A net 5 connected to the electron gun 5, an electron gun mounted in the net 5 and emitting a plurality of electron beams, a stem pin 7 that applies a predetermined voltage to the electron gun 6, and a stem pin 7 that applies a predetermined voltage to the electron gun 6. A static convergence and color purity adjustment magnet 8 provided on the outer wall of the net 5 to be installed, a deflection device 9 attached to the outer wall from the funnel 4 to the net 5, and a magnet 8 attached to the phosphor screen 1 at a predetermined interval. When a color picture tube consisting of a shadow mask 10 is completed, and when it is incorporated into a television receiver and operated, the adjustment magnet 8 adjusts the static convergence and color purity of the electron beam on the phosphor screen 1. It's becoming like that. The above-mentioned adjusting magnet 8 generally uses two magnets each having two magnetic poles, four magnetic poles, and six magnetic poles, and these magnets are used to adjust the static convergence and color purity of the electron beam. However, although the adjustment of these magnets is done by skilled workers, it takes a considerable amount of time, and the work relies on experience, so the adjustment may not be done with sufficient precision. is the current situation.

During the exhaust process during the manufacture of color picture tubes, there is a process of heating parts that become hot during the operation of the electron gun 6, such as the cathode, to a high temperature. This is a necessary process to prevent gas from escaping and improve the lifespan and reliability of color picture tubes. In this case, the above-mentioned magnetic material 18 used in the color picture tube is
The magnetic material 18
The mounting position of the electron gun 6 is not suitable anywhere on the electron gun 6, but is limited. Therefore, the preferred location is usually a part called the convergence cap, which is located at the leading edge of the electron gun.
That is, other positions of the electron gun 6 are actually heated;
As a result, the characteristics of the magnetic material 18 are deteriorated, and the magnetic material 18 in a linear or strip shape is formed in the part of the electron gun 6.
This is because winding the color picture tube reduces the reliability of the color picture tube.

An example is shown in which several magnetic rings are provided every 15 mm, but if they are placed on the electrode of an electron gun, they will be heated to a high temperature during the exhaust process and the characteristics will deteriorate, so it is not recommended to use magnetic rings. It is difficult to place a magnetic material on the tip of the convergence cup, and since the tip of the convergence cup is usually installed inside a deflection device, it is difficult to place a magnetic material on the tip of the convergence cup. This would be nearly impossible since the magnetic poles would have to be adjusted. Furthermore, even when adjusting color purity by removing the deflection device and then magnetizing the magnetic material, under the operating conditions of normal television equipment, only a spot focused on the center of the phosphor screen can be obtained. do not have. Therefore, it is very difficult to judge the result of color purity adjustment while looking at the screen. The reason for this is that the size of the spot is so small that it is not possible to determine the result of magnetic pole adjustment based on the brightness of the spot. Such a determination is difficult even with the naked eye, and is even more difficult when detected by an automatic device.

自動装置を使用しても不可能に近い。 That is, in order to determine whether a minute electron beam spot is accurately landing on the dot or stripe-shaped phosphor layer forming the phosphor screen, minute changes in brightness are detected at the position of an extremely small spot. Such detection is nearly impossible even with highly sensitive automated equipment.

非常に手間がかかる欠点があつた。 That is, in the magnetization method disclosed in JP-A-51-122322, an adjustment device that generates a static magnetic field is attached to the neck of the color picture tube after assembly of the color picture tube is completed, and the adjustment device is installed while the color picture tube is in operation. In this method, the magnetization is performed by adjusting the static convergence and/or color purity of the color picture tube, determining the magnetization strength, polarity, and demagnetization strength of the magnetization device based on the information obtained from the adjustment device. If a magnetic substance is inside the deflection device when performing magnetization, the deflection device must be removed and magnetization performed. At this time, the magnetization or demagnetization strength necessary for color purity adjustment has been determined, but since there is considerable "variation" depending on the characteristics of the magnetic material and the arrangement of this magnetic material and the magnetization device, magnetization or demagnetization is not performed. After getting used to the color, it is necessary to perform detection again and repeat this process to adjust the color purity. However, since it is difficult to perform this detection all at once when small spots are formed on the phosphor screen, there is a drawback that the deflection device must be installed again, which is very time-consuming.

In addition, when adjusting color purity, it becomes possible to judge whether color purity adjustment has been performed accurately in large spots in a defocus state and at low brightness, which simplifies the equipment, especially when automatically adjusting color purity. As a result, it is possible to significantly reduce costs and to adjust color purity more accurately.
