(Prior Art) Conventionally, a gas separation module has a structure as shown in Fig. 2.
One end 2 of the inorganic porous membrane hollow fiber bundle 1 is sealed with a ceramic adhesive, and a cylindrical tube plate 3 is formed so that the hollow fiber bundle end 2 is open. A gas separation element treated so that the other end 4 of the hollow fibers constituting the fiber bundle 1 is not opened is installed in a metal module container, and a pressure difference is applied between the inside and outside of the hollow fiber bundle to perform gas separation. This is what we are trying to do. As the inorganic porous membrane hollow fiber bundle, for example, an aggregate of porous glass hollow fibers obtained by using borosilicate glass as a raw material, spinning it, phase separation, and acid treatment is used. In addition, it is important to use a ceramic adhesive with a material that has a small difference in coefficient of thermal expansion from the inorganic porous membrane hollow fibers in order to prevent damage during the bonding process. For example, a mixed frit adhesive obtained by mixing low melting glass and negative expansion ceramics is used.

C 1 In gas separation in chemistry, the raw material gas is generally supplied at a high temperature of several hundred degrees Celsius or higher and a high pressure of several tens of kg/cm 2 G or higher, and it is better to perform recovery and component adjustment at high temperature and pressure. It is advantageous from an energy standpoint, and naturally heat resistance and pressure resistance are required in gas separation modules. However, due to the large difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the ceramic material constituting the tube sheet of the gas separation element and the metal material constituting the module container, sufficient consideration must be given to sealing the module container and the element tube sheet.

As shown in FIG. 3, the modular container structure may first be considered to be a structure in which the tube plate 3 of the gas separation element is tightened with flanges from both sides via gaskets 12. In this structure, the element tube plate 3 is attached. It is clear that gas will flow out from the housing part if the element tube sheet 3 is damaged, and therefore ceramics, which is a brittle material, is used as the element tube sheet material. Naturally, this cannot be permitted as a pressure vessel structure.

To solve this structural problem, the fourth modular vessel structure that is permitted as a pressure vessel has been developed.
As shown in the figure, a method was adopted in which the module container body was sealed so as to surround the outside of the element tube sheet sealing portion.

In the module assembly process, the module is assembled at room temperature, and after the module has been heated to the operating temperature, the outer cover 6 is removed, and the element tube plate 3 is tightened with the hexagonal bolt 7 to tighten the tube plate retaining flange 13.
It is necessary to retighten the sealing gasket 12, which causes problems in terms of workability and safety since it is not easy to operate and involves high-temperature work. Next, the flange of the outer cover 6 must be designed to a size that can accommodate the element tube plate holding flange 13, and the outer diameter of the outer cover 6 becomes extremely large, resulting in poor operability. causing significant deterioration.

Furthermore, heat radiation loss from this flange portion cannot be ignored. Furthermore, in terms of its function as a gas separation module, the separated gas is contaminated by an anti-seize agent (e.g. Molycoat) applied to prevent the hexagonal bolts 7 that fasten the element tube plate 3 from seizing due to high-temperature use. There is also the problem that the gas separation module cannot be used as a gas separation module depending on the purpose of the separation gas.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks in mounting a gas separation element in a module container, namely, the difficulty of retightening the seal portion of the gas separation element and the fact that the tube sheet may be damaged during the retightening operation. We need to resolve the problems of gas leakage to the outside when broken, difficulty in handling due to the large outer diameter of the flange and heat radiation loss from this part, and problems of separated gas contamination due to the anti-seize agent applied to the bolts. It is something to do.

(Means for Solving the Problem) That is, the present invention provides a tube sheet for a gas separation element obtained by sealing the ends of an inorganic porous membrane hollow fiber bundle with a ceramic adhesive to form a cylindrical tube sheet. In a module container, a gasket is placed on the upper and lower surfaces of the module container, and an element tube sheet pressing jig is installed to press the gasket, and a gland packing is provided on the side of the element tube sheet pressing jig to seal the module container, and This method of sealing a gas separation module is characterized in that the gas separation element tube sheet gasket is sealed by adjusting the element tube sheet holding jig with a mounting bolt installed outside the lid of the module container.

In the gas separation module of the present invention, the element tube plate 3 is sealed by the gasket 12 on the end face of the tube plate holding jig 14, and the gas separated by the inorganic porous membrane hollow fiber bundle 1 is transferred to the element tube plate. It passes through the cavity of the holding jig 14 and is supplied to the process from the permeate gas take-off pipe 10 . The sealing surface pressure of the gasket 12 is adjusted by tightening the element tube plate holding jig 14 through the lid 6 with the hexagonal nut 8.

On the other hand, the module container is sealed using the side surface of the element tube plate holding jig 14, and the gland packing 18 inserted into the gap with the module container body 5 is used.
It is done by The sealing surface pressure of the gland packing 18 can be adjusted by pushing the gland presser 15 through a presser bolt 7 arranged to penetrate the lid 6.

Since the diameter of the gland seal portion of the module container is almost the same as the diameter of the tube plate 3 of the gas separation element to be housed in the module container, the flange diameter of the lid 6 is smaller than that of the conventional gas separation module shown in FIG. This makes it possible to make the module container smaller and lighter, and to significantly improve the workability of transportation, installation, operation, maintenance, etc. of the module container.

When using the gas separation module at high temperatures, it is necessary to retighten the seal. In the gas separation module of the present invention, the gasket 12 necessary for sealing the tube plate 3 of the gas separation element and the gland packing 18 necessary for sealing the module container are tightened from outside the module container via a hexagonal nut 8 and a hexagonal bolt 7, respectively. It makes it possible to do what you do. As a result, work efficiency has been significantly improved compared to the conventional gas separation module shown in Figure 4, which required the lid of the module container to be removed when retightening the tube plate seal of the gas separation element. The safety of retightening work has also been improved.

Furthermore, the gland packing 18 installed on the side of the element tube plate holding jig 14 prevents gas from leaking to the outside even if the ceramic tube plate is damaged during tightening of the tube plate seal portion of the separation element. It can be prevented.

In addition, in order to use the gas separation module at high temperatures, bolts and nuts are usually coated with an anti-seize agent to prevent seizure, but the module container according to the present invention has a fastening portion of the bolts and nuts in the gas flow path. There is no contamination of the gas in the flow path with impurity components scattered from the anti-seize agent, and a separated gas of high purity can be obtained.
