It is difficult to do so, and the fuel oil level in the fuel reservoir tends to become low. Therefore, when the fuel oil level fluctuates due to starting, stopping, sudden acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle, etc., it is difficult to maintain sufficient fuel around the suction port of the fuel suction pipe. This problem is particularly noticeable when the fuel reservoir is displaced to one side in the front-back direction of the fuel tank body because the fuel oil level fluctuates rapidly. appears in

を効率よく十分に行うことができる。(2) Effect When the remaining amount of fuel in the fuel tank becomes low, this function prevents the flow of fuel from the upper wall side to the lower wall side that occurs in the tank due to starting, stopping, acceleration/deceleration, etc. of the vehicle. The baffle plate can effectively attenuate the fuel flow by reversing it toward the upper wall, thereby avoiding the collision of the fuel flow with the lower wall and preventing the so-called waving noise caused by the collision. In addition, the reversed flow is guided by the two halves of the baffle plate arranged in a diverging shape, and is collected in the narrow part of the two halves, and its momentum allows it to easily overcome the upper edge of the fuel reservoir. The fuel is refilled inside the fuel tank smoothly, making use of the back-and-forth flow of fuel that frequently occurs within the fuel tank when the vehicle starts, stops, accelerates and decelerates, etc., and replenishes the fuel into the fuel reservoir when the oil level fluctuates. Replenishment can be carried out efficiently and sufficiently.

The replenishment of fuel to the fuel reservoir is more reliably performed. Moreover, since the fuel reservoir is located in the narrow part between the two halves of the diverging baffle plate, the baffle plate There will be no interference.

燃料は上段壁1aに達する前に減衰する。 Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. The fuel in the fuel tank T is stored in the fuel reservoir 3 and is sucked up from the suction pipe 13 and supplied to the engine. When the fuel is consumed and the oil level O drops below the lower wall 1b of the ceiling wall 1 as shown in FIG. The vibration is attenuated by the resistance of the baffle plate 2. Moreover, since the deflecting plate 2 is inclined upwardly from the lower wall 1b side to the upper wall 1a side as described above, when the fuel flows forcefully from the upper wall 1a side to the lower wall 1b side, the deflection plate 2 The direction of the flow is reversed toward the upper wall 1a by the slope of the baffle plate 2, as indicated by the arrow in the figure. Therefore, the fuel is prevented from hitting the lower wall 1b and making noise. Since the upper wall 1a is located at a relatively high position, the fuel turned toward it is attenuated before reaching the upper wall 1a.

燃料の給送が確実に行われる。 When the oil level O drops to below the upper open surface of the fuel reservoir 3, the fuel around the fuel reservoir 3 usually flows into the small hole 1.
2, the fuel reservoir 3 through the annular passage 10 and the small hole 11
Therefore, the fuel reservoir 3 is not depleted. Furthermore, even if the fuel swings back and forth significantly as the vehicle starts, stops, accelerates and decelerates as described above, and the fuel outside the fuel reservoir 3 moves to one side of the fuel tank T, the fuel The fuel in the reservoir 3 is retained almost unchanged in the fuel reservoir 3 due to the flow path resistance of the small holes 11 and 12 and the annular passage 10. Moreover, when the fuel outside the fuel reservoir 3 moves vigorously from the upper wall 1a side to the lower wall 1b side, the fuel is guided to the left and right halves 2a and 2b of the baffle plate 2, which are arranged in a manner that spreads out toward the end. The fuel is collected in the narrow parts of both halves 2a and 2b, and with its momentum, it easily overcomes the upper edge of the fuel reservoir 3 and is stored therein. Therefore, the oil level in the fuel reservoir 3 is maintained higher than the surrounding oil level, and fuel is reliably supplied to the engine.

る。C. Effects of the invention As described above, according to the invention, the ceiling wall of the tank body is composed of an upper wall and a lower wall arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a stepped section connecting these upper and lower walls. In a fuel tank device for a vehicle, a fuel reservoir with an open top is installed on the inner surface of the bottom wall of the tank body, and a suction pipe connected to the fuel pump is inserted into the fuel reservoir. A deflector plate is disposed substantially in the center in the front-rear direction, and is erected on the inner surface of the bottom wall of the tank body, and is inclined upwardly from the lower wall side to the upper wall side below the step portion or the vicinity thereof. This baffle plate has both halves formed in a shape that widens toward one side in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and is arranged so that the fuel reservoir is located in the narrow part between the two halves, so that the fuel tank When the amount of fuel remaining in the tank is getting low, use a baffle plate to prevent the flow of fuel from the upper wall to the lower wall that occurs in the tank due to starting, stopping, acceleration/deceleration, etc. of the vehicle. It is possible to effectively attenuate the fuel flow by reversing it toward the upper wall, thereby avoiding collision of the fuel flow with the lower wall, and preventing the generation of so-called waving noise due to the collision. Therefore, it does not cause discomfort to the passengers.
Furthermore, the reversed flow is guided by the two halves of the deflector plate arranged in a diverging manner, and is collected in the narrow part of the two halves, and with its momentum, it easily overcomes the upper edge of the fuel reservoir and enters the inside thereof. Because it is replenished smoothly,
Utilizing the forward and backward flow of fuel that frequently occurs in the fuel tank when the vehicle starts, stops, accelerates and decelerates, etc., it is possible to efficiently and sufficiently replenish the fuel reservoir when the oil level fluctuates. Therefore, even when the oil level fluctuates, there is no risk that the fuel suction action of the suction pipe will be interrupted.
Fuel can be stably supplied to the engine.

This can contribute to cost reduction and improved assembly efficiency.
