As a conventional method for rolling metal endless belts, for example, there is a method described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 58-56001. A first roll placed inside a belt ring made of an endless metal material and a second roll placed outside the belt ring form a pair of work rolls, and both rolls work together. The belt ring is rolled by the belt ring.
In addition to the first roll, a tension roll is arranged inside the belt ring, and this tension roll applies tension to the belt ring during rolling. The first and second rolls are
Each is provided with rotational driving force and backed up by two drive rolls.

However, according to the above-mentioned prior art, when tension is applied to a belt ring made of an endless metal material by a first roll and a tension roll disposed inside, the tension roll is moved in a direction away from the first roll. At this time, the first roll and the second roll are brought into pressure contact by moving the drive roll up and down, and the first roll is brought into contact with the drive roll arranged on the outer periphery of the first roll and the second roll. It is necessary to hold it down with the second roll. Then, after the belt ring interposed between the first and second rolls is pressurized by these rolls, tension is applied to the belt ring. For this reason, the positioning accuracy of the belt ring with respect to the first roll may be unsatisfactory.

Since it is not easy, the rolling operation time becomes longer than necessary.

Due to this, the circumference of the belt ring is elongated. Then, after the tension roll is returned to the first roll direction to release the tension, the pressure contact between the two rolls is released, so that indentations remain on the formed endless metal belt.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes an elastic body protruding in an annular shape on the outer surface of a first roll disposed within a belt ring made of endless metal material or a second roll disposed outside the belt ring. , the amount of protrusion is greater than the thickness of the belt ring, and the first and second rolls have a pressing force between them before rolling and after the end of rolling, but no pressing force is applied to the belt ring. do.

Since an elastic body with a thickness greater than the thickness of the belt ring made of endless metal material is interposed between the first and second rolls, there is a gap between the two rolls before and after rolling by the first and second rolls. Although there is a pressing force, no pressing force is applied to the belt ring.

Even when tension is applied by a roll and a tension roll, by moving the drive roll, the first roll and the second roll are brought into pressure contact through the elastic body, and the first roll is attached to the outer periphery of the first roll. It can be held down by a drive roll and a second roll that are arranged. Therefore, while the belt ring interposed between the first and second rolls is not pressurized by these rolls, tension can be applied to the belt ring by the tension roll.

The driving rolls 6 and 7 also provide backup for the first roll 1. A circumferential groove 6a is formed on the circumferential surface of the drive roll 6 to avoid contact between the belt ring W and the drive roll 6, and the circumferential groove 6a maintains the center distance between the first roll 1 and the tension roll 5. The inner circumferential length of the belt ring W can be easily measured by making it possible to measure on a straight line. The circumferential groove 6a allows the first roll 1 and the drive roll 6 to contact each other at the illustrated contact points G at both ends in the axial direction, and a circumferential groove 7a is also formed on the circumferential surface of the drive roll 7. The first roll 1 and the driving roll 7 are as follows.
They are arranged to contact each other at the illustrated contact point F at both ends in the axial direction.

The belt ring W is rolled at the rolling position E by the received first roll 1 (FIG. 3). The elastic body 8 of the second roll 2 is deformed between it and the first roll 1, but the second roll 2 is moved by the drive rolls 3 and 4 to such an extent that the second roll 2 does not come into contact with the belt ring W.
The roll 2 is rolled down (Fig. 2). As a result, the first roll 1 is rolled down by the second roll 2 via the elastic body 8, and the first roll 1 is supported by the drive rolls 6 and 7 on the lower side, and the first roll 1
Since the position of W is fixed, move the tension roll 5 in the direction of arrow A in this state and tighten
Tension can be applied to. Since the belt ring W and the second roll 2 are not in contact with each other, the position of the belt ring W on the first roll 1 can be adjusted freely.

Here, the belt ring W is not subjected to the rolling force of the second roll 2, and the position of the first roll 1 is fixed as described above. Therefore, no impression is formed on the belt ring W by the second roll 2, and therefore, the circumferential length of the belt ring W does not elongate even while the tension roll 5 is being returned.

Since the center distance between the roll 1 and the tension roll 5 can be measured stably and accurately, the inner circumferential length of the endless metal belt formed by rolling can be measured with high precision (in microns). It became possible.

In order to avoid the elastic body 8 of the first roll 1, the elastic body 8 is attached to the first roll 1. The width of the circumferential groove 7a is increased by increasing the length of the drive roll 7 (the same applies to the drive roll 6) that is in contact with the drive roll 1. In this way, the elastic body 8 may be provided on either the first roll 1 or the second roll 2, but it is not excluded that the elastic body 8 is provided on both.

As explained above, according to the present invention, although the elastic body applies a pressing force between the first and second rolls before and after rolling, the pressing force is applied to the belt ring. do not. For this reason, even when tension is applied to or released from the belt ring, it is necessary to adjust the tension of the belt ring with a tension roll, correct the position of the belt ring, and furthermore, while the belt ring is not pressurized. It has also become possible to precisely measure endless metal belts after rolling, making various operations before and after rolling easier.

製品の歩留りが向上するという効果もある。 Further, when the belt ring reaches the target length by rolling and the rotation of the first and second rolls is stopped, the interval between the first and second rolls is widened and the two are pressed into contact with each other through an elastic body. Since the belt ring is not pressurized by keeping the belt ring in this state, no indentation scratches are formed on the rolled metal endless belt, and in conjunction with the above-mentioned precision measurement,
This also has the effect of improving product yield.
