In the method for manufacturing a metal tube with an extra length containing a filament according to the present invention, when forming the tube while moving the metal tape and welding the joints to obtain the metal tube body, the speed is faster than the movement speed of the metal tape. The present invention is characterized in that the filament is fed into the metal tube main body at a high speed to give extra length to the filament in the metal tube body, thereby obtaining a metal tube containing the filament with extra length.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the manufacturing method of the extra-length filament-filled metal tube of this embodiment includes a process in which a metal tape 1' is sent out from a tape supply 4 and passed through a roll-forming forming device 5. Then, a plurality of forming rolls 6 are used to form the metal tape 1' into a tube. Further, the filament body 2 is supplied to the roll-forming forming device 5 from the filament body supply 7, and the filament body 2 is fed into the pipe-formed metal tape 1''.At this time, the filament body 2 is increased by the pinch roll 8 at a speed (a
+α) It is forcibly fed into the tube-forming metal tape 1'' at a rate of m/min, and is made to meander within the tube-forming metal tape 1'' to provide an extra length. The surface of the pinch roll 8 is preferably made of a soft material 9 such as rubber or plastic so as not to damage the filament 2. Next, the pipe-forming metal tape 1'' is fed into a welding process, and while the seam is held in a closed state by being pressed with a squeeze roll 10, the seam is welded with a welding machine 11, and the metal pipe body 1 is successively formed. The thus obtained metal tube 3 with a filament with extra length is wound around a rotating body 12 such as a drum installed immediately after the welding process for about 1 to 2 turns, and then wound up with a winder 13. Once the metal tube 3 containing a long filament is wound around the rotating body 12, the filament 2 in the metal tube body 1 is in the same state as if it were fixed to the metal tube body 1, and the pinch roll 8 The force pushing the filamentous body 2 no longer reaches the filamentous body 2 in the metal tube main body 1 beyond the rotating body 12, and it is as if the filamentous body 2 is pushed in by pressing the tip of the filamentous body 2. Therefore, extra length can be effectively provided to the filamentary body 2.

The filamentous body 2 to be protected by the metal tube body 1 is as follows:
Examples include insulated wires and optical fiber cores. In particular, when carrying out this method, it is preferable that the filament 2 has a high rigidity and does not buckle, such as a fiber-reinforced plastic coated optical fiber in the case of a coated optical fiber.

Note that a winding drum may be used as the rotating body 12 to immediately wind it up. If the position of the rotating body 12 is too far away from the forming device 5, the effect of fixing the filament body 2 within the metal tube body 1 will not be so great.
Undesirable.

Experimental Example In a production line for aluminum metal tube bodies with an outer diameter of 6 mm and a wall thickness of 0.5 mm, a filament with an outer diameter of 2 mm was pushed into the metal tape produced in the aluminum tape tube production process. The forming speed of the metal tube body is
The insertion speed of the striatum was 4.02 m/min. Hard nylon with a thickness of 2 mm was attached to the outer periphery of the pinch roll for pushing the striatum, and the outer diameter was 15 mm. The outer diameter of the rotating body was 500 mm. With this method, the filament can be accommodated in a meandering manner within the metal tube body without buckling, and the filament can be accommodated in a meandering manner within the metal tube body without buckling.
We were able to add 0.5% extra length.

As explained above, in the present invention, since the filament is fed into the metal tube body at a speed faster than the moving speed of the metal tape to give the filament an extra length, the filament with extra length is It is possible to easily manufacture a cored metal tube. In particular, in the present invention, it is only necessary to make the feeding speed of the filament faster than the moving speed of the metal tape, so it is easy to implement and suitable.
