CV cable is oil-filled cable (OF cable)
Unlike cables, the cable itself is not insulated with liquid, so if insulating oil is used at the connection, it is necessary to seal the connection with oil. One way to stop the oil is to use rubber packing on the outer semiconducting layer of the cable, but this method has the disadvantage that it is difficult to obtain sufficient precision in terms of the roundness of the cable. Therefore, in order to obtain sufficiently high roundness, a method is known in which a pipe-shaped metal fitting is fitted around the outer circumference of the cable and the metal fitting is bonded to the cable by molding. Fig. 1 shows an oil submerged terminal connection when such a fitting is used.A molding fitting 2 is fitted around the cable 1, and an oil stopper 3 is placed between the fitting 2 and the cable 1. are molded, and a packing 5 is interposed between the metal fitting 2 and the mounting metal fitting 4. The oil stopper 3 described above has conventionally been formed by the method shown in FIG.

That is, a molding fitting 2 is fitted around the cable 1, a conductive plastic material 6 is wrapped between both ends of the cable 1 and the cable 1, and a vulcanized rubber tape 7 is further wrapped around the entire surface and heated after being pressurized. This is a method of molding the oil stopper part 3. The above vulcanized rubber tape 7 is the cable 1
By applying pressure around the insulator, it is possible to prevent the cable insulator from foaming due to heating during molding. At this time, mold fittings 2
In this part, no pressing force is applied to the cable 1 by the vulcanized rubber tape 7, but in this part, the size of the gap 8 is adjusted by taking advantage of the fact that the coefficient of thermal expansion of the metal fitting 2 is larger than that of the cable insulator. By setting the thickness appropriately, the thermal expansion of the metal fitting 2 during heating pressurizes the cable insulator and prevents foaming.

However, when using the above method, since the circularity of the cable 1 is low, it is extremely difficult to control the gap 8 between the inner circumference of the molding fitting 2 and the cable 1 to a uniform size. If this is too small, the pressure acting on the cable 1 due to thermal expansion of the molding fitting 2 will become excessive, resulting in deformation of the cable 1, cracking of the insulator, etc. On the other hand, if the gap 8 is too large, the pressure acting on the cable 1 becomes zero, which causes the cable 1 to foam and deteriorate its electrical performance.

As described above, in consideration of the fact that in the conventional oil stopper forming method, it is difficult to control the pressure applied to the cable insulator by the molding fittings, this invention allows the pressure to be freely controlled. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for forming an oil stopper.

A small hole 11 is provided in the pipe-shaped mold fitting 10 used for carrying out the present invention. This small hole 11 is formed as a screw hole as shown in FIG.
2 communicates with the outside of the metal fitting 10. In this case, the gap 12 is set to such an extent that even if the metal fitting 10 expands thermally, it will not come into contact with the cable 1. A conductive unvulcanized rubber tape 14 is wound between the end of the metal fitting 10 and the cable 1 as a molding material for the oil stopper 13, a conductive shrink tube 15 is wound thereon, and a conductive crosslinked polyethylene tape 16 is further wound thereon. and conductive shrink tube 17 are wound in order to prepare for molding. Next, as shown in FIG. 3, a heating tube 18 is fitted around the cable 1 including the wrapped portion of the above material. The heating tube 18 is divided into an upper part and an upper part, and as shown in FIG. 4, a packing 19 is interposed at the abutting edges on both sides, and the outer peripheral surface is tightened together by a tightening band 20. Also, between each tightening band 20 there is a heater 2.
1 is installed. On the end surface of the heating tube 18,
The packing 22 and the presser plate 23 are applied in this order, and these are integrated into the heating tube 18 with bolts 25. Note that a part of the heating tube 18 is connected to an inert gas (N 2 , SF 6 , etc.) introduction tube 24 . With the above configuration, the heating tube 18 is attached around the cable 1 in an airtight manner.

Therefore, in order to mold the oil stopper 13, the heating tube 18 is heated by the heater 21, and the molding material is heated by the radiant heat from the inner surface of the heating tube 18. Fill with inert gas under pressure (2-10 Kg/cm 2 ). Since the metal fitting 10 is provided with the small holes 11 as described above, the air gap 12 on the inner surface of the metal fitting 10 becomes equal to the pressure outside the metal fitting 10. Therefore, by appropriately adjusting the gas pressure, the pressure inside the gap 12 can be controlled to a predetermined pressure.

Note that, after the oil stopper 13 is formed, the small hole 11 is closed with a screw to prevent oil leakage in the event that the oil stopper 13 has poor oil tightness.

As described above, this invention heats the part to be molded using the heating tube, simultaneously supplies a pressure medium such as an inert gas into the heating tube, and connects the inner surface of the molding fitting to the cable through the small hole provided in the molding fitting. Since molding is performed while controlling the pressure in the air gap, the cable may not be sufficiently round.
Therefore, even if the size of the gap between the cable and the molding fitting is uneven, accurate molding can be performed. Furthermore, conventionally, the mold material was heated while being covered with a vulcanized rubber tape, but in the case of the present invention, the exposed mold material is directly heated and pressurized, which has the effect of shortening the molding time.

In addition, as shown in the examples, inert gas is prevented from entering between the layers of the conductive unvulcanized rubber tape and the conductive cross-linked polyethylene tape by covering the space between the mold materials and the top surface with a heat-shrinkable tube. can. Furthermore, since an inert gas is used as the pressure medium, there is an advantage that the mold material and cable material are less likely to deteriorate. Furthermore, by attaching the heater to the outer periphery of the mold fitting, there is an advantage that even if the heater breaks, it can be easily repaired.
