の軸孔1dを活字ホイール収容筐6に設けられた1のギ
ヤ部1eと噛合する歯部の一部が欠歯りされていて、駆
動ギヤ3のホームポジションの位置に於て、活字ホイー
ル収容筐6が受台8と共に前記駆動モータ10の駆動で
移動せしめられる時と、受台8に活字ホイール収容筐6
をセットするときとに活字ホイールの上下体lのギヤ部
1eと駆動ギヤ3とか触れることかないようになってい
る。そして、第4図示のように駆動ギヤ3が前記ホーム
ポジションの位置より回動することにより、活字ホイー
ルの上下体lのギヤ部1eと適確位置で噛合し、活字ホ
イール2と共に活字ホイールの上下体lを揺動により上
下に移動するようになっている。第7図に於て14は活
字ホイール2を選択回動するホイールモータ、15はそ
の回動軸、16は該回動軸15に一体的に設けられた位
置決め用の突起にして、前記活字ホイール2に穿れた連
結孔2Cに係合して、回動軸15と活字ホイール2とを
位置決め連結するようになっている。

活字ホイールの上下体1のみか活字ホイール収容筐6に
収容される。この状態て、活字ホイール2はホイルモー
タ14で選択回動されて、印字が行われる。(第5図は

トに支障を与えることか全くないのみならず、駆動ギヤ
とギヤ部の噛合回動により、活字ホイールの上下体を介
して、活字ホイールを確実に上下動せしめることがてき
る等これがもたらす効果は極めて多大である。
