Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the data saving action of all data storing parts under the control of plural data storing control parts simultaneously by constituting one pair of one magnetic disk device for saving data for one original and copy data storing part. CONSTITUTION:A data storing control part 1 saves data in an original data storing part 3 to a magnetic disk device 6 through a magnetic disk control part 8 with use of signal lines 5 and (b). Then a data storing control part 2 saves data in a copy data storing part 4 to a magnetic disk device 7 through the magnetic disk control part 8 with use of the signals 5 and (b).

タ記憶部のデータ内容を磁気ディスク装置にデータ退避
している間、別のデータ記憶制御部は前記磁気ディスク
装置は使用出来ない為、副データ記憶部のデータ退避は
正データ退避が終了するのを待って行っていた。

来ない為、ファイルサブシステムの全データ記憶部のデ
ータ退避動作時間が大きくなり、一方のデータ記憶部の
データ退避中、他方のデータ記憶部がデータ退避可能の
状態にあるのに、データ退避できないという欠点がある

スク制御部により構成されるファイルサブシステムに於
て、前記圧および副データ記憶部のそれぞれ1台に対し
、データ退避用磁気ディスク装置を1台ずつ割当てるこ
とにより、複数個のデータ記憶制御部配下にある全ての
データ記憶部のデータ退避動作を同時並行に行うもので
ある。

前記正および副データ記憶部のそれぞれ1台に対し、デ
ータ退避用磁気ディスク装置を1台ずつ割当てることに
より、データ記憶制御部配下にある全てのデータ記憶部
のデータ退避動作を同時並行に行うようにしたことを特
徴とするファイルサブシステム。
