。An embodiment of the present invention will be described above with reference to the drawings. 1st
In the figure, la is a driver, and 2 is a transmitting terminal 1, which will be described later.
1 is a power supply for operating the power supply 2, 3 is a resistor that converts the current change of the power supply 2 into a voltage change, 4 is a transmission line short circuit detection circuit that detects a short circuit in the transmission line by the voltage change of the resistor 3, and 5 is a transmission line short circuit detection circuit. 11 is a relay that cuts off the transmission line with a driver protection signal output from 4; 11 is a relay for these drivers la; Transmission line short circuit detection circuit 4. A transmitting terminal includes a relay 5, 6 is a receiver, 12 is a receiving terminal including the receiver 6, and 7a and 7b are transmission paths connecting the transmitting terminal 11 and the receiving terminal 12. Next, the operation of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 will be explained. If no short-circuit failure occurs in the transmission lines 7a and 7b, the relay 5 is in the on state, and the transmitting terminal 11 and the receiving terminal 1
Transmission is performed normally between the two periods. Next, when a short circuit fault occurs between the transmission lines 7a and Vb, a short circuit current flows through the driver la and the power supply current increases by e. This rapidly increased power supply current is converted into a voltage by a resistor 3 and guided to a transmission path short circuit detection circuit 4, which outputs a driver protection signal. The driver la is protected from destruction by turning off the relay 5 with this driver protection signal and canceling the short-circuit electrical diagram of the driver la. In the above embodiment, a short circuit in the transmission path is detected by a sudden increase in the power supply current, but voltage detection may be performed using the drooping characteristic of the power supply 2 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. Further, in the above embodiment, the protection of the driver Ia is provided by the relay 5.
However, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, it may also be realized by controlling the driver lb with an output enable terminal. To summarize each of the above embodiments, Fig. 1 is an example of a current detection relay control type signal transmission circuit, Fig. 2 is an example of a voltage detection relay control type signal transmission circuit, and Fig. 3 is a current detection enable terminal control type signal transmission circuit. FIG. 4 shows an example of a voltage detection enable terminal controlled signal transmission circuit.
