状況の説明図で、実際には針7が曲がりその反力
により揺動台1が図aの矢印F方向に変位してし
まうと針は更に曲げられ、限界を越えることがあ
る。また図bに示すように、針が下降して布Wを
貫通後、針先が針板8の針穴8aの縁等に接触し
て折損する(7a部)ことが起り得る。また、こ
の切損により、針の破片がオペレータの眼に衝突
するという最悪のケースもあり得る。

ため、その装置がミシン本体の内部操作機構と関
連し、複雑、高価となることを免れなかつた。
