg/day, the cloudiness disappeared, and the results after one month were also the same as those in 4 above.
The results were similar to those of the series.
