Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an oil-containing wastewater treatment apparatus whose installation cost is low and which does not emit harmful or malodorous gases. CONSTITUTION:An evaporation pot 11 is installed on a heating furnace 1. The evaporation pot is composed of an evaporating dish 13 and a hood 15 to cover the dish. Wastewater in a wastewater tank 9 is sent to the evaporating dish 13 by pressure through a pipe 17 to keep the surface level of the wastewater almost constant. A plurality of combustion deodorizing cylinders 19 are installed at the tip of the hood 15 and these cylinders are projected into a flue 5 of the hood 15. Each of the combustion deodorizing cylinders 19 is a cylinder having a plurality of holes 21 in the circumferential face. An air preheater 23 is set at the base of a chimney 7 and outside air heated by the waste gas flowing in the chimney 7 is sent to the hood 15 by a ventilating fan 25. An oil skimmer is attached to the evaporation pot 11 and oil is recovered continuously.
