Resistance welding is performed, and then the brush wire 2 and the strip base material 1 are cut to a required length as shown in FIG. 1c, and then the tip of the brush wire 2 is shaped as shown in FIG. A semicircular curved portion 2a was formed.

When molding the brush wire 2, there were cases where the brush wire 2 broke at the welded part at the root or the brush wire 2 lost its springiness.

The U-shaped portion 6a of each tooth 6 is drawn in a mold (not shown) as shown in Fig. 2c.
As shown in the figure, the brush wire 7 is fed into the U-shaped portion 6a.
Caulk the upper sides of both sides of each brush wire 7 to the brush wire 7.
is held and fixed, and then the strip-shaped base material 5 is held and fixed, leaving a required dimension behind the comb tooth part, and also having a required length from the holding and fixing part of each brush wire 7, as shown in FIG. 2d. After cutting, the front end of each brush wire 7 is formed as shown in FIG. 2e to form a semicircular curved portion 7a on the lower side to obtain a sliding contact 8.

台材5に取付けられる。 As described above, in the method for manufacturing a brush contact of the present invention, the brush wire 7 is not welded to the band-shaped base material 5, but is fed into the U-shaped portion 6a of each tooth 6 of the comb-like base material 5, and the U-shaped Since the part 6a is held and fixed by caulking on both sides of the upper part, stress deformation such as thermal distortion does not occur, and therefore, when the brush wire material 7 is formed, the spring properties of the brush wire material 7 are not lost. In addition, since the brush wire 7 does not locally soften and sag due to welding heat, the brush wire 7 does not break at the base when the brush wire 7 is formed. Since the holding and fixing by caulking is performed within the mold, each brush wire 7 is attached to the base material 5 straight, parallel and horizontally without being tilted in the left-right direction or the up-down direction.

There are no defective products such as those that cannot be returned to the original state.Furthermore, the brush wire 7 is installed straight, parallel, and horizontally on the base material 5 without tilting in the left-right direction or the up-down direction, and all slides are of good quality. In contrast to the conventional sliding contact 3, there were 42 defective products in which the brush wire 7 was broken, the spring properties were lost, and the brush wire 7 was installed tilted in the horizontal and vertical directions. It was hot.

摺動接点を得ることができるという優れた効果が
ある。 As can be seen from the above explanation, in the method for manufacturing a sliding contact of the present invention, the brush wire is not welded to the base material, but the brush wire is held and fixed to the base material by caulking the base material, so stress such as thermal distortion etc. There is no deformation, the brush wire does not lose its springiness, and since the brush wire is held and fixed in the mold by caulking the base material, each brush wire is tilted in the horizontal and vertical directions. It can be attached to the base material straight, parallel and horizontally without any problems, and since the brush wire is not welded, the attached part will not buckle and break. Therefore, there is an excellent effect that a sliding contact of good quality can be obtained.
