車両用ドアやトランク等のキーシリリダは、キ
ー挿入部にシヤツタが設けられ、一応の水浸入防
止対策がなされているものの、洗車時などではブ
ラシ等がシヤツタを押し開き、水がキーシリンダ
内部に浸入してしまうため、キーシリンダ内部に
浸入した水をシリンダケース底部に設けた水抜き
孔よりキーシリンダ外に排出させ、キーシリンダ
が取付けられた車体パネル下部に開設した排水孔
から排出させるようになつている。第1図はこう
した従来のキーシリンダの排水構造を示すもので
あり、車体パネルたるバツクドアDのアウタパネ
ル6にリテーニングクリツプ4によつて取付けら
れたキーシリンダ本体1のシリンダケース2底部
に水抜き孔3を設け、キーシリンダ本体1内に浸
入した水をバツクドアDのインナパネル7下端部
に開設した排水孔11より排出するようにしたも
のである。かかるキーシリンダはキー挿入性を良
くするために、図示したように車体内部側が車体
外部側より下方になるように傾斜をもつて固定さ
れており、又前記水抜き孔3はシリンダケース2
底部の車体内部側と車体外部側の2ケ所に設けら
れていて、キーシリンダ本体1内に浸入した水
を、まずシリンダケース2車体外部側底部に設け
た水抜き孔3aより排出させ、そこで排出しきれ
ずキーシリンダ本体1の傾斜によりキーシリンダ
本体1前方に流下した水をシリンダケース2車体
内部側底部に設けた水抜き孔3bより排出させる
ようになつている。しかしながらこのキーシリン
ダは車体外部側底部の水抜き孔3aより排出され
た水は矢印線の示すように、そのままアウタパネ
ル6に沿つて流下し排水孔11に向いこれについ
ては問題はないが、車体内部側底部の水抜き孔3
bより排出された水は、その一部がキーシリンダ
本体1先端に取り付けられたキーレバー5に案内
されロツド8にかかり、さらにロツド8を伝わつ
て流下してロツク解除レバー10、バツクドアロ
ツク9、そしてストライカ12を介して車室内側
に浸入して、カーペツトを濡らしたり、車室内部
材の腐蝕をまねいたりするという問題点があつ
た。(実開昭55−47523号公報参照) 本発明は、こうした従来の問題点に着目してな
されたもので、キーシリンダから排出した水が車
室内に浸入することなく、車外に排水される構造
を得ると共に、部品数が増加することなく、取付
工数を少なくすることを目的とし、そのためキー
レバーをキーシリンダの軸方向の車室内側部分を
覆うように形成すると共に、前記キーレバーの下
部の外側縁の少なくとも一部に車体パネル側に延
びるフランジを立設して、前記水抜き孔から排出
する水を受容し車体パネル側に案内するガイド部
を前記キーレバー下部に一体に形成したものであ
る。
