Abstract

PURPOSE:To widen the visibility of a worker as well as to contrive an improvement in workability by pivotally mounting a face cover onto a helmet, covering the face cover with colored but transparent glare protection lenses at its front and side surfaces, mounting a welding plate in such a way as to be freely opened and/or closed, and thereby connecting an electric fan in order to supply positive pressure inside. CONSTITUTION:During operations under dust environment, for example, TIG welding operations, when a worker puts a helmet 1 on his head with its face cover 2 lowered, with its welding plate 16 closed and with an electric fan 7 driven, compressed air is blown off between the face cover 2 and his face out of the blow-out port 11 of a pipe section 2a via an air hose 5 so that the space can be maintained at normal pressure. The worker therefore will never breath dust at all, he can thereby keep up the work while making sure of section to be welded through the welding plate 16. And when it is required to make sure of the finish of welding with welding works suspended, the finish can be confirmed through a glare protection lens 13 with a window frame 13b opened upward. Since a part of the colored but transparent glare protection lens 13 is exposed on each of the both sides of the face cover 2, the visibility of the worker is widened, workability is thereby improved.

(Prior Art) Dust-proof respiratory protection equipment has been developed to protect workers from harm caused by dust when working in a dusty atmosphere. This dust-proof respiratory protection equipment has a facepiece that is rotatably attached to a helmet, and uses an electric fan to supply positive pressure to the space between the facepiece and the worker's face, preventing dust from entering the space. This prevents workers from inhaling dust.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) However, in conventional dust-proof respirators in which the facepiece is covered with a welding plate, the outside can only be seen through the welding plate. The field of view is narrow, creating a strong sense of pressure on the worker, and in order to directly check the working status with the naked eye, the entire facepiece must be rotated upwards, which may cause a change in the center of gravity of the dust-proof respiratory protector. There was a problem that the workability was significantly hindered.

(Function) Since the worker can look around through the light-shielding lenses covered on the sides of the face piece, work efficiency is improved and the feeling of pressure is eliminated. In addition, when checking the work status, all you have to do is open the welding plate of the welding plate halter, which is partially attached to the light-shielding lens, so the center of gravity of the dust-proof respiratory protector will hardly change. This also improves workability.

Therefore, when performing TIG welding work in a dusty atmosphere, for example, the worker must wear the dust-proof respiratory protector, that is, put the helmet l over the head and wear the facepiece 2, which is not shown in Figure 3. If you hold the main body 2b vertically, close the welding plate 1-16, carry the electric fan 7 on your waist, etc., and rotate the electric fan 7, the compressed air will flow through the air hose. 5 to the pipe part 2a of the face piece 2, and the air is emitted from the air outlet 11 opened at the bottom of the pipe part 2a into the space between the face piece 2 and the worker's face, and the space is filled with positive pressure. kept in condition. At this time, the sealing material 12.12 attached to both sides of the main body 2b of the facepiece 2 tightly seals the side surfaces of the worker's face, so air does not leak from both sides of the facepiece 2 and is released into the atmosphere from below. is discharged inside.

As described above, as the space between the facepiece 2 and the worker's face is maintained in a positive pressure state, dust is effectively prevented from entering the space, so the worker can breathe as usual. However, you will not inhale the dust.

During the welding operation, the welding part can be visually checked through the closed welding plate 16 before proceeding with the welding operation.
When interrupting welding work to check the finished condition of the welded part, open the window frame 14b to one side by holding the handle 14c as shown in FIG. Ru.

Also, since a portion of the colored transparent light-shielding lenses 13 are exposed on both sides of the face piece 2, the worker can look around the surroundings through the exposed light-shielding lenses 13, thereby widening the worker's field of view. This not only further improves work efficiency, but also eliminates the feeling of pressure on the operator. Furthermore, since harmful light rays can be blocked by the light-shielding lens 13, the eyes of the worker are effectively protected.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, a facepiece is pivotably attached to a helmet, the front and side surfaces of the facepiece are covered with colored transparent light-shielding lenses, and the light-shielding lens A welding plate holder consisting of a welding plate that can be opened and closed freely is attached to the front of the welding plate, and an electric fan that supplies positive pressure is connected to the inside of the same plane to form a dust-proof respiratory protector. The operator's field of view is widened, which relieves the feeling of pressure and also improves work propensity.
