Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the superior external shape preservation characteristic to co-exist with the superior sitting feeling by using a shaped member which contains cotton which has the higher density than that of the main part and has different hardness on the part where hardness is necessary locally and varying the density of the cotton at the boundary between the hard part and soft part and then hardening the binder which is impregnated into the shaped member and the main part. CONSTITUTION:Each shaped member 9 which contains cotton having a high density and has different hardness is used for the side wall part 5 of a side port part 3 shown by batching in the figure or the upper and lower edge parts 6 and 7 in a shoulder part 2. The shaped member 9 having different hardness is constituted of the high density cotton 11 in which the degree of entanglement between fibers is increased and the cotton 12 having the equal density to that of the main part 10. The cotton in the shaped member 9 having different hardness and the cotton in the main part 10 are impregnated with the excessive binder liquid consisting of urethane polymer/ tricsene solution, and the excessive liquid is removed by centrifugal force so that a prescribed binder liquid adhesion rate is obtained. After the cotton in the shaped member 9 and the main part 10 is set into a mold, urethane polymer is hardened by blowing steam.

[Prior Art] Various materials have been used for cushion bodies used in vehicle seats and the like. For example, it is generally known to use natural materials such as palm rock, or to use synthetic resin foams such as urethane foam. More recently, as an alternative material to these materials, cushion bodies are made by bonding crimped synthetic cotton fibers with a resin binder.
For example, it is known from Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-141388.

Usually, the outside of the cushion body is covered with a cover material such as cloth or leather, but when the cover material comes into contact with the edge portion of the cushion body, the edge portion tends to be deformed, resulting in poor appearance after covering. How to improve the appearance after covering 1. It is necessary to increase the hardness so that the edge part does not bend.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, if the cushion body is simply made harder, the entire portion that comes into contact with the body when sitting becomes hard, resulting in poor sitting comfort. In addition, even if a hard impregnated layer is formed on a part of the urethane foam to prevent it from deforming during covering, part of the hard impregnated layer will feel like a foreign object when it comes into contact with the body, making it uncomfortable to sit on. ing.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a cushion body having a main portion formed by bonding intertwined fibers with each other with a resin binder, where hardness is required locally. A molded material of different hardness containing cotton with a higher density than the main part is used in the above-mentioned parts, and the density of the cotton gradually changes at the boundary between the hard part and the soft part. The main part and the fibers of the different hardness molding material are bound by curing the binder component impregnated into the different hardness molding material and the main part.

[Function] In the cushion body of the present invention, the fibers of the main part and the fibers of the molded material of different hardness are bound by the resin binder, and the main part and the molded material of different hardness are integrated, so that
Only the portion where the molded material of different hardness is provided becomes hard by the desired thickness. In this molded material of different hardness, the density of the cotton gradually changes at the boundary between the hard part and the soft part, so when the fibers are bisited together by the binder, the hardness gradually changes. In other words, since the hardness does not suddenly change, it is effective in preventing the occurrence of creases after covering. In addition, the firmness does not change drastically at the point where it touches the body, so you can get a natural feeling when sitting on it.

As an example of means for hardening the side wall portion 5 of the side support portion 3, a molded material 9 of different hardness as shown in FIG. 2 was used in this embodiment. This molded material 9 with different hardness has a basis weight of 750 g/
It consists of high-density cotton 11 in which the degree of intertwining of fibers is increased by needle-punching about 100 pieces/d of polyester cotton, and cotton 12 having the same density as the main part 10 which is not needle-punched. The thickness of the needle-punched high-density cotton 11 (approximately 511,111 mm) is reduced to about 1/3 of the thickness before needle punching (approximately 15 m11), and the density is increased and hardened accordingly. As shown in FIG. 2, the edge of the less dense cotton 12 is superimposed on the outer side of the edge of the high density cotton 11.

After the cotton of the different hardness molding material 9 and the cotton of the main part 10 having the above structure are each impregnated with a binder liquid consisting of a urethane prepolymer/Tricene solution excessively, centrifugal force is applied so that a predetermined binder liquid adhesion rate is achieved. Remove excess liquid. The cotton of the different-hardness molding material 9 and the cotton of the main portion 10 are each packed into a mold made of punching metal to a predetermined density. At this time, as shown in FIG. 3, the edges of the cotton 12 with low density are compressed in the thickness direction,
The molding material 9 of different hardness is set correctly at a predetermined position within the mold. Note that, before setting the different hardness molding material 9 in the mold, the different hardness molding material 9 may be previously molded into the state shown in FIG. 3 by an appropriate means.

Note that the high-density cotton 11 does not necessarily have to be needle-punched. For example, as in the second embodiment of the present invention shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, a portion of the cotton 12 having a density similar to that of the main portion 10, that is, a portion where hardness is required, is removed by appropriate means. The high-density cotton 11' may be obtained by compressing the cotton in the thickness direction and reducing the thickness as shown in FIG. After molding, the main portion 10 and the molded material 9 of different hardness are completely integrated as shown in FIG. 7, so that the same effects as in the previous embodiment can be obtained. The present invention can also be applied to increasing the hardness of ridgeline parts such as seat seats.
Of course, it can also be used for cushion bodies other than vehicle seats.
