There are two types of rotary incinerators, the so-called counter-current type and the co-current type. The former uses the heat of the combustion exhaust gas to dry the sludge, which has the advantage of reducing auxiliary energy consumption in the incinerator. On the other hand, the exhaust gas outlet temperature decreases (generally 150 to 250
°C) and the odor components are not decomposed and are emitted together with the exhaust gas, which poses problems in odor treatment. On the other hand, although the latter has the advantage that the odor components are burned in an incinerator, it is difficult to incinerate in an energy-saving manner, and has the same advantages and disadvantages as the former.

Therefore, methods for treating high concentration odors generated from organic waste include (1) direct combustion (deodorization) method; (2)
There are catalytic combustion (deodorizing) methods, (3) chemical cleaning (deodorizing) methods, etc., but although chemical cleaning methods have the advantage of low running costs, their deodorizing effects are low, and they are particularly difficult to treat odors with a burnt smell. It is said that it is not suitable. The direct combustion method and catalytic combustion method are excellent methods for completely removing odors, but the direct combustion method has high running costs because it is necessary to constantly maintain the reaction temperature at 800-850℃ and the residence time at 1 second or more. There is a drawback. The catalytic combustion method has a low reaction temperature of 350 to 400 degrees Celsius, but it requires energy to raise the temperature of the odor gas to 350 to 400 degrees Celsius, and also requires a mechanism to remove dust attached to the catalyst surface. There is a problem that the configuration is complicated.

The dehydrated cake is dried while being granulated while moving inside the inner cylinder toward the oil burner while coming into contact with the hot air flowing through the inner cylinder 2 from the oil burner 19 side to the supply device 4' side in a countercurrent manner, and is then combusted. do. At this time, combustion exhaust gas containing odorous gas mainly consisting of burnt odor is generated, and after being treated by the exhaust gas treatment device, this combustion exhaust gas passes through the odorous gas inlet 7 and flows into the catalyst layer 5 from the odorous gas inlet 5a. . The speed at which combustion exhaust gas containing odor gas passes through this catalyst layer 5 is
The SV value is preferably about 2500 to 3500 (1/h). The temperature of this combustion exhaust gas is determined by the odor gas inlet 5 of the catalyst layer 5.
Although the temperature does not rise that much in part a, the combustion heat of the oil burner 19 and the dehydrated cake is transmitted to the inner cylinder wall, and the temperature rises to the point where the catalytic action of the metal catalyst is sufficiently effective, resulting in effective deodorization. Proceed to. In other words, most of the odorous gases mainly composed of hydrocarbon compounds and sulfides are converted into relatively odorless gases such as H 2 O, CO 2 , and SO 2 through the catalytic action, and then deodorized gases are used. The incineration ash generated by the combustion of the dehydrated cake is discharged to the outside via the rotary valve 21, and is dried and
Most of the dust generated during the combustion process is discharged to the outside through the rotary valve 23 and the electrostatic precipitator 13, and a small portion flows into the catalyst layer 5 together with the exhaust gas and adheres to the metal catalyst surface. Due to the movement of the catalyst particles due to the rotation of the
The pressure drop remains constant at all times, so there is no need to worry about blockages.

In the present invention, by providing fins on the outer surface of the inner cylinder at the portion where the catalyst layer is formed (the fins are provided so as to protrude into the annular space), the heat within the inner cylinder is extremely effectively used for deodorization. However, as another configuration, a plurality of metal tubes communicating between the oil burner side and the supply device 4' side in the inner cylinder,
The metal tube may be provided in the annular space to serve as a heat exchanger, and the catalyst layer may be heated by the hot air in the inner cylinder flowing through the metal tube, and the metal tube may have a regular hexagonal cross section. It is particularly preferable to apply this to form a honeycomb type heat exchanger. In any case, any structure may be used as long as the heat within the inner cylinder is efficiently transmitted to the catalyst layer.

As described above, the incinerator of the present invention is a countercurrent type rotary incinerator, in which the main body of the rotary cylinder is made of a metal plate, and a catalyst layer filled with a granular metal catalyst is arranged between the rotary cylinder and the rotary cylinder. The deodorizing device and the incinerator are arranged integrally and concentrically, and the odor gas generated from the incinerated material is passed through the catalyst layer. Odor gas can be deodorized extremely efficiently by heating the metal catalyst through the metal plate to a temperature at which the catalytic action is effectively exhibited, and dust, etc. that inhibit the catalytic action can be removed by rotation of the catalyst layer into metal catalyst particles. The deodorizing performance is maintained at a high level, and the problems of conventional countercurrent incinerators, which require a separate odor gas treatment device, are definitely solved, and the By using dissipated heat as a deodorizing heat source, it is possible to obtain a deodorizing effect in an extremely energy-saving manner, making it possible to incinerate sludge, etc. in densely populated areas, and the device structure is simple and compact, making it easy to install. It has practical effects such as being able to reduce the area, easy to operate and maintain, and greatly contributing to improving the efficiency of human waste collection in local governments.
