DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an automatic document feeder that can sequentially feed a copy document one step at a time using a movable body. Conventionally, on the document placement plate (contact glass) of a reflective copying machine, there have been two types: a composite document creation mask (overlay mask) in which common items such as slips are written and individual item entry fields are used as windows; Superimpose the list of items, make a copy so that the window and the specific individual item in the list are facing each other, then move either the mask or the list to make a copy between the window and the specific item in the list. A method is already known in which a desired composite copy of a slip or the like is continuously obtained by copying other individual items facing each other and repeating the same operations as described above. An automatic document feeder for continuous composite copying uses reference marks to set the correct step-feeding distance for the document carrier that stores list documents. The reference scale has a pitch smaller than the distance from one row line to the next row line, and the arbitrary pitch scale has an arbitrary mark of a predetermined width set at a pitch corresponding to the line spacing of an arbitrary list document. , an automatic document feeder (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 12934/1983) which creates a line feed interval that cannot be obtained from a standard scale based on an arbitrary pitch scale and feeds the document carrier one step at a time in synchronization with the exposure operation of a copying machine. Are known. However, this feeding device can only feed in stages in one direction, that is, it can only feed by the value set by selecting the number of pitches, and cannot feed in steps in the opposite direction, and can only return to the home position at any time. It was hot. In recent years, a wide variety of copying machines have been developed.
Reference position for placing the original on the contact glass (position where the image position of the original corresponds correctly to the image position of the copy when the original is placed on the contact glass and copied onto copy paper of the corresponding size) ) often differ depending on the model. For example, when the document placement reference position is on the contact glass as seen from the operator, the left edge of the contact glass, the left edge and front edge of the contact glass, the right edge of the contact glass, the right edge and the hand edge. Various types are available, such as those at the front end or the rear end. Furthermore, depending on the copying machine, when copied copy sheets or transfer sheets are stored one after another on a tray, there are two types: one type where the copy paper or transfer paper is stored with the copy side facing up, and the other type where the copy paper is stored with the copy side facing down. , the copied order and the stored order may be reversed. A feeding device that can only feed steps in one direction, such as the one in JP-A-55-12934, can only be used exclusively for either the left or right side as seen from the operator, and has two types: one for the left side and one for the right side. type feeder is required, and at the same time, if you want to switch between feeding from the beginning of a line or feeding from the end of a line, the feeder can only be used in one direction, so the top and bottom of the list document cannot be adjusted. It was necessary to use it by setting it in the opposite direction, and it was very difficult to operate. Therefore, it is desirable to be able to feed lines from either the front side or the rear side of the automatic document feeder, so that the copying stock order of the copying machine and the copying order can be made the same. This means that the home position of the automatic document feeder can be changed from one end of the reference pitch scale to the other end. However, with conventional automatic document feeders, when using an arbitrary pitch scale,
Although the home position at one end of the arbitrary pitch scale matches the home position of the reference pitch scale, the home position at the other end does not match the home position of the reference pitch scale. If even one feed pitch does not match, there is a problem because the feed line spacing will not match the overlay mask. An object of the present invention is to make the home position positions of the arbitrary pitch scale and the reference pitch scale the same regardless of whether the front side or the rear side of the automatic document feeder is used as the home position. The purpose is to prevent pitch errors. Another object of the present invention is to eliminate overhang of the carrier bracket from the automatic document feeder on the side where the home position has been changed. The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the illustrated embodiments. FIG. 1 shows the appearance of an automatic document feeder according to the present invention, in which a carrier bracket 2 protrudes from the lower side of a casing 1. As shown in FIG. This carrier bracket 2 is moved one step at a time in the direction of arrow A from the home position indicated by the solid line in order to move the document carrier 34 shown in FIG. 3 by steps relative to the overlay mask 43 (FIG. 4). It is becoming possible to do so. A display panel 30 is attached to the top surface of the casing 1, and inside the display panel 30 there are provided a feed width selection switch 3 (SW6), a line feed switch 4 (SW7), and a return switch 5 (SW8) as a home position return switch. ) is provided in the area outside the display panel, and a power switch 6,
A power indicator lamp 7 and a portable handle 8 are provided. When the power switch 6 is turned on, the power indicator lamp 7 lights up and at the same time the carrier bracket 2 is set to the home position. When line feed switch 4 is pressed, carrier bracket 2 moves to arrow A.
