However, this type of foam-filled bumper lacks structural strength and has the problem of insufficient energy absorption performance in the event of a major collision. For this reason, reinforcement is used when attaching it to the body, but it lacks integrity and
While installation increases the number of man-hours, the reality is that it is not possible to improve energy absorption performance as much as expected. Therefore,
It is proposed that a reinforcement is integrally molded by embedding and fixing a tubular body extending in the longitudinal direction approximately in the center of a foamed member filled inside a skin member that forms the outer shape of the bumper. However, the problem remains that the bonding strength between the tubular body and the foam is insufficient.

In a bumper consisting of a body, the foam density around the tubular body is higher than the foam density near the skin member. It can be manufactured by setting the tubular body and foaming the foam member so as to surround the tubular body, by circulating cooling air within the tubular body to reduce the foaming rate around the tubular body. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing a foam-filled bumper.

In a bumper consisting of a tubular body extending in the direction and embedded, the foam density around the tubular body is made greater than the foam density near the skin member, so the tubular body is firmly fixed inside the foam member. As a result, it is possible to obtain a foam-filled bumper that has high energy absorption performance that cannot be obtained with foam even if a thin-walled pipe is used as the tubular body. Further, by attaching it to the stay via a tubular body, the attachment strength can be improved.

In manufacturing a bumper consisting of a tubular body extending longitudinally and embedded in approximately the center of a foamed member, cooling air is circulated through the tubular body used as reinforcement during the foaming reaction of the foamed member. Since the foaming rate around the tubular body can be reduced, the foam density around the tubular body can be easily adjusted to be higher than the foam density near the skin member, making it possible to fix the tubular body within the foam member. Assure.
