    画像形成機器本体の給紙部と画像形成部との間の
    給紙搬送路を共通に利用して前記画像形成部に向
    けて用紙を給送可能な自動給紙装置において、 前記装置は用紙を積載する用紙積載部と、該用
    紙積載部から用紙を給紙する給紙手段と、該給紙
    手段により給紙された用紙と当接して一旦停止さ
    せた後再搬送する待機手段と、前記給紙手段と前
    記待機手段の作動を制御する制御手段と、該制御
    手段と前記画像形成機器本体の制御部との間の制
    御信号を授受を行うための信号授受手段とを備え
    たことを特徴とする自動給紙装置。