The line is advanced by one line in the direction, and each time the line feed switch 4 is pressed, the line is advanced by one line. By pressing the return switch 5, the carrier bracket 2 is returned to its home position, no matter where it is, and returns to its initial state. The feed width selection switch 3 is a switch for selecting the feed amount for one line of the carrier bracket 2, and selects and sets several feed target values that are preset (settings will be explained in detail later) regarding the feed amount. It is for. This is because there are several types of manuscripts with different line spacing. 2 to 4, the original carrier 34 is comprised of a frame 38, a pressure plate 39, and a transparent sheet 40, and an original 41 is set between the pressure plate 39 and the transparent sheet 40. A translucent material is used for the pressure plate 39 so that the position of the document can be easily determined even from above the pressure plate. The document carrier 34 has two pins 76 and 77 for carrier setting provided on the carrier bracket 2 of the automatic document feeder.
and 2 provided on the carrier frame 38.
Two frame holes 75 or 78 are set as shown in FIG. 2, and the carrier 34 is moved by movement of the carrier bracket 2. In the example shown in FIG. 3, two windows 43A and 43B are provided in the overlay mask 43 so that two lines can be copied at the same time, thereby making it possible to simultaneously produce two copies of a composite copy slip. For this purpose, the window holes 43A, 43B are provided apart by an integral multiple of the row spacing. That is, for the list manuscript 41 where the line spacing is a multiple of an arbitrary number n, there are 2n
If you use one line and send it by [n-1] lines, you can copy all 2n lines. A mask plate 44 has a complementary shape to the overlay 43 and covers the contact glass 46 together with the overlay 43. The mask plate 44 is set on the contact glass 46, and the automatic document feeder is set at a predetermined position on the mask plate. The notch in which the overlay mask 43 is set in the notch of the mask plate 44 and the overlay 43 have the same shape and can be easily aligned. In addition, a direction alignment convex portion is provided on the overlay 43, and conversely, the mask plate 4
4 may be provided with an orientation cutout to prevent incorrect orientation when setting the overlay on the mask plate. This is to prevent overlays and originals from being set in the wrong direction, since they are set facing downwards. FIG. 4 shows a sectional view of the automatic document feeder installed in a reflective exposure copying machine. The reflection exposure copying machine shown in this figure has a slit scanning type exposure device.
The first mirror 48, the reflection plate 49, and the exposure lamp 50 move in the scanning direction, and the second mirror 51 moves by half the amount of movement of the first mirror, so that the lens 53
A photoreceptor (not shown) is exposed to light so that the optical distance from the photoreceptor to the document surface is kept constant. Generally, in such an exposure apparatus, the lamp 50 is turned on only during exposure, and is turned off during non-exposure.
Since wasteful power consumption is prevented, the method of interlocking with the copying operation is to detect the blinking of the exposure lamp 50, treat the number of blinks as the number of copies to be made by the copying machine, and link the automatic document feeder. This is the cheapest method, and copying machines of the same type can be easily linked. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 4, the light from the exposure optical system located under the document placement glass 4 of the copying machine can be detected at the end of exposure of the document, for example, when the exposure optical system returns. In order to do this, a lighting window 9a and a reflector 31 are provided on the bottom plate 9 of the casing of the feeding device, and a lighting window 45 is provided on the mask plate 44.
(FIG. 3) is provided, and the light from the exposure lamp 50 that has reached the exposure end position enters the exposure sensor 29 for detecting the end of exposure through both the lighting windows 9a and 45. Note that even without flashing, the exposure optical system scans the exposure sensor 29.
