Abstract

PURPOSE:To start a motor efficiently by storing the last stop position of the motor in a storage circuit and selecting and energizing a proper motor winding in accordance to the contents of the storage circuit for the next operation. CONSTITUTION:A storage circuit 4 for storing the last stop position of a motor is installed into a revolution controller 1. When a magnetic disc drive is energized or the revolution controller 1 receives, a speed control signal A a spindle motor 3 starts. A winding to be energized in the assigned direction of rotation is selected in accordance with the last stop positions of the windings of the spindle motor 3 stored in the storage circuit 4 mounted into the revolution controller 1 at that time. Currents are made to flow through the winding selected by the revolution controller 1 through an amplifier 2, thus efficiently starting the motor 3.

器、符@2は増幅器、符号3はスピンドルモータであり
、通常このスピンドルモータ3はホール素子などの位相
検出用センサを白画していない。このように構成された
従来のモータ駆動装置によってスピンドルモータ3を駆
動するとき、磁気ディスクVicmに電源を投入するか
、または回転制御器1にスピードコントロール信号Aが
入力されるかすると、これらに同期してスピンドルモー
タ3は回転を開始する。このとき回転制御器1によりモ
ータ3内の巻線の位置は誘起電圧などを利用して検出す
ることができるので、この回転制御器1によりモータ3
内の巻線が任意に選ばれ、増幅器2を経てモータ3内の
巻線に通電され、モータ3が駆動される。第3図は3相
モ一タ回転時の各相U、V、Wに誘起される誘起電圧波
形の一例を示すものである。
