2. Description of the Related Art In general, a grooved traverse drum (hereinafter simply referred to as a drum) suffers from frequent repeated friction with the winding yarn over a period of use.
It is well known that wear increases over time, particularly at groove intersections and reversal positions, and this is one of the causes of yarn breakage and deterioration of yarn quality.

Therefore, in order to prevent such wear, a method has been proposed in which a wear-resistant member is inserted and fixed at the intersection of the thread guiding grooves, which is particularly worn. As a method of inserting and fixing such a wear-resistant member, for example, as seen in U.S. Pat. A method of inserting and fixing a sexual member (hereinafter referred to as the first method for convenience of explanation),
As seen in Japanese Patent Application No. 32-11761, a method of inserting and fixing a cylindrical wear-resistant member into the interrupted thread guide groove at the intersection of the thread guide grooves from the drum surface perpendicular to the drum axis (for convenience of explanation below) , the second method),
Further, as seen in British Patent No. 879026, there is a method of obliquely implanting a wear-resistant member across the thread guide groove immediately before the interrupted thread guide groove at the intersection of the thread guide grooves (hereinafter referred to as For convenience of explanation, we will refer to this as the third method)
etc. can be mentioned.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention The first method of inserting and fixing a semicircular plate-shaped wear-resistant member into the bottom of the interrupted thread-guiding groove at the intersection is to It is not easy to form and process, and is prone to breakage during processing, and has the drawback that the wear-resistant member can only form shallow recesses.

Furthermore, since the wear-resistant member used in the first method has a thin plate shape, the groove bottom of the wear-resistant member is short, and there is a drawback that wear scratches occur at the boundary with the drum component.

Furthermore, in the first method, when machining an insertion hole with a rectangular cross section into which a wear-resistant member is inserted and fixed into a drum member, the drum member that is integrated with the wear-resistant member to form a thread guide groove is processed. The boundary portion with respect to the wear-resistant member is a thin portion, and therefore, it is extremely difficult to avoid chipping or deformation of the thin portion when machining the insertion recess.

Therefore, when a wear-resistant member is inserted into the insertion hole, a gap is created at the boundary between the wear-resistant member and the drum component, and adhesive is filled into the gap to fill this gap. . However, if such a method of fixing wear-resistant parts is adopted, the adhesive with poor wear resistance will wear out earlier than other parts during use, resulting in sharp edges at the boundaries of the drum components. These edges are exposed in the yarn guiding groove, and this causes disadvantages such as a decrease in yarn quality due to abrasion on the yarn surface and a decrease in the production efficiency of the winding machine due to yarn breakage.

In addition, the second method of inserting and fixing the wear-resistant member at the intersection perpendicularly to the drum surface is to insert and fix the wear-resistant member at the intersection between the drum member and the drum member at the boundary between the wear-resistant member on the drum surface and the drum member. , so a step is gradually formed at the boundary,
This stepped portion causes traverse failure in the yarn, or damages the yarn, resulting in a decrease in yarn quality. In addition, the cut yarn frequently winds around the drum, reducing the production efficiency of the winding machine. It was accompanied by the disadvantages of In addition, in the second method described above, there is a risk that the wear-resistant member will fly out due to eccentric force during rotation, so great care must be taken in processing to prevent this, resulting in high drum production costs. Some shortcomings were also recognized.

Furthermore, a third method is to implant the wear-resistant member across the yarn guiding groove immediately before the intersection and at an angle from the drum surface. Because the drum runs along the boundary of the drum, only the drum components wear out quickly, causing damage to the thread guiding groove, which leads to disadvantages such as poor thread quality and reduced production efficiency of the thread winding machine due to thread breakage. I was pushing him.