If the amount of light that enters changes, it is possible to link them. The stage feed of the document carrier 34 is performed using the exposure lamp 5.
It is sufficient to complete the process by the time 0 goes out and the next exposure starts. In addition, if you want to obtain multiple copies of each row, after completing the exposure for the number of copies required,
All that is required is to advance the document carrier 34 step by step. The second position is the position where the document carrier 34 is advanced one line.
Indicated by a dashed line in the figure. FIG. 5 shows the internal configuration of the feeding device. Two guide rods 12 and 13 are located between the side plates 10 and 11 at both ends of the casing bottom plate 9.
are installed in parallel. The above-mentioned carrier bracket 2 is movably supported on this guide rod,
An idle pulley 21 is provided at the rear of the carrier bracket 2. When a voltage is applied to the DC motor M, the motor shaft rotates, the first gear G1 mounted on the shaft rotates, and the second gear G sequentially rotates.
2, third gear G3, fourth gear G4, fifth gear G5, and pulley gear 14, and the drive pulley 15 is rotated. Drive pulley 1
A steel wire 28 is wound around 5 and is fixed to the side plate 10 via a tension pulley 16 and an idle pulley 21 of the wire. The other end of the wire 28 is fixed to the side plate 11 via the idle pulley 21. Further, in order to prevent the wire 28 from becoming loose and coming off, a force is applied to the tension pulley 16 in an outward direction by a tension spring 17 and a tension lever 18 in order to apply an appropriate tension. As a result of the above, the idle pulley 21 is moved by half the amount of movement of the wire 28 based on the pulley principle. When the idle pulley 21 tries to move, the shaft of the idle pulley 21 is attached to the carrier bracket 2, so the carrier bracket 2 is moved. The direction of movement of the carrier bracket 2 can be determined by the direction of the voltage applied to the DC motor M. A light receiving section 22 and a light source section 23, which constitute a detection head 20 for detecting the position of the carrier bracket, are arranged facing each other on the carrier bracket 2, and a digital scale 19 is passed between them. The digital scale 19 consists of a film hooked at both ends to the side plates 10 and 11, with bright and dark marks attached thereto for detecting positional information or the amount of movement of the carrier bracket 2. As can be seen from FIGS. 5 and 15, the film is provided with a plurality of tracks 25 and 26 in its width direction, and one of them, for example, the first track 25, is used to determine the one-stage feed distance. It has a digital scale (reference pitch scale) with a finer pitch than the one-line interval of the list 41 shown in FIG. In this example, the mark line 73 is formed by alternately arranging dark portions 73a and bright portions 73b of a constant width. In this case, marks, that is, dark areas 73a are attached at equal pitches, and the length P1 of the marks is 1/2 of the pitch P2 of the marks. Also, one end of the mark line 73 has no mark, and the opposite end has a continuous mark 73c, which is used for side detection when the carrier is at the end. The other second track 26 is an auxiliary track, and the mark 71a of the mark line 71 provided here is a mark line (arbitrary Pitch scale). In this example, only one type of mark line (one track) can be arbitrarily set, but the number of mark lines can be increased as needed. The detection head is provided with photoelectric detectors 68 and 70 for detecting marks at positions corresponding to the first and second tracks, respectively. That is, the light source section 23 includes the light emitting elements LED1 and LED as light sources.
3 (FIG. 18), the light receiving section 22 is provided with photo sensors S1 and S3, and the track 2
For 5, the above light emitting-light receiving element pair LED1-S
In addition to 1, a second photoelectric detector 69, that is, a light emitting-light receiving element pair (LED2-S2) is provided. That is, as for the mark detection sensors, S1 and S2 are sensors for detecting equally spaced pitches, and S3 is arbitrarily set, and is used for detecting attached marks.
