本考案は主として自動3輪車の後車輪の車軸に

部材で支承される式を一般とし、かくて軸受部材
は各側の左右1対に用意される式を一般とするも
ので、全体として部品点数が増大して製作が面倒
であると共に重量が増大し勝ちである不都合を伴

して連結させて左右一対に並設すると共に、一側
の車軸4を伝動ケース2内のギヤの噛み合いから
なる後部伝動部材16とベルトの巻き掛けからな
る前部伝動部材8とを介してエンジン1の出力軸
9に連結させる車軸の支承装置において、前記伝
動ケース2を、前記前部伝動部材8と後部伝動部
材16とを支承する支承壁14を有する中央の主
筐2aと、前記前部伝動部材8を前記支承壁14
と共に被覆する第1カバー部材2bと前記後部伝
動部材16を前記支承壁14と共に被覆する第2
カバー部材2cとに構成し、前記一側の車軸4を
前記支承壁14に設けられる前記後車輪3,5間
のほゞ中央の軸受部材10と前記第1カバー部材
2bに設けられる第1軸受部材11とで支承させ
ると共に前記他側の車軸6を前記一側の車軸4の
端部と前記第2カバー部材2cに設けられる第2

けられる第1軸受部材11とで支承すると共に他
側の車軸6を前記一側の車軸4の端部と前記第2
カバー部材2cに設けられる第2軸受部材15と
で支承させたから左右一対に並設する車軸4,6
はその中間部を主筐2aの支承壁14に支承され
て各スパンがほゞ均等にとれるのでバランスよく
支承されて左右車軸4,6の剛性を増して、その
軸径を小径にして軽量化することが容易となると
共に、前記第1、第2カバー部材2b,2cの取
付けの容易さと相俟つて、その組付性を著しく向
上することができ、更に、出力軸9に連結される
一側の車軸4はその両端を軸受部材10,11に
支承されるため、その伝達強度を高め又、他側の
車軸6は、その内側の軸受部材を省略して部品点
数を減少して重量軽減に役立つ等の効果を有す
