Claims (1)
- 永久磁石３などの磁力源の両端に設けた磁極片
４を軸１などの相手部材に近接させ、前記磁極片
４と相手部材の間に形成される間隙５に磁性流体
６を磁力によつて介在させてなる磁性流体シール
装置において、前記磁性流体６の加熱および冷却
の双方に用いられる電子冷却素子８と、前記電子
冷却素子８に電流を供給する可変直流電源１４と
、前記可変直流電源１４から前記電子冷却素子８
へ供給される電流の通電および遮断を行なうリレ
ー式開閉スイツチ１５と、前記可変直流電源１４
から前記電子冷却素子８へ供給される電流の向き
を切り換えるリレー式切換スイツチ１６と、前記
相手部材の回転の有無を検出する回転センサ１７
と、前記相手部材の回転停止持続時間を検出する
タイムセンサ１８と、前記磁性流体６の温度を検
出する温度センサ１９と、前記回転センサ１７、
タイムセンサ１８および温度センサ１９の検出信
号に応じて前記リレー式開閉スイツチ１５および
リレー式切換スイツチ１６の作動を制御するとと
もに前記可変直流電源１４から供給される電流値
を制御する制御装置２０と、を備えてなることを
特徴とする磁性流体シール装置。