Further, the interval between the sensors S1 and S2 is an interval obtained by adding 1/4 or 3/4 of the pitch P2 to an integral multiple of the pitch P2 of the mark 73a. This is sensor S1 and S2
This is to ensure that the signals (Fig. 17) are generated with a phase angle of 90°. This is done in order to detect the moving direction of the carrier bracket 2, and is a common method when using a digital scale. The signals detected by the photo sensors S1 to S3 are sent to the control section (FIG. 18) by the flexible printed board 24. Based on this signal, the control unit controls the switching of the direction of energization to ON and OFF of the DC motor M, thereby controlling the movement of the carrier bracket 2. The above is a basic explanation of the automatic document feeder. The unique features of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to FIGS. 6 to 23. The basic operation is as described above. A home position changeover switch 31 (SW5) is added in order to switch the feeding direction so that line feeding can be done from either the front side or the rear side, that is, to change the home position position.
Among the switching positions of this switch 31, an example of line feeding from the front to the rear side is shown in FIG. 6, and an example of line feeding from the rear side to the near side is shown in FIG. By adding this switch, it is possible to easily switch between copying from the bottom row of the document and copying from the top row. Next, the display panel 30 can be removed from the top surface of the casing using screws 32, as shown in FIG. 8, for example. A display panel 30a (FIG. 8) for use on the left and a display panel 30b (FIG. 9) for use on the right are prepared in advance to enable panel conversion. This is to ensure that no inconvenience occurs when one automatic document feeder is set on either the right or left side of the contact glass. FIG. 10 shows an example of use when the automatic document feeder is placed on the left side, and FIG. 11 is an example of use when it is placed on the right side. Due to the presence of the home position switch, it is possible to feed from the front and from the rear, regardless of whether the feeding device is placed on the left or right side. In FIG. 11 placed on the right side, the display panel 30b for use on the right side is placed on the left side.
In FIG. 0, a display panel 30a for use when placed on the left is used. Although it is not necessary to prepare a display panel 30 for the right side and for the left side, it has become necessary to prevent operational errors caused by reading characters backwards. Lay out the switches on the operation panel in appropriate positions so that the holes for the switches on the display panel are symmetrical, front to back, or left and right. Displays for the left and right sides on the front and back of one display panel, respectively. If you do
A single display panel can be used for both purposes, reducing costs. In this embodiment, the hole positions of the operation panel are made symmetrical with respect to the mounting screw 32 of the operation panel of the automatic document feeder as the center, and there is an indication on the front side that the operation panel should be placed on the left side with respect to the copying machine, and on the back side. The display is designed to be used when placed on the right side of the screen, so that a single display panel can be used for both the left and right sides. In an automatic document feeder that performs line feeding as described above, in which both sides of the device can be used as the home position, if the opposite side is set as the home position, the carrier bracket 2 will not come out of the automatic document feeder. There is an overhang,
When attaching the automatic document feeder to a copying machine, jamming sometimes occurred. Therefore, when the home position of the document carrier bracket is changed, by changing the mounting position of the bracket 2, the overhang of the carrier bracket 2 from the document feeder is eliminated, which makes installation in the copying machine easier. At the same time, it requires less storage space. This overhang will be explained next. FIG. 12 shows an example in which the carrier bracket 2 of the automatic document feeder is moved from the home position 61 to the opposite end (limit position 62). Assuming that the length of the carrier bracket is L2, the length of the automatic document feeder is L1, and the total amount of movement of the carrier bracket is L3, the space length L4 required to move the carrier bracket is calculated by adding L2 to L3. However, this space length L4 exceeds the length L1 of the automatic document feeder. Originally, this type of automatic document feeder was installed as an auxiliary device (optional unit) in a copying machine for general documents, so it needed to be made compact for easy handling. It needs to be made as large as possible. By maximum, most of the ledgers, lists, slips, etc. used in offices are A4 size, and larger manuscripts take up space for storage, so they are not used much, so minimum is A4 size. The amount of movement. Furthermore, if the length L2 of the carrier bracket 2 is shortened, the stage feeding accuracy will be affected depending on the configuration of the means for attaching the document carrier 34. For example, as explained in FIGS. 2 and 3, the pin 77 provided on the carrier bracket 2
