Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a drum shaped amount of a work during second cut by a method wherein cutting is effected on the reverse side to the desired side between first cut and second cut. CONSTITUTION:First cut 21 is effected by means of a wire 21a, and after that, intermediate cut 23 is effected by means of a wire 23a in a position close to the die side 12 being the reverse side to the punch side 11. The intermediate 23 is performed with the object of a fact that a distance between a wire 22a and a work is increased so that discharge of chips during is improved when second cut 22 is performed. Thereby, since, only in the region of a portion being the intermediate cut 23, a distance between the wire 22a and the die side 12 is increased, a region where machining flows is increased, and discharge of chips by means of machining liquid is smoothly performed. This constitution enables sharp reduction of a drum shaped amount of a work compared with that by a conventional method.