Means for solving the problem The present invention has a spiral thread guide groove on the circumferential surface, and a wear-resistant member is inserted and fixed at the end of the shallow groove where the thread guide groove intersects with a deep groove and is interrupted. In the grooved traversing drum of a thread winding machine, an oblong oval insertion recess is inserted between the end of the shallow groove that is interrupted by the deep groove and the upper part of the side wall of the deep groove. The wear-resistant member is inserted into the horizontally oblong elliptical insertion recess, which is inclined with respect to two substantially perpendicular surfaces formed by the side wall surface and the bottom surface of the shallow groove, and is formed along the direction of the shallow groove. It is formed into a horizontally oblong cylindrical shape that conforms to the above, and one end surface thereof is a concave portion with a substantially V-shaped cross section that conforms to the bottom surface and both side wall surfaces of the end portion of the shallow groove, and the end surface that conforms to the side walls of the deep groove. The wear-resistant member is inserted and fixed into the oblong elliptical insertion recess, and the terminal portion of the shallow groove intersecting and interrupted by the deep groove is made of the wear-resistant member. A grooved traversing drum for a thread winding machine is provided.

The other end surface 1b of the wear-resistant member 1 forms part of the side wall 6a or 6b of the deeper groove 6 at the intersection of the yarn guiding grooves 5, 5' and 6 of the drum 3. Its shape must be such that it is flush with the side wall 6a or 6b of the deeper groove 6 when the wear-resistant member 1 is inserted and fixed into the insertion hole 4 of the drum 3.

The concave portion 2 formed in the wear-resistant member 1 is located at the cutting position of the shallower thread guiding groove 5 or 5' which is located on the end face 1b side and is cut to intersect with the deeper groove 6. The groove bottom 7 or 8 of the groove 5 or 5' in the part close to the groove and both side walls 9, 9 or 10, 10 of the groove

Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the insertion holes 4 for inserting and fixing the wear-resistant member 1 into the drum 3 are provided at the groove bottoms 7 or 8 of the respective grooves 5 or 5'. It is formed diagonally with an inclination angle of approximately 30° to 60°. If the above-mentioned angle is made smaller than 30 degrees when drilling the insertion hole 4 of the wear-resistant member 1, a drum structure between the groove bottom 7 or 8 of the shallower thread guiding groove 5 or 5' and the insertion hole 4 will be formed. The wall thickness of the member becomes thinner and there is a risk of deformation, and if the angle is more than 60 degrees, the wall thickness of the drum component between the side wall 6a or 6b of the deeper thread guiding groove 6 and the insertion recess 4 will be reduced. The thickness becomes thinner and there is a risk of deformation. In this sense, the insertion recess 4 for inserting and fixing the wear-resistant member 1 has an inclination angle of 30° to 60° with respect to the groove bottom 7 or 8 of the shallower thread guiding groove 5 or 5'. It is necessary to install it diagonally.

Incidentally, it is thought that it is best to form the insertion hole 4 along the direction in which the groove bottom 7 or 8 of the groove 5 or 5' is formed as much as possible, but due to processing constraints, Alternatively, if the thickness of the drum component around the insertion hole 4 becomes thin,
It is also possible to slightly change the above formation direction.

The depth h of the recessed part 2 formed in the wear-resistant member 1 depends on the depth of the groove 5 or 5' in the part into which it is inserted, but according to experiments, the depth h of the recessed part 2 It has been found that even a shallow depth of about 0.5 mm can produce a satisfactory effect at depth.

In order to reduce the material cost of the wear-resistant member 1, it is better to make the wear-resistant member 1 as small as possible, but on the other hand, it is desirable to reduce the wear caused by the threads to the drum constituent members. In order to do this, it must be made somewhat large. Therefore, its size, size, and shape must be selected within an appropriate range in consideration of the operating conditions of the thread winding machine, such as the traverse width and the winding speed of the thread. In this case, the shape is more elliptical than circular, as shown in FIG. 5, and when the groove width is widened, both side walls can be made of wear-resistant material over a wide range up to the upper part.