In the configuration in which the carrier is set in the automatic document feeder by fitting the frame hole 78 to the frame hole 78 and the frame hole 78 to the pin 76, there is a play between the pin and the hole in order to improve the ease of attaching and detaching the carrier. If the document carrier 34 moves the bracket 2 in stages due to the play between the carrier bracket 2 and the frame 38,
This is undesirable since it may cause a phenomenon in which the paper is not sent accurately. As described above, since a certain length of L2 is required, the overhang that occurs when the document is fed to the moving end, that is, the length L5 that the carrier bracket 2 overhangs from the automatic document feeder cannot be avoided to some extent. If there is an overhang, a problem will arise if you change the home position, or if you change from left to right placement, the overhang position becomes the home position and the overhang remains. , the user has to attach and detach the copying machine to and from the copying machine, resulting in poor operability. Furthermore, a situation may occur in which the automatic document feeder cannot be set because it hits another unit set in the copying machine, and a mechanism for preventing this is required. FIG. 13 shows a configuration example for eliminating this overhang, in which the carrier bracket 2 is divided into two points, a carrier bracket hook portion 64 and a carrier bracket slider portion B65, and the two divided points are By connecting them with mounting screws 63, they function in the same way as the carrier bracket 2. For this purpose, the carrier bracket hook part 64 is provided with two screw holes 66 and two screw holes 67, depending on whether the home position is the automatic document feeder.
By selecting the location where the carrier bracket hook part 64 and the carrier bracket slider part 65 are connected, that is, by selecting and using one of the screw holes 66 and 67, overhang of the carrier bracket at the home position can be eliminated. I can do it. For example, in the example shown in Figure 12, if the upper side is the home position of the carrier bracket, the carrier bracket will overhang by L5.
In order to eliminate this overhang, the mounting position of the carrier bracket hook portion 64 may be changed from the screw hole 66 to the screw hole 67 as in the example shown in FIG. In short, in an automatic document feeder that performs line feeding and in which both sides of the device can be used as the home position, the hook part of the bracket of the document carrier and the slider part of the bracket are separated.
The screw fixing position can be changed so that there is no overhang at the home position position from the carrier bracket feeding device which occurs when the home position is changed. As a result, even if the home position of the document carrier bracket is changed, there is no overhang of the carrier bracket from the document feeder due to changing the mounting position, and at the same time, it is easy to install the document carrier in the copying machine. Requires less storage space. FIG. 18 is a block diagram of the control section of the feeding device according to the present invention, in which a microcomputer is used. In this embodiment, the CPU used is 8085 developed by Intel Corporation. Programs for the system are non-volatile memory. EPROM
Writing to the 2716, the I/0 RAM uses Intel's 8156, which is the same chip, and the 8212 is used as the address latch for the 2716. The reset circuit and power supply circuit are omitted.
Sensors S1 to S are connected to ports PA3 to PAO/ of 8156.
3 and 29 are connected. SW1 to SW4 are feed width setting switches, SW9 is an automatic return line number setting switch, and SW10 is an exposure number setting switch, each of which functions as an encoder for ports PC3 to O/. Port PA4 has a feed width selection switch 3 for selecting one of these encoders.
(SW6) common contact is connected. port
PA5 has automatic return line number setting switch SW9
However, there is an exposure number setting switch SW in port PA6.
10 are connected. Also ports PB4, PB5
A line advance switch 4 (SW7) and a return switch 5 (SW8) are connected to the port PC5, and a home position changeover switch 31 (SW5) is connected to the port PC5. Outputs of sensors S1 and S2 among sensors S1 to S3 and 29 are output from inverters IC8 and IC9.
After passing through the inverters IC6 and IC7, the signals are further inverted and applied to the first and second input terminals of the NAND gate IC5 through differentiating circuits, and are also directly passed through the differentiating circuit without being inverted.
