In a known method (German Patent No. 1034375), a person to be dressed is placed in front of a board with marking lines and a photograph is taken, during which a tape scale is attached to the person. Being photographed. After the exposure has been completed, a plate with a mesh scale is now used, the plane of which is aligned with the line marked on the floor. This marked line represents the midsection of the person standing in that position. Then, without changing the position of the camera, the mesh scale is photographed again on the same plate or on the same film, superimposed on the previously photographed human image. In this way, a photograph of a human being superimposed on the mesh scale is obtained. In a similar manner, a person is photographed from three different directions.

The method described above is a time consuming method.
This is because imaging must be performed at least twice in one direction. That is, if the back and side images are combined, four images are required. Furthermore, moving the board requires great attentiveness on the part of the operator and is a time-consuming task. However, this method is not particularly suitable for detecting physical defects such as curvature of the spine or protrusion of the shoulder blades.

The method of the invention requires two exposures for imaging from two directions and is therefore inherently more economical than the known methods described above. However, an important feature of the invention is that the pattern of lines projected onto the surface of the object or person makes the raised or depressed parts of the object visible and measurable, i.e. the third dimension is discernible. It is becoming possible to do so. The dimensional factors are the spacing of the lines as well as the direction of curvature.

In particular, a line pattern is projected each time from the front center onto the surface of the object or the person to be clothed.
The exact shape of the surface of the object or person is detected from the running course of the line pattern and the spacing between the line patterns. It is particularly advantageous for the projection of the line pattern to be performed using a flash projector which is photoelectrically coupled to the flash of the camera.

Although it is possible to adopt almost any projection angle between 0° and 90° with respect to the vertical line, the line pattern can be projected at a projection angle of 30° to 60° with respect to the vertical line. Or it is intended to be projected onto the human surface. When the projection angle is within the above range, the unevenness is particularly noticeable. The pattern of lines is projected onto the surface of an object or person in such a way that they are equally spaced from each other when projected onto a vertical wall. Image distortion is removed in this way. It turns out that in order to clothe a human, it is only necessary to photograph the back and sides. The method according to the invention makes it possible to accurately detect the dimensions, and the image of the front part can usually be omitted.

The invention furthermore relates to a device for carrying out the above method, which device differs from known devices in the following respects. That is, the difference is that a flash projector that projects a line pattern diagonally above the object or person to be photographed is placed between the camera and the board. Advantageously, the plate is pivotable by at least 180° about a vertical axis, the camera is directly facing the pivot axis, and the plate is capable of being photographed in both swiveled positions. . In addition to the features already mentioned above, such a device is characterized by its simple construction and by the fact that it can be operated even by untrained personnel.

In FIG. 1 (see FIG. 1), the left half shows a human being seen from behind, and the right half shows a side view of a human being. Each half of FIG. 1 shows a mesh scale consisting of a vertical line 1 and a horizontal line 2, the distance between the mesh scales being 1 centimeter from each other. To make it easier to understand the dimensions, numbers are shown on the sides for every 10 centimeters of the dimensions. The ruler 3, which can be moved up and down and can be turned, makes it possible to quickly read the length of the interval.

The line pattern, consisting of lines 4 running essentially horizontally, makes the contour of the surface clear by the different curvatures and line spacings. Thus, for example, a position with a small spacing as indicated by symbol 5 indicates a tilted state of the neck, while a wide spacing of the lines in the position indicated by symbol 6 is due to a slight curvature of the spine. . By evaluating the photograph, it is therefore possible to create a cross-sectional model of the object or to create a matching mounting section for the garment to be made. The photographs show precise behind-the-scenes shapes and reveal three-dimensional dimensions that were previously impossible to measure.

