A scrap preheating device is known. However, in such scrap preheating equipment, if the metal scrap to be preheated is contaminated with oil or synthetic resin, the foreign matter will be incompletely combusted and a foul odor or white smoke will be generated during preheating, which will then be released into the atmosphere. It was believed that pollution would become a problem if released into the world.

A large number of small flame holes are opened at regular intervals in the flue, and a baffle plate with radial ventilation holes formed in accordance with the overall shape of the burner pipe is provided at a position upstream of the burner pipe in the flue to pass through the flue. This is characterized in that the exhaust gas is guided around the burner tube.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a cylindrical flue through which exhaust gas flows in the direction of the arrow, and a heat storage material (caster) 2 is uniformly stretched around the inner peripheral surface of the flue. 3 is a radial (cross-shaped in this case) burner tube arranged on the cross section of the flue, and the entire burner tube has small flame holes 4, 4, 4... at regular intervals on the side wall. Many have been established. 5, 5, 5... are baffle plates made of a plurality of pieces provided slightly upstream of the burner pipe 3 so as to protrude from the inner wall of the flue 1, and the baffle plates are shaped according to the overall shape of the burner pipe 3. A cross-shaped ventilation hole 6 is formed in accordance with the above.

The passage is restricted by 5... and guided into the space surrounding the burner tube 3. The burner tube 3 blows flame around it from the flame holes 4, 4, 4, . . . and entrains the exhaust gas led into the surrounding space, so that the malodorous components of the exhaust gas are incinerated and released into the atmosphere.
Although this example used a cross-shaped burner tube,
The burner tube is not limited to this shape, but may have other shapes that extend over the cross-section of the flue.

がない。[Effect of the invention] The burner tube is arranged in an expanded shape on the cross section of the flue so that the exhaust gas comes into contact with and gets caught up in the small flames blown out from the burner tube, so the combustion amount of the burner tube is low. It can also deodorize large amounts of exhaust gas. In other words, the exhaust gas passing through the flue can be uniformly brought into contact with the erupting flame, which has the advantage of requiring less combustion in the burner tube, and the running cost is also low, making it very useful in practice due to its simple structure. It is. Note that the exhaust gas expands significantly after the burner tube due to contact with the erupting flame, but in this invention, a baffle plate is provided at the upstream position of the burner tube where the exhaust gas has not yet expanded, so this is used to guide the exhaust gas. Even if a baffle plate is provided, there is no risk of impairing the ventilation of the flue and adversely affecting exhaust gas.