It is applied to the third and fourth input terminals of the NAND gate IC5. This 4-input NAND gate IC5
The output terminal is connected to the CPU's interrupt input terminal RST7.5. S1', S2', and S3' in FIG. 17 correspond to the output signals of sensor S1, sensor S2, and sensor S3, respectively. In the transparent part of the digital scale, sensors S1 to S3 consisting of phototransistors are energized and the output is taken out from the resistor between GND and emitter, and the waveform is shaped and inverted by inverters IC8 to IC11, so the input to the I/0 port is
It becomes LOW level. If there is an opaque area, it becomes Hi level. S4 is a signal generated at the output terminal of the NAND gate IC5 at the rise and fall of the S1' and S2' signals, and is used as a signal for requesting interrupt processing of the CPU. Each of the above differential circuits shown in FIG. 18 includes capacitors C1 to C4, resistors R1 to R4, and diodes D1 to
D4, resistors R1 to R4 are connected to the power supply VCC, and the output of the differentiating circuit is always at Hi level, only at the moment when the input of the differentiating circuit goes to Low level.
It is set to LOW level. The values of the resistor and capacitor are appropriately set so that the time required for this LOW level does not exceed 1/8 of one wavelength of S1 and S2 in FIG. Due to the above, 4 gates
The output of the NAND circuit IC5 is shown in FIG.
A pulse signal is generated at both the rise and fall of 2'. D1 to D4 are the input signals of the differential circuit.
When returning to Hi level, the charge of the differential capacitor and the output of the inverter are connected to VCC
This is to prevent a potential that exceeds 100% from being applied to the gate of the NAND circuit. Note that the following counters are provided as data in the RAM. SO/C...Counter that is incremented when the signal S1 and S2 rise and fall SIC...Counter that is incremented when the signal S1' rises and falls S2C...Counter that is incremented when the signal S2' rises and falls S3C... Counter incremented when signal S3' rises Next, a method of controlling this automatic document feeder will be explained. Figure 19 shows the main routine, and the subroutines defined in it, ``initial settings,'' ``home position set,'' and ``line feed,'' are shown in Figure 20.
These are shown in FIGS. 21 and 22, respectively. Initial Setting Although it is omitted in the circuit diagram of Fig. 18, when the power switch 6 (Fig. 8) is turned on, the reset circuit is activated, and at the same time the CPV is reset to RESET IN, the CPV reset OVT signal is activated. by I/0
Device is reset. The CPV reset input signal is reset to LOW level, and at the same time as it becomes HIGH level, the program is executed from address 0. When a program is executed from address 0, the first
At step 2.0 in Figure 9, the subroutine "initialization" (Figure 20) is called, and the flags, counter data, and contents of the RAM to be used are cleared (step 2.1 ). This clearing means writing necessary data, but does not indicate that it should be set to O/H or FFH. Next, since the 8156 is a programmable I/0, the port mode is set (step 2.2 ). In the circuit example of FIG. 18, port A is set to output, and ports B and C are set to input. Home Position Setting Next, the subroutine "Home Position" (FIG. 21) is called for the purpose of setting the carrier bracket 2 at the home position (step 3.0 ). To set to the home position, in order to check whether the home position is specified to the left or right, port PC5 is specified and it is checked whether the home position changeover switch SW5 is ON (step 3.10 ). If SW5 is open, the input of inverter IC12 is set to Hi level by pull-up resistor R11, so the IC
The output of inverter 12 becomes LOW level and IC
The input data of port PC5 of No. 4 becomes LOW level. Moreover, if SW5 is closed, the input data of port PC5 of IC4 becomes Hi level. Therefore, by checking the port PC5 of the IC4, it can be determined whether the home position changeover switch SW5 is set to the "right" or "left" direction. The home position flag is set according to the set direction (steps 3.11 and 3.21 ). For the home position flag, determine the left and right data and write them to a suitable RAM address. Then the same step
In 3.11 and 3.21 , the data of counter S1C and the data of S2C of the input signal of sensor S1 are also
Since it is in RAM, the contents of the addresses corresponding to the data of S1C and S2C are made O/H. Next, the motor M is energized to set the carrier bracket 2 at the home position.