Further, the wear-resistant member 1 is inserted and fixed obliquely into the insertion hole 4 from the position closest to the surface of the drum 3, so that the shallower part cut by the deeper thread guiding groove 6 The groove bottom and both side walls of the most severe portion between the yarn guiding grooves 5 and 5' can be formed by the recessed portion 2 substantially made of the wear-resistant member 1. In particular, since not only the bottom of the groove but also both side walls are made of the wear-resistant member 1 up to the surface of the drum 3, the yarn does not deviate from the recessed part 2 and can be smoothly guided. Therefore, no wear scratches occur on the drum constituent members in this area.

In addition, unless the boundary position A shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 appears on the drum surface, the boundary between the drum component and the wear-resistant member 1 will be located on the side wall surface 6a or 6b of the deep yarn guiding groove 6. Therefore, there is no difference in level due to wear, and therefore, problems such as poor yarn traversal, deterioration in yarn quality, and decrease in production efficiency of the thread winding machine due to yarn breakage do not occur.

Moreover, the wear-resistant member 1 is attached to the drum surface.
Since it is inserted and fixed obliquely, the risk of the wear-resistant member flying out onto the drum surface due to centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the drum 3 during use is eliminated.
Furthermore, according to the present invention, the wear-resistant member can be inserted and fixed to the drum by simple processing, and therefore it is possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of the traversing drum.

Furthermore, the length of the groove bottom provided by the recess 2 of the wear-resistant member 1 (see FIG. By inserting and fixing into the drum, the length is longer than when inserting and fixing straight from the drum surface toward the center of the drum, so the boundary position B should be kept as far away as possible from the position where the wear is most severe. Therefore, there is no risk of abrasion scratches occurring at the position B, and no steps are formed that would degrade the quality of the yarn.

Furthermore, since the thickness of the drum component that forms the periphery of the insertion hole 4 formed in the drum 3 does not become thinner, there is no deformation of the drum or the thread guide groove, and furthermore, the drum or the thread guiding groove does not become deformed. 4 and the wear-resistant member 1, there is no need to fill the gap with a filler, and the early wear of the drum member at the boundary between the drum member and the wear-resistant member 1 is avoided. Therefore, problems such as a decrease in yarn quality and a decrease in the production efficiency of the winding machine due to yarn breakage can be avoided.

Effects of the invention As explained above, in the present invention, the wear-resistant member is shaped like an elliptical cylinder, so even if the width of the thread guiding groove becomes wider, the wear-resistant member can be inserted over a wider range than with a circular column. In addition, the machining of the insertion hole provided on the drum side can be made less obstructed by the opposite side wall. In addition, when forming a recessed part, an elliptical column-shaped wear-resistant member can form a deeper recessed part than a plate-shaped one, and the area forming the side wall surface of the shallower thread guiding groove can be reduced. Can be made larger. Moreover, since the wear-resistant member is inserted obliquely along the shallow groove at a specific angle of inclination, the wear-resistant member does not fly out due to centrifugal force while the drum is rotating. The thickness of the drum component around the insertion recess for the sexual member does not become thinner, and deformation thereof is prevented. Furthermore, according to the present invention, since no gap is created between the insertion hole of the wear-resistant member and the wear-resistant member, the yarn does not get caught, and yarn fuzz and yarn breakage are effectively prevented. I can do it. Further, the recessed portion is
Since a part of the outer circumferential surface of one end of the cylindrical wear-resistant member is formed in a V-shape that becomes gradually shallower toward the other end, the recess can be easily formed and manufactured at low cost. In particular, even in the case of a shallow groove, it is possible to form a complete thread guiding groove bottom and side wall part around a part of the periphery of the wear-resistant member, and the thread will not deviate from the groove of the wear-resistant member. The yarn can be guided smoothly. Therefore, the traverse is defective,
There is no deterioration in yarn quality or production efficiency of the winding machine, and the service life of the grooved traverse drum can be significantly extended. Further, since it is relatively easy to process the drum for inserting and fixing the wear-resistant member, the present invention makes it possible to provide a grooved traversing drum for a thread winding machine that is inexpensive and highly effective.