In FIG. 2, symbol 7 indicates a wall, and a mirror 8 that reflects light is attached to the wall. A vertically rising plate 9 approximately in the center between the mirrors 8 is mechanically firmly attached to the wall 7. The ruler 3 can be turned in a horizontal plane and can be displaced up and down. Attached to the free end of the vertical plate 9 is a plate 10, for example by a hinge not shown in detail, which plate can be manually pivoted through 180 DEG. Plate 10 carries on both sides a mesh scale formed by lines 1 and 2.
A camera 11 equipped with a flash device and in particular an instantaneous image recording camera 11
is located at a distance of about 3 meters from the plate 10 and directly opposite the pivot axis of the plate 10. A holding device 12 is fixed to the vertically rising plate 9, which carries at its free end a rail 13, which rail is precisely horizontal. A flash projector 14 is suspended on the rail 13 via a roller (not shown), and the flash of the projector is emitted simultaneously with the flash provided on the camera side. The flash projector 14 is connected in a manner not shown along the rail 13 to an endless belt which is guided via two rollers, which tape moves when the plate 10 pivots. To this end, the plate 10 is pivotally articulated with a tube 15 of telescope-like construction, the other end of which is pivotally connected to the above-mentioned tape. When the plate 10 is pivoted, the telescopic rod 15, which can be retracted like a telescope tube, is first retracted. The component of force perpendicular to the holding device 12 causes the tape to move, thereby causing the flashlight to move from left to right in the figure. At the end of the pivoting movement, the plate 10 reaches the position shown in broken lines. Flash floodlight 1
4 are two end positions, each located directly opposite the center of the plate 10 when the plate 10 is swiveled through 180°. The flashlight projector 14 projects a pattern of lines onto the surface of a person or object by means of a transparency with no details shown. In order to avoid distortion of the line pattern, the flashlight projector 14 is equipped with a special lens system, the lens of which is located opposite the direction of the wall 7 and is tilted with respect to the axis of the optical system. There is. The flash projector 14 is set so that the luminous flux emitted by it is equal to the width of the plate 10 within the range of the plate 10. The photographing range of the camera 11 is approximately twice the width of the board 10. Symbols 16 and 17 indicate footrests for the person being photographed to step on before the photograph is taken.

FIG. 3 is a side view of the arrangement of FIG. 2; From this figure, it can be seen that the flash projector 14 is directed toward the surface of the board 10 at an angle of about 45° between the board 10 and the camera 11, but the pattern of lines projected from the flash projector is within the range of the surface of the board 10. It can be seen that at least the entire height of the plate 10 is covered (range indicated by the broken line). The same can be said about the photographing range of the camera 11 (the range indicated by the dashed dotted line).

The method of the invention is carried out in the following working sequence. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, first, a person stands on the footrest 16 and a photograph is taken. Simultaneously with the emission of the flash of the flash device equipped on the camera 11, the flash of the flash projector 14 is emitted. In the left half of the photograph, a person with the projected line pattern is photographed, and in the right half, the mesh scale of the board 10 is photographed. The plate 10 is then manually pivoted to the position shown in dashed lines. At that time, as mentioned above, the flash projector 14 is connected to the rail 1.
Move from left to right along 3. The rod 15, which is extendable and retractable like a telescope tube, moves from right to left. The person moves to the footrest 17 and once again exposes the dry plate or film inside the camera, thereby superimposing the mesh scale on the person projected by the first exposure and then repeating the first exposure. An image of the side of the person is superimposed on the mesh scale projected by the camera and exposed, and a line pattern is projected onto the side of the person while the image is being photographed.

A particularly advantageous device is shown in FIG. Instead of the movable flashlight 14, two flashlights are fixed and slid. The flash of the camera 11 is photoelectrically coupled to a flash projector 14a or 14b. The flash projectors 14a and 14b are directed at a fixed angle from above onto the surface of the plate 10. The flash projector projects a pattern of lines onto the surface of the person standing on the footrest 16 or 17, the pattern being formed by a diapositive. The spacing between the line patterns on the transparency is calculated according to the inclination angle of the flash projector so that the spacing between the line patterns projected on the diagonal surface is equal. Flash floodlight 14
a and 14b are operated alternately via contacts not shown but attached to the plate 10. When a person is standing on the footrest 17, the flash floodlight 14b is activated and the person is standing on the footrest 17.
The flash projector 14a is activated when the user is standing at the location.