As shown in FIG. 18, the motor drive circuit can rotate the motor M in the forward and reverse directions by energizing the transistors Tr1 and Tr4 or Tr3 and Tr2, and can control the rotational speed by changing the energization angle. It is also becoming possible to do so. Therefore, the transistors Tr1 and Tr4 or Tr3 and Tr2 are turned on so that they are in the rotational direction in which they should be moved toward the home position (step 3.13 ,
3.23). In FIG. 18, it is sufficient to set the pitch of each corresponding port A to Hi level. When the motor M becomes energized and the carrier bracket moves due to the rotation of the motor, signals S1',
S2' and S3' occur. As already mentioned, by sensors S1 and S2
The pulse signal generated in NAND gate IC5 is S
4, which is used as an interrupt processing signal input to the RST7.5 input terminal of the CPV.
In the interrupt processing of RST7.5, there is a counter SO/C that counts the pulses processed by the interrupt, and a counter S1C that counts the interrupt processing generated by S1.
There is a counter S2C that counts the number of interrupts processed by S2, and as already mentioned,
It is stored as data in RAM. These counting flowcharts are as shown in FIG. 23, and will not be particularly explained. Next, it is checked whether the difference between counters S1C and S2C exceeds 2 (steps 3.14 and 3.24 ).
The carrier bracket 2 is moved to the home position, but if the carrier bracket 2 is moved to the home position Z1 or Z2.
(FIG. 17), there is no change in the level of S1' or S2'. Therefore, the difference between counters S1C and S2C exceeds 2. S1C and S2C
If the difference between the two becomes 2 or more, proceed to steps 3.18 and 3.28 , and select the signal S2' whose level no longer changes.
Or check the level of S1'. When the home position is "right", that is, Z1 in Fig. 17, the signal S
2' should be Hi level, and if the home position is "left", that is, Z2 in FIG. 17, the signal S1'
should be at LOW level. After confirming this,
In order to reverse the motor M, transistors Tr1,
Turn off Tr4 and turn on Tr2 and Tr3 (steps 3.19 and 3.29 ). After the motor M is reversed, the position where the level of the signal S1' or S2', which has no longer changed, has returned to the point where the level changes is determined as the home position (step 3.20 ).
3.30). Each counter, row counter SO/C, S1C,
Clear S2C and S3C to O/H and stop energizing motor M (steps 3.31 and 3.32 ). Incidentally, if the carrier bracket 2 is at the mechanical limit position on the home position side from the beginning, the carrier bracket does not move, and the signals S1' and S2' are not generated, so that the position cannot be detected. Therefore, by providing a loop counter and checking whether the carrier bracket has not moved for a certain period of time, it is detected that the carrier bracket is at the home position where it does not move (steps 3.12 , 3.15 to 3.15 ).
3.17; 3.22 , 3.25-3.27 ) . Through the above steps, the carrier bracket is set at the home position. Next, the manual return switch SW8 of the CPU
Check whether it is turned on (step 4.1 ). If NO, check whether the home position has been changed (step 4.2 ). If it has not been changed, next check whether the manual line feed switch SW7 has been turned on (step 4.3 ). If NO, the process advances to a copy exposure end check (step 4.4 ), and if YES, the process immediately advances to step 5.0 to begin the line feed operation. Exposure Once the home position is set, the original is set and the copier is set to copy mode. When the copying machine enters the exposure state, the light from the exposure lamp does not hit the exposure sensor 29, and the input signal at port PBO/ becomes LOW.
