When providing information such as the degree of road congestion, the same alignment as the road is displayed on the panel, and for example, when a traffic congestion occurs, the part of the alignment corresponding to the congested road changes color. It is very easy to understand if this is displayed. FIG. 1 shows a graphic panel adapted to provide such a linear display. In the figure, 1 is a panel body, and 2 is a display section. The display section 2 is made of a translucent plate material such as an acrylic plate, and is fitted into a linear groove formed in the display panel 3. A display device is attached to the back surface 4 of the display panel 3 in parallel to the display section 2, and the display section 2 is illuminated by this display device.

Note that the illumination surface 12 is formed in a hemispherical shape similarly to the illumination surface 7 described above. Reference numeral 13 denotes a mounting member for mounting the printed circuit board 10 to the panel body 1. The mounting member 13 is provided with one or more slits, and the mounting member 13 is attached to the printed circuit board 10 by holding the printed circuit board 10 between the slits. The printed circuit board 10 is attached to the panel body 1 by attaching attachment members 13 at predetermined intervals and fixing the attachment members 13 to the back surface 4 of the panel 3 along the display section 2. Thereby, the illumination surface 12 is positioned facing the display section 2. The plurality of printed circuit boards 10 are successively attached to the panel body 1 using the attachment members 13, so that the light emitting diodes 11 are attached over the entire area of the display section 2. For example, if both the upper and lower lanes are to be displayed using a single display section 2, two slits may be provided in the mounting member 13 to display the parallel lanes, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. Two printed circuit boards 10 are held by the same mounting member 13, and this mounting member 13 is attached to the panel body 1. still,
14 is a partition plate that separates both lanes.

It is necessary to manufacture several types of printed circuit boards 5 with different shapes, resulting in high component costs. Further, since it is necessary to individually attach the light emitting diodes 6 to the printed circuit boards 5 of various shapes, a large number of installation steps are required.

The printed circuit board 10 is required to have a certain length to which a predetermined number of light emitting diodes 10 can be attached in view of workability. Adjustment of the mutual positional relationship of the substrates 10 has become complicated. Further, the arrangement pitch of the light emitting diodes 11 with respect to the display section 2 is different when the surface side holding the light emitting diodes 11 is bent inward and when it is bent outward, resulting in uneven light on the display section 2. Furthermore, the printed circuit board 10
must have flexibility, and its plate thickness is made thin. Therefore, the printed circuit board 10 may meander due to expansion of the printed circuit board 10 due to temperature and humidity and deflection due to the printed circuit board 10's own weight. In some cases, the printed circuit boards 10 may come into contact with each other, resulting in an electrical short circuit.

た。 Furthermore, in both of the above display devices, the light emitting diode 6 or 11 is simply spherical;
As shown in FIG. 6, even when the light emitting diode 6 is ideally attached to the display section 2, there is a wide area 16 in the display section 2 that is difficult to be irradiated with light by the light emitting diode 6. In the display section 2, sharp unevenness of light occurred. Therefore, in order to uniformly irradiate the display section 2 with light, it is necessary to attach the light emitting diode 6 with a distance between the display section 2 and the light emitting diode 6 that is sufficient to diffuse the light. However, in this case, the display section 2
Since the brightness of the light emitting diode 6 decreases, it is necessary to use a high-brightness light emitting diode 6, which increases power consumption. The overall dimensions of the panel body 1, particularly the depth, increase. 2
When classifying by color, there have been various problems such as blurred boundaries between different colors and blurred boundaries between different colors.

The present invention was developed in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional technology, and it is easy to attach to the panel body.

Therefore, in the display device of the present invention, the side surfaces of the light emitting diodes are shaped to have a convex surface projecting in an arc shape and a concave surface concave in a circular arc shape, and the convex surface of one adjacent light emitting diode and the concave surface of the other light emitting diode The above object is achieved by adopting a structure in which a plurality of light emitting diodes are arranged in series with the light emitting diodes facing each other.

are positioned so that they are facing each other. By arranging the light emitting diodes 20 in a continuous manner with the convex surface 22 and the concave surface 23 facing each other in this way, as shown in FIG. The light emitting diodes 20 can be attached to the panel body 1 continuously and along the display section 2 with almost no gaps between them. And for example,
If the convex surface 22 and the concave surface 23 are formed to have the same curvature, the convex surface 22 and the concave surface 23 can come into contact with each other without creating a gap, as if one continuous strip-shaped illumination surface were used as the display part 2. They can be formed facing each other.

The light emitting diode 20 is connected to the display section 2 and the illumination surface 24 by the magnet 28 being attracted to the back surface 4 of the panel.
are attached to the panel body 1 in a state where they face each other and are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance. In this case, display section 2
The distance between the display device and the illumination surface 24 can be made sufficiently smaller than in conventional display devices. That is, in this display device, as described above, a band-shaped illumination surface is formed opposite to the display section 2, and light can be uniformly irradiated over the entire area of the display section 2. It is from. Then, the front light surface 2 is placed on the display section 2.
4 can be mounted close to each other, for example, if two color light emitting diodes 20 are mounted on the panel body 1, the boundaries between the different colors will not be blurred, and each color will be clearly displayed on the display section 2. Can be done. Note that power is supplied to the light emitting diode 20 by connecting a connector (not shown) to the connection terminal 26.
This can be easily done by connecting the two, but other methods such as wrapping or soldering may also be used.

The illumination surface 35 formed by 1 has a U-shape. In a display device made up of the light emitting diode 30 formed in such a shape, the minimum value of the radius of curvature of a curve that can be drawn is larger than in a display device made up of the light emitting diode 20.
The connection terminal 26 can be provided on the flat surface 34, and there is an advantage in that there is flexibility in the location where the magnet 28 and other attachments are provided.

As mentioned above, the display device of the present invention can accommodate various curves of the display section by simply attaching light emitting diodes of the same shape in succession, resulting in lower component costs and fewer installation steps. Less is enough. Moreover, since the entire area of the display section can be uniformly irradiated, the light emitting diode can be mounted close to the display section, which not only reduces the installation volume but also improves the display function. Furthermore, unlike conventional display devices, the light emitting diode can be replaced individually, making maintenance and repair easy. In this way, it has various effects.
