Positioning is important. For this reason,
It is necessary to apply tension to the tape and keep it constant and in one direction at all times.

As shown in the figure, the supply side mechanism A and the winding side mechanism B have similar configurations, so the same or equivalent parts are given the same numbers, and A and B are added after the numbers for explanation. . The tape 1 is intermittently fed by the feeding sprocket 2 every pitch of the lead frame formed on the tape 1, and is thereby fed from the supply reel 3A to the processing station 7 via the guide roller 4A, tension roller 5A, and guide roller 6. It will be done. Tape 1 processed at processing station 7
Further, it passes through the feed sprocket 2, tension roller 5B, guide roller 4B, and then to the take-up reel 3B.
It is wound up.

The tension rollers 5A, 5B are supported by tension arms 12A, 12B which are swingably provided, respectively, and the tension arms 12A, 12B are supported by tension applying springs 13A, 12B.
13B, and tension on the tape 1 is applied by tension rollers 5A, 5B via tension arms 12A, 12B.

Considering the operation, as the tape 1 is fed by the feeding sprocket 2, the tension arm 12A moves downward, and the lower limit switch 15A is moved downward.
When it turns ON, the motor ON/OFF control circuit 16A
As a result, the supply motor 17A starts rotating, the supply reel 3A rotates, and the tension arm 12A
rises. When the tension arm 12A moves upward and the upper limit switch 14A turns ON, the supply motor 17A stops. Therefore, the tension applied to the tape 1 from the feeding sprocket 2 to the supply reel 3A is determined by the upper and lower limit switches 14A,
The variation of the force of the tension applying spring 13A with respect to the position of the tension arm 12A is suppressed within the range of 15A.

The length of the tape 1 from the processing station 7 to the take-up reel 3B becomes longer, and there is a lot of loss at the beginning and end of the tape 1.

cannot be processed by the processing station 7, so if the tape length from the supply reel 3A to the processing station 7 is long, the tape 1
There will be a lot of wasted parts at the end. Also, before starting, the tape 1 wound on the supply reel 3A is pulled out and the starting end of the tape 1 is attached to the take-up reel 3B. If the length of the tape from the processing station 7 to the take-up reel 3B is long, there will be a large amount of waste at the starting end of the tape 1.

ープ20に張力を与えることができる。 An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIG. The tape 20 is intermittently fed out by the feed sprocket 21, and thereby the tape 20 is fed out on the supply reel 22.
From A, it is sent to the processing station 24 via the guide roller 23A, and further to the feeding sprocket 21,
It passes through the tension detection section 25 and the guide roller 23B, and is then wound onto the take-up reel 22B. The tape feed motor 26 that drives the feed sprocket 21 uses a pulse-controlled DC servo motor, and is driven by a quantitative feed control circuit 27 that controls the feed amount and stop position. In recent high-performance DC servo motors that use permanent magnet fields, the output torque is proportional to the current and is defined by a torque constant, if friction from brushes and the like is ignored. Therefore, by measuring the current flowing through the tape feed motor 26, the torque applied to the tape feed motor 26, and therefore the tension applied to the tape 20, can be determined. The supply motor 28A that drives the supply reel 22A also uses the same type of DC servo motor, and by applying power to the supply motor 28A in the opposite direction to the tape traveling direction, the tape 20 can apply tension to.

This fluctuation in the tension of the tape 20 is corrected as follows.

This error signal is amplified by a differential amplifier 31A, and is sent to the supply motor 2 via a motor drive circuit 32A.
The torque of 8A is controlled and fed back so that the torque of the tape feed motor 26 is constant. Therefore, the tension from the supply reel 22A to the feed sprocket 21 is kept constant.

This tension roller 40 is connected to a movable slit plate 41.
It is rotatably supported by a shaft 42 implanted in the. The shaft 42 is a groove 4 formed perpendicularly to the fixed plate 43.
3a in a slidable manner. The movable slit plate 41 has a wedge-shaped slit 41 with a wide upper part.
A is formed, and a fixed slit plate 44 having a slit 44a is disposed opposite to this slit 41a. The movable slit plate 41 is pulled upward by a spring 45, and the position of the tension roller 40 is proportional to the tension of the tape 20.

This voltage is then compared with the tension setting voltage of the tension setting potentiometer 30B. This error voltage is amplified by the differential amplifier 31B, and the current of the winding motor 28B consisting of a DC servo motor is transferred to the motor drive circuit 3.
2B to keep the tension of the tape 20 on the winding side constant. Further, the tension detecting section 25 also functions to absorb changes in tape tension caused by intermittent feeding of the lead frame formed on the tape 20 for each pitch.

Further, since a mechanism for applying tape tension is not required, the length of the tape from the supply reel to the processing station is shortened, and the wasted portion at the end of the tape is reduced.
