Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はプリンタに関し、特にインクリボン検出機構に
関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来のプリンタにはインクリボンカートリッジの有無を
検出する機構のみが装備されていた。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
上述した従来のプリンタはインクリボンカートリッジの
有無を検出するのみとなっているので、リボンがはずれ
たときの検出ができないという欠点がある。
本発明の目的は前記課題を解決したプリンタを提供する
ことにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
前記目的を達成するため、本発明に係るプリンタにおい
ては、プリンタの印字ヘッドの中央部先端近くに、イン
クリボンの有無及びインクリボンはずれを検出する反射
型光学センサを有するものである。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例を示す梢成図である。
図において、本発明は反射型光学センサｌを印字ヘッド
３の中央部先端近くに位置させたものである。
第２図は本発明の制御部のブロック図である。
印字を行なうとき、制御部４は反射型光学センサ１の信
号により、インクリボンの有無を認識する。
印字信号６を制御部４が受信したときに反射型光学セン
サ１の信号により、インクリボン２が有れば、−印字駆
動部５により印字を開始させる。インクリボン２が無け
れば、印字を行なわずアラームを出力する。又、制御部
４は印字信号を受信中、反射型光学センサ１の信号より
、リボン無しと認識すると、これをリボンはずれと判断
し、印字を中止させアラームを出力する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は印字ヘッドの中央部先端近
くに反射型光学センサを有することにより、１つのセン
サでリボンの有無とリボンはずれを検出できるという効
果がある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）プリンタの印字ヘッドの中央部先端近くに、イン
    クリボンの有無及びインクリボンはずれを検出する反射
    型光学センサを有することを特徴とするプリンタ。