When the level reaches the level and the exposure is completed, the exposure lamp goes out and the sensor 29 is no longer exposed to light, and the port PBO/
When the input signal becomes Hi level, the copy is 1
You can see that the image has been executed (Step 4.4 ). Next, when one sheet is copied, a counter indicating the number of exposures is incremented. This counter is referred to as an exposure counter. It is checked whether the value of this exposure counter matches the contents of the exposure number setting switch SW10 (step 4.5 ). In this case the switch
SW1 to 4, SW9, and SW10 are a diode matrix, and by setting any one of ports PA4, 5, or 6 to a high level, SW1 to 4, SW9, and
The contents of SW10 can be read at port PCO/~3. Also, the feed width setting switches for SW1 to SW4 are
It is selected and used by SW6's feed width selection switch. The contents of the exposure number setting switch SW10 are as follows:
It can be read by setting PA6 to Hi level. When the number of exposures matches the contents of the exposure setting SW10, the process advances to step 5.0 to perform line feed, and calls the subroutine ``line feed'' in FIG. 22. Line feed To find out what feed width is preset by the feed width selection switch SW6, try setting port PA4 to Hi level. Port PC4
Check whether the scale is LOW, that is, whether the scale of track 25 or 26 is selected (step 5.1 ). If port PC4 is at LOW level and the reference scale (track 25) is selected, specify port PCO/~3,
Feed width setting switch SW1~ selected with SW6
Read the contents of SW4 (feed width) (step
5.2), line feed is performed based on the signals of sensors S1 and S2. On the other hand, when the port PC4 is at Hi level and the digital scale of the second track 26 is selected, line feeding is performed by the signal from the sensor S3. Check the home position flag and turn on the motor drive circuit (steps 5.3 , 5.4 , 5.5 ). In the case of the standard scale (track 25), when the contents of counter SO/C increase by a predetermined number of pitches (steps 5.6 to
5.8), and in the case of an arbitrary scale (track 26), when the contents of counter S3C increases by +1 (steps 5.9 and 5.10 ), the motor is stopped (step
5.11) Increment the row counter (step 5.12 ). This completes the step-feeding for one line. When a line feed is performed, a line feed is performed in which the line is exposed again and the line waits for the set number of exposures to be performed (steps 4.4 , 4.5 , and 5.0 ). 1st
The same number of lines as the number set by the automatic return line number setting switch SW9 in Figure 8 is sent (step
6.1) reaches the opposite side end (step 6.2 ), the carrier bracket is returned to the home position. By the way, when using the digital scale of the second track 26 in FIG. 15, that is, the arbitrary mark line 71, conventionally the carrier bracket 2 is always set at the home position Z2 by the sensor S1, and then the carrier bracket 2 is set at the same position as the sensor S1. sensor S
3, an arbitrarily set mark 71a is detected and sent. This is truck 2
This is to prevent the home position from changing regardless of which scale, 5 or 26, is selected. However, if configured to send from the opposite direction (15th
In the example shown in the figure, when feeding from the right side), sensor S2 is set to home position Z1.
3, it is necessary to send it to the next mark 71a.
However, if the marks 71a are simply placed at equal intervals P3 in the positive direction (from left to right in the example of Fig. 15),
If an attempt is made to use that mark from the opposite direction, the first feed pitch in the example of FIG. 15 becomes L7, which does not match the feed pitch P3. However, it is only the first pitch that does not match, and the subsequent pitches are normal. However, if even one feed pitch does not match, the line will not match the overlay 43, which is a problem. The example shown in FIG. 16 attempts to solve this problem. In the example shown in Fig. 16, even if the left or right side is used as the home position and the mark 72a, which is an arbitrary pitch mark, is used, the same pitch can be obtained. can. Mark 72
The length of a is L10, the scale length of the mark line 73 which is a reference scale is L8, the arbitrarily set feed pitch is P3, the interval between sensors S1 and S2 is L6, and the arbitrarily set feed pitch is
If the distance based on the total number of feed lines of P3 is L9,
This can be implemented by satisfying the following requirements.
(The total number of lines to be moved is the value obtained by subtracting one line from the number of lines to be copied. This is because one line can be copied without performing any line feeds while remaining in the home position.) L9=P3 ×(n-1) n=number of lines to be copied L8=L9+L6+P+L10 ∵L10=L8-L9-L6-P3 The mark length L10 should be set as shown in the above formula. With this marking method, the home positions of both the arbitrary mark and the reference scale mark can be matched on both sides.
