形成されるものであり、たとえば、被測者Aの湾
曲した後頭部Hを受け入れるに適した凹曲面溝7
によつて構成される。前記凹曲面溝7は、主尺柱
4の垂直測長基準線D,Lに沿つて前記主尺柱4
の全長にわたつて形成されるものであつてもよい
し、あるいは、身長計の測長範囲、すなわち被測
者の頭部が位置する長さ範囲にのみ設けたもので
あつてもよい。前記主尺柱4は、第4図に示すよ
うに、前記足踏基台2上に垂直に取付けられた支
柱部材8に対して、ヒンジ体9を介してそのヒン
ジ連結点C,Pで折りたたみ可能に連結されてい
るものであつてもよい。この場合、前記主尺柱4
は、前記支柱部材8の延長線上に起立する第1の
位置P1と、前記支柱部材8の前側面10に設け
て折りたたまれる第2の位置P2において固定支
持されるようになつている。前記第2の位置P2
は、前記第1の位置P1から、約150゜〜180゜の回動
角度範囲内にある。一方、この考案において、前
記足踏基台2および主尺柱4(第4図で示す実施
例においては支柱部材8)の前側面付根部分6a
