る。 FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the main parts of an embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, 10 is a piezoelectric plate made of PZT or the like, and 20 is a flexible printed wiring board used as a conductor for external connection. Piezoelectric plate 10
Electrodes 11 are provided around the entire circumference except for both end faces. Grooves 12 and 13 are provided near both side surfaces of one surface of the piezoelectric plate 10 along the longitudinal direction (X direction), respectively. These grooves 12,
Reference numeral 13 denotes an electrode 11 provided around the entire circumference of the piezoelectric plate 10 except for both end surfaces, and a signal electrode 11a and a common electrode 11.
Further, one of the grooves (for example, 13) is used as a mounting portion for fitting and fixing the end portion of the flexible printed wiring board 20. The width of these grooves 12 and 13 should be such that at least the end portion of the flexible printed wiring board 20 can be fitted therein, and it is sufficient that the width is approximately the same as the thickness of the flexible printed wiring board 20 (70 μm to 100 μm). Grooves having such a width can be cut all at once using a thick blade of a dicing saw. A signal wiring pattern 21 is provided on one side of the flexible printed wiring board 20, and a common wiring pattern 22 is provided on the other side.

First, as shown in FIG. 1, the integrated piezoelectric plate 10 and flexible printed wiring board 20 are mounted on a backing material 30 and diced to form a large number of elements to form element arrays. For dicing, as is conventionally done, the cutting edge of the dicing saw is cut to a depth that completely cuts the piezoelectric plate 10, using the signal wiring pattern 21 of the flexible printed wiring board 20 as a guide. Flexible printed wiring board 20
A large number of grooves are provided in the Y direction so that a large number of elements are arranged in the X direction according to the signal wiring pattern 21 of. Incidentally, the flexible printed wiring board 20 and the solder or conductive adhesive are also cut and separated by these grooves. After forming the element array in this way, quartz glass 40 is provided on the element array,
50% triacetylcellulose on 40% quartz glass
will be established.
