刈払機に関する。

(従来の技術およびその問題点) 従来より、芝刈りや雑草刈りなどに携帯可能な

からなつており、刃部にはもつぱら回転刃が用い
られている。回転刃としては種々のものが提案さ
れており、本願考案の考案者が先に提案した特公
昭60−4689号に記載の回転刃もその一つである。
これは、円盤状の支持部材とその周囲から略放射
状に突出する複数の刃体とを、高分子弾性体によ
り一体的に成形したものである。この回転刃によ
ると、刃体数が多いので切れ味が良く、障害物に
接触した場合でも損傷し難いという大きな利点を
有している。しかし、回転刃であるために、人体
に接触した場合の危険性は依然として残つてい
る。また、回転刃は比較的複雑な形状であるため
コストが高くつくという難点があり、刈払機のラ
ンニングコクトの上昇の原因ともなつていた。

ニングコストへの影響は低く押えることが可能で
ある。
