【考案の詳細な説明】
(産業上の利用分野)
本考案に係るオイルシールは、相対的に回転運
動する2部材間に配置され、油の漏出防止のため

(従来の技術)
従来、第3図に示すようなオイルシールは、油
室B側から気体室A側への油の漏出を防止し、気

するために用いられている。従つて、気体側リツ
プ2には、軸8との摺動接触部へ侵入してきたダ
スト等を気体室A側へ押し戻す機能を持たせてお
り、油側リツプ3には、軸8との摺動接触部へ侵
入してきた油を油室B側へ押し戻す機能を持たせ
ている。そのため、使用中に、気体側リツプ2と
油側リツプ3の間の空間4内の空気が気体室A及
び油室B側へ押し出される現象を生じて、空間4
内の空気圧力が低下し、気体側リツプ2と油側リ
ツプ3が軸8に強く圧接されてリツプ摩耗が促進
されるとともに、密封機能を著しく低下させると

は気体側リツプ2と軸8の間から気体室Aへ還流
されるが、残りの油は、油側リツプ3と軸8の間
から油室B側へ送り出され、別の油に混入してし
まうという問題点を有していた。通常、オイルシ
ールで隔てられる油は異質の油が使用されること
が多いため、異質の油の混入を僅少とし、油の特

側リツプを備え、前記気体側リツプと油側リツプ

径方向内端の前記通気孔開口端の油室側から前記
気体側リツプへ向つて伸びる樋を設け、該樋に対
峙する気体側リツプの内周面に螺旋溝を形成した

グ10が設置されている。気体側リツプ2と油側
リツプ3の間には空間4が形成されており、該空
間4と気体室A側とを連通する通気孔5が環状本
体1に設けられている。環状本体1の径方向内端
には、通気孔5の開口端の油室B側から気体側リ
ツプ2の近傍へ向つて伸びる還状の樋6が設けら
れており、該樋6に対峙する気体側リツプ2の内
周面には螺旋溝7が形成されている。螺旋溝7
は、軸8が回転した場合、空間4側から気体室A
側へ油を送り出す様に形成されている。樋6は、
気体側リツプ2及び軸8との間に隙間を生じる如

る。油側リツプ3に螺旋溝を形成する場合は、気
体側リツプ2に形成された螺旋溝7を考慮して溝
